I think Kraven’s motivations were understandable and clear as day. He’s a big game hunter, but also an old man who’s terminally ill. He just wants to find someone worthy of defeating him.
I am constantly comparing him with Howard. Both were given similar death sentences, but Kraven ran from his family to die in a blaze of glory leaving his family to be destroyed, Howard sought a new home for his family. I think the comparison was intentionally put in the game. Can't wait to see what the DLC will be not that there are many characters left in the game, at least for the villains.
About the Li fight, when he's in his bubble you just need to perfectly dodge his attacks until lightning strike is full and then you can lightning strike him out of the bubble. Idk if thats the intended mechanic there since you can change Miles' abilities, but it makes the fight a lot more interesting.

I got a disagree with you on Mr negative he was probably one of my top three boss fights because I played the game on spectacular difficulty so memorizing his patterns and mechanics was frustrating but rewarding
Honestly I don't think I have a boss fight in the game that I'd consider inferior to the rest. Some were more challenging, sure. But they all were awesome Even the fights with wraith and lizard
he had the teleport slash that he would do multiple times in a row, then a parry move, then a crush move, then a bubble, then his horizontal attack , then he pulls you into negative new york, that was sooo dope!
Thing is, they do explain in the game how Kraven has his strength, but I assume some people don't bother with the stealth because they like to blaze through it. Personally I prefer smaller details being revealed through goons rather than Kraven having you pinned and going, "Now that I have you trapped, Spider-Man, I shall reveal to you how I have come to be such a menace, like you. It all started when I ate this plant..." And I wouldn't exactly say that Kraven was put into the game just because. He's the driving force for what happens throughout most of the game, sort of the catalyst if you will. Yeah, the final big bad was Venom, but Kraven is what caused all the events to lead up to that act to happen. All because he was obsessed with having a final hunt that would result in his death at the hands of an equal. It's probably just me, but he didn't feel forced in whatsoever.
Kraven has superhuman strength, agility, senses, and slowed ageing. In the comics he gained these powers through ingesting many secret jungle herbs and potions found in many of the lands he hunted in.

To me, all of the bosses are fantastic. I loved memorizing their moves so I could perfectly counter them. I died a few times on most of the bosses, but that allowed me to deepen my knowledge and ability to master the mechanics
Facs, same with @DarkClassicGamer. Lizard was tedious bc you couldn’t normally dodge his tail and you had to jump. Scream was hard bc it had 4 PHASES, that’s like the amount of phases as a final boss, and her hair was hard to avoid bc it felt like it had infinite range 😂
About Miles being put 2nd in the story: This is the sequel to the first game, this is more peters journey. Miles still had his moments but this game was made for Peter to tackle his own issues and overcome them.

Didn't word it very well lmao Who knows after this trilogy they might have Pete take the back seat for a game or 2 and give Miles a few full length games as opposed to "spin-off length"
This is one of the few games where I was more intrigued with the dialogue than the actual gameplay fights. There was so much emotion and story telling where half the time I was just listening to the dialogue rather than actually fighting 😅
What was the biggest weakness of the first couple of games in my opinion has turned into one of the best thing about this game. I'm glad the game had me struggling in spectular difficulty for a change. My only nitpick is that the parry button and the prompt during attacks is not reliable most of the time.
@@DaemonSharkSpiritOfFire Depending on the enemy, it goes from white flash to "bam" too late, or with some others it starts yellow and I wait and wait for it to go red but they take forever but by the time it goes red it's too late. Sometimes I'll press the button early and it still works and other time I get the timing right but it doesn't.
Kraven was amazing in this as a villain. He was done justice in here. He was always one dimensional. Kraven is menacing and he has a reason for what he does
The fact that you feel so powerful and invincible as venom symbolizes how Harry feels with the symbiote on, like he can do so much more than ever before. I would have liked if you played as Peter in the Peter vs miles boss fight so like venom could talk to you in your head and tell you to kill miles even though Peter doesn’t want to ( and the worst part would be that you would control Peter and do the dirty work to realize how Peter feels under the influence of the symbiote )
Kraven is just amazing, insomniac made him one of my favorite villians for spiderman, he's a beast, just a giga chad that I respect so much. This guy literally conquered every land and country he went to. Hunted everything he could, even sneaked in wakanda and got out undetected. All so he could die, he literally refuses to die in a deathbed but rathen he wants to die with honor fighting an equal. He wants to die but refuses to lose to any inferior beings, he gives his all in all his fights. Even with venom. He knows he is gonna lose but still fights until the end. Only an equal may taste his last breath. Such an underrated villian. So glad what they did for his story. His boss was so hard on spectacular, yet amazing

