The biggest tragedy of India is - first these people gain the confidence of illiterate Indian masses with very honest talk. Everyone starts believing them and starts following them blindly. Having traveled to several nations, both developed and developing, I was struck by how well they maintain cleanliness in their cities. A prime example is Taipei, Taiwan-despite having a large population comparable to major Indian cities, both the government and citizens collaborate to keep their environment clean. Women can walk the streets at night without fearing for their safety. India desperately needs prominent voices like yours to champion this cause. Our cities, tourist attractions, and bus/train stations need significant improvement to ensure they are not only clean but safe for everyone. This has brought Indian economic policy to be tweaked at will by the IMF etc. By the year 2025 the total govt earnings will only suffice to service those loans. The corporate-political class/the fascists have engorged the state and the andhbhakts are drunk on the idea of some golden age...just like in the Nazi Germany.

While I agree with Sadgurus message to support an elected govt, not at all sure about his numbers/ perspective on hunger, poverty and conditions in India. 600 million hungry people is seriously exaggerated in the face of free rations to 800 million people. As are his claims on lack of toilets and access to water. While Sadguru is right his argument needs to rest on updated facts

Democracy is just a tool for the USA to keep countries like India in a weak, divided, confused state.
Democracy gives them space to plant Deep state(deeply hidden Institutions, NGOs) within the country, they with their ton of money and power spread a huge network into Media, Politics, religion. Everything gets compromised. Using this network they do their best to influence India's policy and make sure they grow slowly by causing unnecessary protest at development sites, causing riots, exploiting social divisions etc.
In 2014, there was a report presented to PM(Manmohan) by CBI, this report stated that 300 NGOs are involved in causing unnecessary protests at important developmental projects causing India's infrastructure growth to be delayed by at least 15 years.
If China was a democracy, they wouldn't have developed to this point because the USA would have stopped their major projects, and killed their top scientists delaying important projects by 20-30 years.
Most of the Sadhguru works is focus on rural India, He also run multiple schools in rural India to provide education and one time food.
People can have different opinions at different times, most opinions have certain boundaries and perspectives. It is important to understand the context.

I hope that one day the Sadhgurujii would talk about and inform the audiences at different places how India was sort of looted by the British and made poor and to make India a developed country isn't a joke. Don’t see the connection between supporting a government and the starving and homeless.
We can go on and on about humanity. But It begins at home.
Can lament about others not having humanity. Got to trust everyone’s working to the best of their ability towards eliminating hunger and homelessness. Many are also trying to educate others with reason that our economic policies themselves are STILL stacked against this suffering humanity as well as the working or middle classes.
No one talks about the silent killer tax of inflation. It’s a disease and is really behind this continuing poverty and mass suffering. People still get carried away by video interviews of economists talking about 8% growth with 5% inflation. Truth is that the growth for the poorer and working classes can only just be within 1%. So apart from not having savings, they get the double whammy of any new income being reduced by nearly 5%. Yet most of the literate classes blindly think that everybody grows at 8%. So 5% inflation is bad and deadly. When the US with such a robust and variegated economy is paranoid about even a 2% inflation, how do literate Indians think 5% or 4% is okay even as 600 million have literally nothing? That’s where, perhaps, we need to show humanity by being downright against such befriending of inflation in our economic policies. And by way of being honest with government. All our governments have been treating inflation like a friend since 1947, while all other nations have always treated it like a real insidious and deadly foe.
