American Family's FIRST Filipino Merienda at the FANCY Kabayan Hotel, Pasay, Philippines

- We really enjoyed our first Filipino Merienda! We were hosted by the Kabayan Hotel in Pasay, Philippines and we loved the hotel. It had such a nice, fancy feel to it. The decorations at the entrance and throughout the hotel really add to the great feel of the hotel. We got two connecting rooms that were so comfortable and nice. The special additions in the rooms were a good surprise: slippers, free water, and toiletries.
As part of the stay, we were able to eat the delicious food. The breakfast buffet and the Merienda both had great food that the whole family enjoyed.
If you want to have a great place to stay, we would recommend staying at the Kabayan Hotel in Pasay. Here is their contact information:

Nice to see Kabayan Hotel, originally a transit point for travellers due to its proximity to the airport, getting an upgrade. Those rooms are beautiful. And, the hotel interior exquisite.

calamansi is squeezed on the fork, not on the spoon. you can also put a little soy sauce over the pancit. pancit is yummy sandwiched in between breads with coke as your drink.
Huwag mo paki alaman kung papano gawin nila. Importante nalasahan nola yung kalamansi.🙄 OA nang fota

Jake’s way of eating pancit is actually how most filipinos do it. The condiments of garlic , green onions and esp the calamansi. It makes it taste better. We put calamansi in a lot of our food, like arroz caldo or goto.Foreigners usually eat those as it is but it is better to put calamansi because it makes the taste less greasy.

mommy heather, pancit noodles and garlic bread are a common everyday breakfast of filipinos. it match with cofee or hot chocolate . when you mix the kalamansi juice in pancit noodles the sour and saltyness will combine and it will bring a very delicious and good taste 😊😊

*merienda (snax) buffet* was made popular by the restaurant called *barrio fiesta* sometime in the 90s or the early 2000
price was P300 per pax with wide selection of pinoy fave snacks & delicacies (no left overs allowed)
after pandemic, i noticed a few major hotels were offering *merienda buffet* (P500 per pax or less)
my fave is the goto / lugaw or the rice porridge with various spices, flavorings & condiments added + halo2x
When you squeezing calamansi, use fork instead of spoon. This way the fork will strain the seeds while the juice will go straight to the pancit.

Just a suggestion. Why don't you put a caption which is very captivating to make your subs and non-subs to click your videos so it may have more and more views? Just like other TH-camrs are doing. I can't stand with people vaping/smoking after every meal inside the resto. Rude and inconsiderate with other customers.
Where to next? Back in the USA? Europe? Baguio? It's too hot in the Philippines right now. I always avoid April & May there.