I hated the fight against Scream or Shriek or whatever she's called in the comics. For one it makes no sense for MJ to be turned into a Symbiote, then the whole banter is super distracting and very woke shit as if we needed any of that. WE ALREADY KNEW Peter and MJ's relationship was hard due to Peter being Spider-Man we already knew about how hard it was for Peter to be at his job and get money to pay the bills because of being Spider-Man. We didn't need this this boss fight whatsoever and neither did we need this dialogue. WE ARE IN THE ROLE OF PETER AND SPIDER-MAN WE ALREADY KNOW HOW HARD IT IS! And it was in the first game aswell. They just wanted an excuse for doing pro women stuff. Get with the times and all that. On a technical level i HATE THE ARENA, that bitch was constantly going out of bounds and the game kept pulling me back. She zips around constantly horizontally and vertically which makes the lack of a proper lock on a massive camera issue. The same camera issues makes dodging her projectiles harder because you're dodging blind. She has 3 health bars for no freaking reason aswell, she should have been the quickest and easiest boss fight in the game and she isn't...

I was actually humbled by lizard, really didn’t expect the boss fights to be so tough, after that though I got better at using the parry, oh and mr negative is the only boss who has attacks that cannot be dodged or parried but must be jumped over
we all knew it was coming and still the Miles vs Peter boss fight was so awesome for me. reminded me of Link vs Shadow Link but just so epic with the build up and setting of it. the dialogue really hit too with the two of them going back and forth.
Persinally i did not like any of the kraven fights they were counter to the way he spoke of himself ... it would have been interesting to have kravens family as mini bosses to get to kraven
Most of the bosses were really hard for me because I was on the hardest difficulty and didn’t upgrade until after I finished the main story because I like the game hard. I loved all the boss fights because of it that way I didn’t feel like I was op
Not sure if you did this on purpose but you didn’t include the Wraith boss fight from the flame side mission. Even though it wasn’t apart of the main story I feel like it includes an honorable mention because I enjoyed playing through it!
Kraven is terminaly ill, that's why he hunts superhumain so much because he wanted a warriors death. The reason his so strong is because he took animal injections, which made him so strong.
Even in the one mission where you are like a spider spy there's lore on his family his cancer and even the thing that makes him strong as well as in the MJ mission there's voice recordings where kraven is describing how he killed certain villains. I honestly feel like anyone who says Kraven doesn't make sense or was bad just don't understand his arc whatsoever
In the 90s cartoon/comics he was a big game hunter and got injured to the point of death… his love interest was a doctor and she gave him a herb (I believe imo the heart shaped herb) that gave him super human abilities but corrupted his mind SN the best part of the scream fight was when she told that fool he can’t keep a job 😂😂 … 🤔 does anyone else feel like Miles was the stronger of the 2 in this game?
This is definitely based on personal experience of how your fights played out. The Lizard was really hard because of the brutal guessing game of whether you had to dodge or parry his next attack and how unforgiving the timing windows were. Miles vs Li was also better for me. The bubble only lasted a couple seconds until you could use your abilities to break it in one shot and it only happened a couple times. The rest of each phase was a normal back and forth boss fight with great visuals and story. Idk if I’d raise its ranking though, but that’s because every boss fight is pretty damn great.
When your on the mission with Peter when you encounter kravens pet tiger theirs this red liquid in a bottle that when interacted with Pete says something along the lines of “so this is why kravens so strong?” And personally I loved kraven more than I did venom his backstory motivations and family dynamic/drama made for a real interesting character
