I built a 96 with a Tim Judge 85.5 mm Flat top, Novi's, exp and ported cases, true/welded crank, 46mm carbs, Riva CDI etc...was a fun 70+ mph old school ski! I used the 65U also...
label1877 I actually sold mine and picked up the same machine that was fully built. It’s still in showroom quality, looks factory on the outside until you pop the hood. It’s a sleeper! It ran in a few of IJSBA races down in Florida. It’s bored out, Factory pipe, etc.
Do you still have the ski? Pretty sure I sold you that motor, I’m waverider1200 from greenhulk, I had same set up and was awesome! Pulled holeshot on everything but the fast ski eventually catch up in a straight line at least.
Depends on where you place your feet when riding, everyone is a little different. For height, you want it to put a little pressure on your foot, so I would put on whatever shoes you wear (if any) while riding and see where they need to go.
I have a 96 waveraider and it starts just fine but the stop button and lanyard won't stop the motor even replaced the switch any ideas on where to look or possible problems?
Sam - 1995 was the last year of the lightweight hull. I have the 1995 Waveraider 700 and it's the last year of the fiberglass hull weighing in at 388lbs. The Waveraider Deluxe has a composite hull and adds 75 lbs onto it over the fiberglass hull. I bought my 1995 Waveraider new in 95 and hardly use it - it still runs 60 mph trimmed up. It's completely stock but very light and the 700 engine is bulletproof! One of the best ski's ever made, in my humble opinion!
Where did you get the black grip rubber around the hull? I have a 96 waveraider 700 and want to repaint it a custom color. If you have any other Ideas, I'll send you my email and phone. Thanks man.
My 1995 Waveraider 700 is completely stock and runs 60+mph trimmed up - it's a rocket right from the factory! A tournament bass boat clocked me on the Arkansas River. I think the 1100 did run 70+ mph from the factory.
Nothing beats old school 2 stroke muscle skis like this

What d you mean by lightweight hull?
is it a different hull or did you do somthing to it to make it lightweight
How did you get the exhaust to come out the back like that? I have the waveraider 701 and im trying to do the exhaust like that
Don’t do it. It literally sounds like a goddamn lawn mower
I have a buddy that has one and we put the stock exhaust back in real quick
Какой подрывной мотор!👍🙂
What type of paint did u use and what's around the bumpers
I noticed on some of the pics you have lifting wedges about how far back did you place them on the hull and how high up? Thanks!

What did you coat the rub rails in? How does it hold up?

Where did you get the jet ski edges?
its just hydro-turf wrapped around the edge. Its big with blasters and stand ups
@jetskisrule111 i dont get how the exhaust is out the back like that
What kind and size are those handle bars?

This is the way to do it. Buy an older Japanese ski. Higher maintenance yes but ...no payments and no full coverage insurance.
@jetskisrule111 dang well someone needs to find the plans on how to build it
My dream right there !!

I remember these from when I was a kid they used to claim 71 mph from the factory
