      Hello,
      I think i found the manual for that model here: h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06506645.pdf
      Based on that, item 17 is the jumper for the password. If true, then the process would be similar to the one in the video.
      Hope it help

    @My IT Workshop Wonderful tips!! Do you know if there is the same procedure for an HP Prodesk 405 G6?

    • @MyITWorkshop

      Hi,
      Depending on the model the reset pins are located in different location on the motherboard. The process is similar after that.
      Now, newer/some models might not have the reset pins at all. In that case getting in contact with HP Support will be the way to rest the bios/admin password.
      Hope it helps
      Ty for the comment

      @@MyITWorkshop I have spoken with HP support and they tell me that in this model you have to change the motherboard and it costs more than €400

    • @MyITWorkshop
      @MyITWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gusibiza WOW!
      I did not expect that....
      Dell support, if the device is under warranty, will give you a "master password" based on the model you have to access the bios and change the admin/bios password.
      Sorry to hear that :/

    It looked like it worked before you put the jumper back. Do you need to replace the jumper at all?

      Hey,
      It works without the jumper. However if u leave it out, the next time you turn it on it will show the same message.

    I'm loving your videos ( just subscribed) . Would any of your videos help me reset the admin bios password on a HP 600 G6 small form factor desktop ( 10th gen) ? I'm able to see most of the bios information ( specifications etc) and i can access the boot order, but no usb device ever shows up ( because of the bios lock) . So it doesnt have the power on password, just the admin bios password. Would you be able to point me in the right direction please? Any help would be much appreciated sir !

      Hello,
      I haven found a jumper on that motherboard model .
      New HP/DELL models don't come with the reset jumper anymore.
      Maybe i was looking into the wrong manuals.
      I leave the hp official website here: support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/desktops
      You have to type your serial number that can be found in the BIOS or in a label somewhere on the case. That way it will take you to the correct site for that specific model. From there you can check its manual and see if that motherboard has a password reset jumper.
      Hope it helps
      Thanks for the comment.

    Thanks for your video--I have liked it and subscribed! I recently purchased a used Elitedesk 800 G4 and had a question. I have flashed an image file of Batocera (a Linux based emulation platform) on my internal M.2 SSD and keep getting the "Selected boot image did not authenticate error." (This also happens to the Batocera images I've created on external USB and external SSD.) My G4's BIOS and firmware is up to date. I have tried to disable Bios Sure Start and disable Secure Boot. I enter the codes and restart. But the BIOS keeps returning to Secure Boot enable. The "Clear Secure Boot Keys Option" is always greyed out and I cannot change it. I have posted a question in the HP Support Community and no response. I thought I'd ask if you have any suggestions since you seem very knowledgeable about how this hardware works. Thank you!

    • @benonemusic
      @benonemusic 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I found the answer to my own question, in case anyone else encounters this issue. When I attempted to disable Bios Sure Start, and disable Secure Boot, I had been entering the codes in my keypad instead of the number keys above my keyboard. It turns out you need to use the number keys above the keyboard for these changes to take effect. When I did this, I was able to disable secure boot. Batocera now works. Thanks again for your channel and for helping so many people.

      Hello,
      I have the manual here: h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06913105.pdf -> page 94. It mentions "Clear Password Jumper"
      HOwever, there is no pic of its location on the motherboard.
      It if does not have a "pass reset jumper", try: shut down the computer, disconnect everything from it, press the power button for 20-30 secs, connect everything back and try again. In many small models HP removed the jumper.
      Hope it helps