I'm really disappointed that 1-2 year experienced Miles with electro-punches beat the shit out of superhero veteran with crazy powerful black goo alien that ALMOST KILLED Kraven. It's ruined symbiote arc really badly, cause, you know, it's PERSONAL story for Peter, where he struggles with his inner demons by HIMSELF. I just can't believe in Miles' victory, just how highscooler can defeat an adult with 10 year fight experience. And also Scream boss fight from plot view is the biggest piece of shit
The police weren’t aware leaving really existed until the took scorpion and li but they had the cloaking Twix and there great at what they do so I just thought of it as like they couldn’t track down kravin
I’m going to give my ranking and my own reasons why! (I’m excluding the side bosses such as mysterio) The worst main story boss in my opinion is: Symbiote Peter Parker On my first playthrough of the game, I spammed m1 the entire fight and never lost once. On my ultimate difficulty mode playthrough, I found so many odd glitches and bugs with the boss that were so annoying to fight against. Now don’t get me wrong, the dialogue in this fight is one of my favorites in the whole game, and the overall cinematics are really well done, but that’s pretty much my only good critiques about him Coming in second to last is: Scream. Just like the Peter Parker fight, I absolutely loved the dialogue in this fight, the thing that makes it better then the Peter Parker fight is that it’s actually kind of difficult. I failed numerous times until I got the boss which is what I usually want to see in a boss fight. However, I didn’t feel like the boss had a huge impact on the story. You could literally remove scream from the story and the story would still feel the same. Coming in next is: The lizard. Now there is a bit of bias here due to the fact this guy was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE TO FIGHT in my ultimate playthrough. All bias aside I don’t really have a lot to complain about. The boss felt fair to fight, the dialogue in the fight was good, I guess some of the attacks felt a bit unfair but that’s pretty much all I have to say about him, overall a pretty solid fight that you’ll probably have some sort of fun with every single run. Coming in next is: Mister Negative. I was honestly a bit surprised he was placed so low in the video, because I honestly enjoyed this boss. The boss didn’t feel buggy, the dialogue in the fight was great, and it felt really fun to fight. Overall a very fun boss. Coming in third place is: Kraven The Hunter! Unlike symbiote Peter, this boss fight was honestly the second hardest boss fight in the game for me. And that’s what I love about it! I love the bell gimmick, and how you actually have to focus up to win! Oh. And the dialogue is great! A great boss fight that I had a great time with on both of my playthroughs! Coming in second place is: Venom! Easily the hardest boss in the game for me! The dialogue is fantastic in this boss fight! And the boss was honestly one of the harder video game bosses I fought. And he was definitely worth fighting! A fantastic boss fight! Coming in first place is: MR SANDMAN For a tutorial boss fight, I was absolutely blown away! The way the boss was shown in showing you how to play the game was absolutely genius! I had so much fun with this boss fight and it really helped drag me in to play the rest of the game! A very very very great boss! Conclusion: 7th place: Symbiote Peter 6th place: Scream 5th place: The Lizard 4th place: Mister negative 3rd place: Kravin the hunter 2nd place: Venom 1st place: Mr Sandman
This game was supposed to feature Peter more than Miles because it was his sequel... not Miles'. I was actually disappointed that we were forced to fight Mysterio with Miles instead of being able to choose to fight as Peter because I definitely would've. There's only 1 Spider-Man as far as I'm concerned. Peter first appeared in 1962... Miles didn't show up until 2011. I want to fight ALL the rogue's gallery villains as Peter! I could care less about Miles. I could've done without him.
I just finished it and wow I wasn’t expecting such a challange in the boss fights. While they where frustrating (my biggest struggle was the final stage of venom) it did feel extremely rewarding to win. I remember dying one last time and going “you know what venom f*k you this time it’s personal” and completed it😂. My fav boss was peter

