SamSho! My favorite fighting game since the first one came out in the arcades over 30 years ago. I remember lining up my tokens to play the next round at the arcade when it came out. Sweet nostalgia. So glad they still make these games
@@TheFightingGentlemanits because this came out around/before covid and the full standardization of rollback games right? similar to the first granblue
Warden plays surprisingly like he does in For Honor. Though it's mostly because of both games' core mechanics. Throw works pretty much the same way in both games: instead of dealing damage it opens the opponent to a heavy; in For Honor you can chose to throw your opponent in a direction instead to drain some of their stamina (once out of stamina a character loses access to their specials, their normals don't chain and they take chip from every hit, so it's somewhat like disarming in SamSho) and reposition them, kind of like a back throw. Feinting is a core mechanic in For Honor, every character can feint (cancel the startup) of their heavy normals. Parrying is also a core mechanic, and it works very similarily to deflect, except it's really easy to do on reaction (that's where feinting comes in): if you match the opponent's stance (left, right or top. They did a decent job in adapting it to 2D by makign it high, mid or low), it breaks their stance and opens them to a punish. Warden's charge is what's called a bash: a quick unblockable attack that deals no damage but guarantees a followup light attack; you can also hold down the button to throw off opponent's evasion timing, when fully charged it gains unlimited armor and guarantees a heavy followup instead. And yes, you can trebouchet people in For Honor. In 4v4 game modes, characters gain access to "Feats", single button skills that work on a cooldown. Warden can call a delayed trebuchet strike that pretty much oneshots anyone who's cauth in the blast.
my girl, Baiken: getting it done and superb tournament with a sweet diverse cast taking part. Grats Cipher and Scrub for the epic Grand Finals but huge thanks to the other participants as man that was epic
It would be a fun one to watch, but with the easy and limited movesets, I don't think there would be much going for it competitively, but still a good series.
@@TheNaturalGamer1 Not what I mean, it's easier and more grounded than most modern fighting games, I don't think a big enough fan or player base would find a big competition that entertaining, but that can always change if it happens.
Game is a sword ⚔️ fight can’t be having 200 slices it’s realistic in that way… and still have powerful looking chemistry…. Always been my second 3rd pic after Sf & mk
@@RetroGamesMas Those are the same year, it probably would have been released on NES if it wasn't locked to the NeoGeo, and that claim is very, how do we say, jaded. SamDho is a retro series, that has gotten better with every instalment, the original SamSho is still a go to in arcades. It has only "died out" because it is not as big as a title as other SNK fighting games or FGCs in general, but the fan ase still has a very special place in their hearts for this series. But if you don't like it, leave, you don't have to be here just to be a buzz kill, this is a great game, that is spawned from a series created back in the era of your precious NES, if you even play any of the games from it.

This game is so good I wish more people played it online
It sadly became discord fighter shortly after coming out. But itbhas a better netcode now so it might get a resurgence.
My main would be Hanzo, so that's why I don't play.

@@FusionCometyeah, also the first release was on google stadia🤣😂
There aren’t enough gimmicks and the game is full of moves that require commitment. The FGC does not have the nerve to play this game.
Still my favorite fighting game in 2024
Game reminds me sf4. This game is so good.
Me too

Dude, Lateenx's Warden is CLEAN as hell! Always exciting to see more SamSho!
Damn, Saibot has been looking unbeatable in this game. Great job, Cipher.
OMG, TNS is running Samsho now? HECK YES!!!
I can never find people to play online, this game needs to make a comeback, it's SO good!
Old school game 🎮 ❤🇹🇹 🇹🇹

I need to hop in the next one of these.

Te la rifaste, Cipher.🎉
Super bullet looks like Van Dame's friend in the kickboxer movie.
Brown sugar pop tarts is best pop Tart. Fight me
Fight you? Nah dude you’re spitting facts
I need to get back to this game, but I missed the Steam sale though...
July 29 is the Steam Summer Sale, hopefully it will be lower than, right now it's 35% off, waiting for half or more to buy.
w game
Wait why is Baiken in this game?
Games have guest characters. Warden himself is from For Honor.
Imma bouta to samshow up
I LOVEEEEEE SAMSHO so much but i be getting grey hairs with how stressful it is to watch. Its worth it
Baiken absolutely destroyed this game.
Dude needs to learn how to take turns talking man. Rome getting cut off like every 2 seconds
Needs to be at evo then it’ll get respect
Grand Final is great nail bitter
Sogetsu. ❤️ Good to see some kind of diversity. Baiken is boring.
And seeing Kazuki, one of my personal favorites, Genjuro would be cool to see too
Wow warden is good I never dl him… sogestu too
Samurai showdown no sequel 😅
Day 173 of asking when DoA tho
DoA is underrated for sure. Best 3d fighter mechanic-wise imo
DOA is definitely Dead 😂👍🏾
