I am from Indonesia and used mate 20 pro almost 1 year, no complain at all. Mate 30 pro look amazing, I will consider to upgrade my phone to Mate 30 pro.
In fairness to Huawei they've cracked on without Google . The mate 30 pro is probably the next technologically advanced phone out right now. It's certainly why more powerful and advanced than iPhone 11. Not sure about that curved screen though. I'll have to take a look first. Well done Huawei , I absolutely loved the mate 20 pro. Looks like the 30 pro is an absolute beast.....
i`m not so sure regarding the curved screen mate , the 2014 galaxy note edge i think made the curved display "a thing" , and even then it was actually very useful , so waiting to be impressed with what features the huawei curved screen has .
I've got a Mate 20 Pro. I like it a lot, had a iPhone 6s before that. Very happy with android & huawei. As the Mate 20 Pro still holds its own as far as general use (calls, messages, IG/Snapchat/FB'ing & the occasional photo here and there) , I'm not going to upgrade just yet, probably won't do it until the battery performance decreases significantly (and it's stellar at the moment) .. Thanks for the review, and when the time to upgrade comes, this one will probably be the one that I'm gonna get. Cheers!
Don't need to worry about Google service, all the Android photo can install it, i live in china and I success to use Google service installed by myself easily , it should be easier to install it in the other countries

I am currently using an iphone, i also have a huawei Mate 20 pro as my back-up phone and gaming phone. Given with its specs, i can say that its more smooth and snappy than that of s10+ i also previously owns.. again its specs is beyond its what it is priced for than what you get with iphone and samsung flagships... and for mate 30 pro, i bet its gonna be more fun vis a vis its price compared to iphone and samsung flagships

What I am interested to know what is audio quality of the speaker while speaking to someone, due to sound is delivered over the glass? Also, does this model has NFC function?
The audio quality on my Mate 30 Pro has been pretty good so far, you don't really feel any difference as compared to a physical earpiece speaker when you're on a call. The plus side is that people around you can't easily eavesdrop on your phone call unless you max out the call volume. And lastly, yes the Mate 30 Pro has NFC function.
Charging the smartphone in the car can be done as quickly as at home or at work with the HUAWEI SuperCharge Car Charger 40W and the Wireless Car Charger 27W.
Were you still getting updates on the sideloaded Google Play Store Apps? Wasn't sure that'd still be possible, so good to know you can. Of course Android updates are a whole other story.
To the first .. Idk but if is then that a relief .. as to android updates .. at least it ships with android 10 out of the box so we're off to a good start right?

A lot of foreign phones that don't come with the Google Play Store pre-installed are capable of sideloading it, most notably Lenovo and Xiaomi phones with Chinese Roms. It's nothing new, but I think the media has led people, like myself, to think you couldn't do it on the new Huawei phones.
@@xig4385 Well the Mate 30 Pro having Android 10 pre-installed pretty much gives users a year for everything to hopefully get worked out. I think Huawei claims they can handle the regular software updates themselves, or am I mistaken.
I think it should have live photo like iPhone has, it's so awesome to be able to shoot super wide angle action photos and choose the best frame afterwards. Miss that on my p30 pro
Huawei has Prohibited to sell in us market but I believe a lot of us consumers are still looking to buy one of this most powerful high end performance product.
Good video review! Unfortunately for us in the US this phone will not be sold here. Sure one can buy on Amazon and have it shipped from abroad, but it would come with no warranty. I don't think this trade war will end anytime soon, but hopefully in a year's time and we can get our hands on it.
Guys I got a question .. why would I need both a main lens and an ultra wide one .. or more accurately, why can't the wide angle lens replace the main camera lens?
the main camera is RYYB, the same from p30 pro, and it produces much better night shots and has ois. the wide-angle lens is RGGB, so not as good in low light but specializes in taking video, i think processing RYYB into RGB is too intensive for videos
Why are your photos captured are more better than those who made some early reviews? sometimes it gets to my mind just they do not know hiw to take good photos.

Ive used slowmo to slow down helicopter blades before and I think it's pretty cool and a useful feature to have for a travel vlog. I just hope Huawei implements an AI auto-capture feature that starts recording slowmo as soon as fast action is detected in a scene which one has focused on i.e. finishing line for example. This can help prevent missed opportunities. With the kirin 990s AI chops, this shouldn't be difficult... so again, I hope Huawei does that
You simply hit the record button and it records about a second of the video. If you want to record a longer video, you need to switch to a lower framerate.
Huawei MUST include: 1: Package which provides a Universal Email to replace GMAIL, A youtube Killler and a Apps Store to kill off Google App store. This package should include a migration tool to suck out all the data to the new system and should support multiLanguage. 2: Make a killer search engine to rival google search.
Mate 30 Pro is such a great phone. Great design, incredible camera and top specs. Too bad it was a victim of politics. I like that Huawei was really pushing the envelope, they were the new Samsung. Great review!

I do not like fragile distorted sceens, no regular headphone jack, no volume buttons, no regular sd card, no physical fingerprint scanner. I love the cameras, bi wireless charging, smaller notch, secure face id and gestures, the oppo licensed zoom, slow mo is insane however I dont think it is real just ai predicted and enhanced. No standard google may me many problems with update. Price like iphone and note 10 is way to high. Looks are great too. Should have stereo speakers. Rog 2 has a 6000 mah battery, 120hz screen, headphone jack, dual usbc, color accurate display but only average cameras, but much cheaper.
I have the note 10 plus and as fantastic as it is I tend to agree with what you say. The mate 30 pro looks like it'll smash everything else out there including iPhone 11 pro.

That could lead to unwanted adjustments of the volume due to accidental sliding tho

Yes, you do. Once installed, everything Google just works as usual, including updates.

Good question, have not seen anybody answer that question yet. If I had to guess, it take a short 2 second clip and lengthens it considerably.

I do not like fragile distorted sceens, no regular headphone jack, no volume buttons, no regular sd card, no physical fingerprint scanner.
I love the cameras, bi wireless charging, smaller notch, secure face id and gestures, the oppo licensed zoom, slow mo is insane however I dont think it is real just ai predicted and enhanced.
No standard google may me many problems with update.
Price like iphone and note 10 is way to high.

I have the note 10 plus and as fantastic as it is I tend to agree with what you say. The mate 30 pro looks like it'll smash everything else out there including iPhone 11 pro.

Weaker Display, less runtime (apples 3900 mah last longer than huaweis 4500mah one), photos look shittier, CPU is WAY Slower, and so on....