First off its difficult while the screen is spinning all over the place trying to find a decent hit, I'm sorry my biggest upset with this game is the fighting mechanics, simply trash coming from a triple A games unfortunately, thank god I was gifted this game bc I'd be pissed spending $70 on, this game is worth $40 at best, one of the weakest ps5 games this generation
I think mine is glitched because I hit the god damn lizard prob 200 times in combos and his FUCKING LIFE would only be at half at this point? I'm ready to give up. This game has too many glitches. I'm on friendly mode and everything has been pretty easy besides the glitches like this!!!!
The fact you put the mister negative last shows how good this game was. I really enjoyed the fight and the impact it had on Miles. Every fight was better than every fight in the first game. Worst fight in terms of difficultly was venom vs Kraven. I wish it was harder. But I get from a story point of view why it isn’t, as it wants to show you how OP venom is.
I just finished all the bosses in the game and personally i think the scream fight was the worst. I LOVED the dialog but the gameplay was just so boring and repetitive. I think if that was better it would have a been a really good fight.
I highly recommend that you play this game on Ultimate. Yes, the attack patterns are the same but some attacks are pure bs. By that, I mean they are literally one hit kills. Also, you forgot about Wraith. Know she’s not a major boss but you included Mysterio
Mysterio was easily the worst fight IMO. Just plain boring and had no mysterio charm like it should’ve had. Best fight was Peter for me, eventhoigh i died loads, he was the right amountof difficult to make the deaths fun
If you're wondering how Kraven the Hunter got his powers its from a potion he got from a witch doctor though it's never confirmed where he got it in the game it is confirmed that he did drink potions. Also in your video you said you wanted to play as Venom they're making a Venom game next year yay.
I want to add that because you mentioned that it wasn’t discussed why Kraven was so powerful. It was revealed at the dinner party mission when sleuthing around his office. Pete discovered chemotherapy drugs as well as strength enhancers mentioned in a small line of dialogue.
Lizard fore was actually pretty hard. Scream was crazy hard and kraven ,man he came at me full steam. Mr Mehative was just far too long, it was what 6 or 7 different rounds? Thats ab as far as i am right now

All the Boss fights had little to No emotional impact IMO.. the story telling in this game was very poor. Most of them were just visually pleasing thats about it.

The lizard boss fight was the one I struggled the most with in the whole game. I died over and over and over again especially in the last stage.
I think a lot of the bosses were probably easier/ harder depending on how many upgrades you had at the time.

i died at least 5 times in the MJ/Scream boss fight cause i kept paying more attention to the dialogue than the actual fight 😂

Yeah, my brain kept registering the parry signals as “dodge” instead, so I’d just continuously get my shit wrecked, by Venom especially.

Yeah your spiders se triggers before the parry window so you have to rely on the yellow flash on the enemy and not your spidersense

if you read the hints throughout the game and listen to dialogues they do explain kravens reasons and why he's strong

The fact that you feel so powerful and invincible as venom symbolizes how Harry feels with the symbiote on, like he can do so much more than ever before. I would have liked if you played as Peter in the Peter vs miles boss fight so like venom could talk to you in your head and tell you to kill miles even though Peter doesn’t want to ( and the worst part would be that you would control Peter and do the dirty work to realize how Peter feels under the influence of the symbiote )

Kraven is just amazing, insomniac made him one of my favorite villians for spiderman, he's a beast, just a giga chad that I respect so much. This guy literally conquered every land and country he went to. Hunted everything he could, even sneaked in wakanda and got out undetected. All so he could die, he literally refuses to die in a deathbed but rathen he wants to die with honor fighting an equal. He wants to die but refuses to lose to any inferior beings, he gives his all in all his fights. Even with venom. He knows he is gonna lose but still fights until the end. Only an equal may taste his last breath. Such an underrated villian. So glad what they did for his story. His boss was so hard on spectacular, yet amazing

