- This episode we continue to clean the other side of the vanity drawers. When going through the bottom drawer, I found an American Eagle gold coin! That is absolutely crazy that I had something of such value placed carelessly in a bathroom drawer. It should be placed in a safe or deposit box at the bank. But it makes me wonder...do I attach too much value to ALL things? For example: the gold coin is worth more than my flat iron in market value. But my flat iron and gold coin were stored together...do I overvalue all my objects and that is why I hold onto everything? Is there no self value scale I set for my belongings? Something I need to investigate about myself!!

I also have the same issue with older stuff, this has been studied too, the more we touch items and attach our memories and identity to them the harder it gets...something that has been around in forever for me has a deep seated connection with my identity, and in my case it is also because there has been a lot of discontinuity on all levels so objects, I have found, have acted as "roots" as something solid and stabilising in a world that felt unsafe and everchanging...hope sharing this makes sense and could be useful for someone reading
Late to this but it’s so helpful to hear others say that things are part of their identity. I have been trying to explain this to someone who just doesn’t get it.
make up cleaning wipes or nail polish remover if super bad cleans the curling iron.

The Lion's Club accepts glasses and donates them to those in need. I think many of the eyeglass chain stores also collect them for charity.

January 2024. I got rid of a pile of books and magazines yesterday. I checked an art book out of the library. I have plenty of craft supplies. Maybe 1/10 as much as you do. Tina, Al's wife

I put random keys in a little container in my junk drawer I usually find what they go to amazingly!
I know I’m watching this late on but you were on about glasses I give my old ones to a charity for third world countries. It makes it easier for me to get rid (hate that word) of.
