shinobi and kunoichi were samurai, the term ninja was a more modern ideal. They were a specialist branch of samurai trained in espionage and spying so by historical record everyone in this is samurai xD
TNS are the only ones who can keep this game alive! Hopefully they can create some buzz for SNK to release rollback on consoles and crossplay. I mean I'd friggin pay for that update!

why wont they let them get their weapon back? here in the Philippines we let our opponent get their weapon back. we live by the code of "whats the honor in winning against an unarmed samurai" dunno maybe we're just the ones doing it here in PH..
Man, I just found out about this 2019/2021 version of SamSho and with the added roll-back code... I know it is considered a "Discord game" these days, which is a shame cuz that means I'll be jumping in with maniacs who play this day in and day out, I'm an old man, I won't have a chance. 😂 Price is a bit much as well, considering... still it looks awesome.