I hated the fight against Scream or Shriek or whatever she's called in the comics. For one it makes no sense for MJ to be turned into a Symbiote, then the whole banter is super distracting and very woke shit as if we needed any of that. WE ALREADY KNEW Peter and MJ's relationship was hard due to Peter being Spider-Man we already knew about how hard it was for Peter to be at his job and get money to pay the bills because of being Spider-Man. We didn't need this this boss fight whatsoever and neither did we need this dialogue. WE ARE IN THE ROLE OF PETER AND SPIDER-MAN WE ALREADY KNOW HOW HARD IT IS! And it was in the first game aswell. They just wanted an excuse for doing pro women stuff. Get with the times and all that.
On a technical level i HATE THE ARENA, that bitch was constantly going out of bounds and the game kept pulling me back. She zips around constantly horizontally and vertically which makes the lack of a proper lock on a massive camera issue. The same camera issues makes dodging her projectiles harder because you're dodging blind. She has 3 health bars for no freaking reason aswell, she should have been the quickest and easiest boss fight in the game and she isn't...

I was actually humbled by lizard, really didn’t expect the boss fights to be so tough, after that though I got better at using the parry, oh and mr negative is the only boss who has attacks that cannot be dodged or parried but must be jumped over
we all knew it was coming and still the Miles vs Peter boss fight was so awesome for me. reminded me of Link vs Shadow Link but just so epic with the build up and setting of it. the dialogue really hit too with the two of them going back and forth.
Persinally i did not like any of the kraven fights they were counter to the way he spoke of himself ... it would have been interesting to have kravens family as mini bosses to get to kraven

Most of the bosses were really hard for me because I was on the hardest difficulty and didn’t upgrade until after I finished the main story because I like the game hard. I loved all the boss fights because of it that way I didn’t feel like I was op

Not sure if you did this on purpose but you didn’t include the Wraith boss fight from the flame side mission. Even though it wasn’t apart of the main story I feel like it includes an honorable mention because I enjoyed playing through it!

The reason his so strong is because he took animal injections, which made him so strong.
Even in the one mission where you are like a spider spy there's lore on his family his cancer and even the thing that makes him strong as well as in the MJ mission there's voice recordings where kraven is describing how he killed certain villains. I honestly feel like anyone who says Kraven doesn't make sense or was bad just don't understand his arc whatsoever

This is definitely based on personal experience of how your fights played out. The Lizard was really hard because of the brutal guessing game of whether you had to dodge or parry his next attack and how unforgiving the timing windows were. Miles vs Li was also better for me. The bubble only lasted a couple seconds until you could use your abilities to break it in one shot and it only happened a couple times. The rest of each phase was a normal back and forth boss fight with great visuals and story. Idk if I’d raise its ranking though, but that’s because every boss fight is pretty damn great.

When your on the mission with Peter when you encounter kravens pet tiger theirs this red liquid in a bottle that when interacted with Pete says something along the lines of “so this is why kravens so strong?” And personally I loved kraven more than I did venom his backstory motivations and family dynamic/drama made for a real interesting character

My only issue was that miles and peter never actually fight full on venom like that together in the game, only when he fights Bully Parker
I'm really disappointed that 1-2 year experienced Miles with electro-punches beat the shit out of superhero veteran with crazy powerful black goo alien that ALMOST KILLED Kraven. It's ruined symbiote arc really badly, cause, you know, it's PERSONAL story for Peter, where he struggles with his inner demons by HIMSELF. I just can't believe in Miles' victory, just how highscooler can defeat an adult with 10 year fight experience. And also Scream boss fight from plot view is the biggest piece of shit
The police weren’t aware leaving really existed until the took scorpion and li but they had the cloaking Twix and there great at what they do so I just thought of it as like they couldn’t track down kravin
I’m going to give my ranking and my own reasons why! (I’m excluding the side bosses such as mysterio)
The worst main story boss in my opinion is:
Symbiote Peter Parker
On my first playthrough of the game, I spammed m1 the entire fight and never lost once. On my ultimate difficulty mode playthrough, I found so many odd glitches and bugs with the boss that were so annoying to fight against. Now don’t get me wrong, the dialogue in this fight is one of my favorites in the whole game, and the overall cinematics are really well done, but that’s pretty much my only good critiques about him
Coming in second to last is: Scream.
Just like the Peter Parker fight, I absolutely loved the dialogue in this fight, the thing that makes it better then the Peter Parker fight is that it’s actually kind of difficult. I failed numerous times until I got the boss which is what I usually want to see in a boss fight.
However, I didn’t feel like the boss had a huge impact on the story.
You could literally remove scream from the story and the story would still feel the same.
Coming in next is: The lizard.
Now there is a bit of bias here due to the fact this guy was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE TO FIGHT in my ultimate playthrough.
All bias aside I don’t really have a lot to complain about.
The boss felt fair to fight, the dialogue in the fight was good, I guess some of the attacks felt a bit unfair but that’s pretty much all I have to say about him, overall a pretty solid fight that you’ll probably have some sort of fun with every single run.

