I am 100% feeling proud that India company can compete with china . But this seems too good to be true because they buy all raw material from china. So what if china is secretly running a chines company using a indian. I think in directly tly we are helping Chinese companies . Particularly when Congress party is working with china to defeat Modi. Why india cannot put duty on Chinese ready products and even spares.

While Waaree Energies is making significant strides, 70% of their raw materials still come from China. This dependency puts Waaree at risk if China were to impose export restrictions or price manipulations. The Chinese dominance in polysilicon production (83% globally) remains a major challenge, and building a fully independent Indian supply chain will take significant time and investment.

    • @econifywithanubhav
      @econifywithanubhav 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

Hey dushyant! Totally agree with you. One big evidence of this is when Indian govt had to defer the ALMM or the Approved list of Models and Manufacturers - basically a tool to prevent procurement from Chinese suppliers. The indian developers had various complaints - inadequate domestic module manufacturing capacity, lower quality of domestic modules compared to Chinese tier-I manufacturers, and higher prices of domestic modules. Yes, it has been reinstated from April 1,2024 but we need to see how it goes.
But having said that, we do need to take steps to gradually decrease this dependence. Apart from subsidies, one good thing that the Govt is doing is creating a lot of demand. With policy support and demand push, the supply side will definitely catch up.

Well if you look at data, services has historically generated more employment and wealth in India, compared to Manufacturing. Manufacturing typically needs huge capital to establish and may not generate as much employment in return. As examples, we can look at service based companies like Zomato, Swiggy, Zepto, Urban Company, OYO and ofcourse whole lot of IT companies.
Secondly, there are many countries which have become huge economies expanding their service sectors - examples include UK, Singapore, Switzerland - and now the Middle east is expanding their service offerings too to diversify.
And so the question - are we buying the Manufacturing story a bit too much? Food for thought.

Volkswagen is thinking about shutting factories in Germany! Can you believe that? Volkswagen is a German company.

Whilst countries like Vietnam, Bangladesh (solely for the textile sector), korea etc are catching up - we too should not lag behind - given the opportunity....India was once upon a time - some ki chidiya because of our world trade...

Soft power is important and also It's not the external ministry's job to improve the higher education system. Arguably it's not even a central government job. It's more like a state government job.
But In India no one is interested in State elections and local municipality elections are even worse situation. Our state election is basically if you like modi as PM then you have to vote BJP and if you don't then you have to vote for any other party other then BJP becos all other have to hate MODI and all are in alliance and political defeat of one alliance or the other is more important the actually issues of the state. That is why conditions of our states are not improving even though our economy is.

But do we have Enough Raw material ? We don’t have it. And its never too late, we have already taken some huge steps to make india a huge hub for Manufacturing. MAKE IN INDIA has proven to be a milestone initiative in this regard. Companies like WAREE IS working towards the goal which none of the other counties is seeing or dare to achieve it. schemes are coming up, and its working in favour of such companies. I believe that India should consider alternative options such as hydroelectric cells, which are 100% eco-friendly and have more power than solar panels.
    Key features of HEC include:
    - Generates electricity with just a few drops of water
    - Completely eco-friendly
    - No external energy or chemicals needed to process
    - A groundbreaking solution for sustainable energy
Hydroelectric cells were invented by Dr. R K Kotnala and Dr. Jyoti Shah. If the government invests in this invention, I believe that India will be able to dominate other countries since it's an invention by Indian scientists and is made in India.

Extremely high taxes means any businessman trying to setup a factory. will be paying high interest and high taxes. This ends up being most businesses acting as trading companies to import from China.

Will it be okay for solar panel factories to start small in the future? Can we compete with China? Is raw material easily available?3+3 ,India also gives tax benefit of three plus three to foreign exporters.

Maybe you're right, solar panels supply is needed more after citizens are using subsidy for their homes.

When India just starts to focus on a certain field and has not yet achieved any substantial results, it will hype it up to the world that India will become the dominant country. China will not hype it up when it has already dominated a certain field. In fact, you often even have to consult the literature in the relevant field to find out the status of China. This is the difference. India is just a poor non-industrialized country with a per capita GDP of only $2,500, but looking at the propaganda of Indians on TH-cam and Twitter, I thought India was a top technology power and a superpower.
