    Thanks for the guide! This turned out to be extremely helpful at my school, since we had gotten about 45 of these PC's from our support department, which were all locked, but removing the green pin fixed it all. Thank you once again! 🙌

    Man this is just what I needed!! I was looking for one hour how to remove the bios password on a 2nd hand pc that I bought and it was just that jumper...
    Thanks!

    solved my issue. Thanks for the video. It was very informative and it was exactly what I was looking for. I was wondering why I couldn't access the boot menu and since I bought this computer second hand, I didn't know the original password.

    This sounds great but guess what it did not work. I removed the jumper and it is still asking for the Power-on password. So this it not a fix for all ProDesk 600 G1. I even removed the CMOS battery and let it sit for 20 minutes. Still asking for the password.

    Hei, please answer quickly if you can. Does this also reset the other BIOS settings?

    • @MyITWorkshop

      Hello,
      Nop, HP desktops normally have another button to reset bios setting (except password). Bios password reset should not reset other settings.
      Hope it help
      Thanks for the comment

    Hello, I have an HP elitedesk 800 g2 i did the same as you explained in this video but the password still there, please any idea how to do it in my case, thanks.

      Hello Mdazhardware
      ,
      The password you want to get rid of is the Bios or System password correct? I ask because the Hard Drive password has a different process.
      Now, I found the manual for your model: h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04828077 Page 51 or 59. You can see there "PSWD" in the bottom right of the image. Is that the one you removed? Just a reminder; shutdown the computer, unplug the power cable, get rid of the static electricity in your body or ground yourself, locate the "password jumper" somewhere in the motherboard, remove the jumper, turn on the computer, the password should be gone, shut down the computer, put the jumper back.
      Hope it helps
      Thanks for the comment!

    Hello! Was looking at your bios reset video's and saw this one and the one for the 600 G3 mini. I have a 600 G2 mini.
    The system board of a 600 G2 does not list "PSWD" near the blue jumper, that is near the cmos chip. It has 3 short positions though, the first set of pins is shorted by the blue jumper, remaining 2 positions are open.
    Do you know if this blue jumper position on the G2, and removing it, also corresponds to resetting bios passwords?
    Secondary question, more advanced, do you have any experience with modifying HP bioses? In the near future I'm looking at adding a external egpu through the nvme, but I read HP uses a device whitelist for the nvme slot that excluded egpu solution.

    Hi, I have the exact same hardware. I got stuck in a secure boot page "I changed secure boot configuration" and the computer asks for authorization code and the keyboard does not work.

    • @MyITWorkshop
      @MyITWorkshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Vahid,
      The keyboard does not work? Other than changing it to another USB port or trying another keyboard dont know what to say. I dont remember this HP model having the option to disable a specific USB port.

    • @vm_music
      @vm_music 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MyITWorkshop Yes you are right. There was something wrong with the keyboard and USB port. So I changed my keyboard and used another port and it works now. But I am certain that all my USB ports and my keyboard are safe and sound. That is weird though. Thanks.