I was honestly a bit surprised he was placed so low in the video, because I honestly enjoyed this boss.
The boss didn’t feel buggy, the dialogue in the fight was great, and it felt really fun to fight.

Unlike symbiote Peter, this boss fight was honestly the second hardest boss fight in the game for me. And that’s what I love about it!
I love the bell gimmick, and how you actually have to focus up to win! Oh. And the dialogue is great!

This game was supposed to feature Peter more than Miles because it was his sequel... not Miles'. I was actually disappointed that we were forced to fight Mysterio with Miles instead of being able to choose to fight as Peter because I definitely would've. There's only 1 Spider-Man as far as I'm concerned. Peter first appeared in 1962... Miles didn't show up until 2011. I want to fight ALL the rogue's gallery villains as Peter! I could care less about Miles. I could've done without him.
I just finished it and wow I wasn’t expecting such a challange in the boss fights. While they where frustrating (my biggest struggle was the final stage of venom) it did feel extremely rewarding to win. I remember dying one last time and going “you know what venom f*k you this time it’s personal” and completed it😂. My fav boss was peter
Boss fights in this game are ridiculously too long and for nothing. First off its difficult while the screen is spinning all over the place trying to find a decent hit, I'm sorry my biggest upset with this game is the fighting mechanics, simply trash coming from a triple A games unfortunately, thank god I was gifted this game bc I'd be pissed spending $70 on, this game is worth $40 at best, one of the weakest ps5 games this generation
I think mine is glitched because I hit the god damn lizard prob 200 times in combos and his FUCKING LIFE would only be at half at this point? I'm ready to give up. This game has too many glitches. I'm on friendly mode and everything has been pretty easy besides the glitches like this!!!!
The fact you put the mister negative last shows how good this game was. I really enjoyed the fight and the impact it had on Miles. Every fight was better than every fight in the first game. Worst fight in terms of difficultly was venom vs Kraven. I wish it was harder. But I get from a story point of view why it isn’t, as it wants to show you how OP venom is.
I just finished all the bosses in the game and personally i think the scream fight was the worst. I LOVED the dialog but the gameplay was just so boring and repetitive. I think if that was better it would have a been a really good fight.
I highly recommend that you play this game on Ultimate. Yes, the attack patterns are the same but some attacks are pure bs. By that, I mean they are literally one hit kills.

Mysterio was easily the worst fight IMO. Just plain boring and had no mysterio charm like it should’ve had. Best fight was Peter for me, eventhoigh i died loads, he was the right amountof difficult to make the deaths fun
If you're wondering how Kraven the Hunter got his powers its from a potion he got from a witch doctor though it's never confirmed where he got it in the game it is confirmed that he did drink potions. Also in your video you said you wanted to play as Venom they're making a Venom game next year yay.
I want to add that because you mentioned that it wasn’t discussed why Kraven was so powerful. It was revealed at the dinner party mission when sleuthing around his office. Pete discovered chemotherapy drugs as well as strength enhancers mentioned in a small line of dialogue.
