Thank you Emily! I have done these rolls but I’ve never known how to use them. Very great ideas on using up my scraps that I’ve been currently working on!
Thank you so much! I’m kinda new to the journal world... I don’t journal but have always made things out of paper and fabric... so this was great info!!
Great ideas for the snippit roll! I have a sewing/cutting mat with grid marks and measurements directly on top of my old desk and then a piece of glass over it.
I love your snippet roll and your ideas of what to do with them! I can get tempered glass at my hardware store here. I want to do the glass on top of my table also. If you do it make sure you get the finished edge... Hugs!!
My studio table is an entirely glass top on a metal frame that my husband made. You can order glass to fit your desk or table. Be sure to ask for finished edges. I love mine.
I love these ideas🥰 You can get tempered glass precut from Hobby Lobby. You are limited by the sizes they have. You can also get it from local glass places that replace car windshields. I have a precut piece from HL and I added legs on four corners to have a taller work surface and storage under it.
I have the Most Gorgeous Amazing Snippet Roll! The Artist was the Beast You can't get Better! Oh That's right it was You!! Emily it is so Beautiful I Love it! If she has them in her Store Just Buy it! I'm really thinking o making a hanger or taking it for a frame and using it as Art on my Wall. Thank You so Much !
I've never done a snippet roll and have always wanted to do one. These are all really good examples of what we can do with them and yes, they were all helpful. Thanks, Emily! xoxoxo I bought a glass dining room table to use as my work desk. I'm not using it yet because I have two craft/bed rooms in flux right now. I have to figure out what to put on the underside of the table so everyone won't see my legs when I make videos. If you have any ideas, let me know.
Great snippet roll. Can you show us how you SEW on this roll...what thread tension, machine, and thread do you use. Do you have issues with the adhesive gumming up your sewing machine? Thank you so much for sharing your talent. I have a roll from the cardiologist's office--for electrocardiograms..
Mary Ann Evans thank you, Mary Ann! I have a computerized Brother machine. I’ve never changed the thread tension, so how it came out of the box is how it is lol! I use regular all purpose thread and a regular sized needle. I’ve never had issues with glue gumming up my machine. If you’re worried about that, you could always pin or clip pieces in place and sew them down as you go. I have very little sewing experience, so I may just be lucky, but my fairly inexpensive machine works beautifully even with the abuse I throw at it 😊 I hope this was at least somewhat helpful ❤️❤️
@@JunkJournalInspirations YOU are Lucky!. I have a small Janome for crafting in the craft room. I must admit, I haven't used it several years...but, now...hmmm. I also have my Mom's old Singer circa 1926 made in NJ, plus a brand new unused Brother with self-changing threader... Time to dig through Mom's old bits and my stash..She made all of my clothes (except undergarments)..yup, winter coats, prom gowns, & upholstered furniture. I. started crafting in 1996..I'm a hoarder. (even copied fun postage stamps, collected cancelled stamps, have Nat. Geographics dated back to 1938....the list goes on. Thank for your quick response. New Englanders have the same saying about the weather. MA in CT.

I can’t take credit for thinking it up on my own, but it is genius 🥰
Thank you so much! I’m kinda new to the journal world... I don’t journal but have always made things out of paper and fabric... so this was great info!!

Tuesday Moriarty you could paint the underside maybe?
I was thinking maybe that. Not sure that color would be best for the camera.
Are you still doing the live tomorrow? Did you choose a time? Such fun things to do with the snippet roll! 😁💜👍🏻
Sammi Jarrad i am at noon my time, so 9 am for you I think ❤️❤️

I say give it a go with the Brother. The worst that might happen i think is you’ll need to change the needle. Happy crafting!!
Yes measure you top of desk and go to lows or Home Depot and get your glass
Hummer Klein thank you so much!
I watched you make it...but WHAT DO YOU DO WITH IT AFTER YOU MAKE IT??????
Did you watch the video above? I made a few things with the snippet roll.
Where do you get them the little kids. ?
Hummer Klein I’m sorry, I’m not sure what you are referring to.
Hummer Klein I figured it out lol! The little girls were packaging from stamps that I have.
