The Rebel X probably should have been the only trim option to have a Hemi since it's a special edition that's celebrating 10 years of the Rebel. That would have been a great tribute.
I6’s have been fantastic engines in pretty much any vehicle they’ve been in. There’s too much prejudice against this particular i6 just because the hemi is no longer an option.
I just bought one today, nice to see a video on it. For all the people bitching about a V8, you’ll be sad to know they stopped putting CD players in them too
Had a 2016 rebel red with black dual tone with air suspension. A v8 just fits the “rebel” nameplate. Plus it lasted me over 150k miles and i sold it back to the dealership for what i paid for it at 40k miles of 29k$ I will say. I own a 2022 laramie in hydro blue (v8 and etorque). It doesn’t give me that badass feeling. It’s pretty yeah, but man looking at my rebel i was always taking pictures of it cause how awesome it was lol even though it had 4x4 air suspension and all that jazz, some of the new luxuries in the laramie 5th gens are nice
Im not a big ram fan but this one is nice to look at. Interior is super nice, maybe a bit busy for me, but the contrasting colors are cool. I say this truck would be on point if it had a v8 and a price tag that was about $20-25k less. Guess I’ll just keep watching them on TH-cam
What I don't understand is why a 79K truck for 2025 is still using light bulbs for the brakes and blinkers. All led is the norm now. Cost cutting, at this price, is crazy. Just my opinion.
They can do a lot these days to quell NVH. Couple that with a straight six and it will be, you guessed it, smooth. We'll see if guys pick this over a Ford or Chevy V8. Nobody loves tech more than me, but I fully understand its not as reliable. That 5.3 Chevy is dead nuts reliable. The only plus here is the ZF 8 speed.
If we build it, they will come. There has to be a market out there for high end trucks, otherwise manufacturers wouldn’t be making them. I think the mentality is a little like high end sports cars that are built in limited numbers, but sell for big bucks. Nice video.
Supposed to be a loaded up truck and they give you the led reflector style headlights come one. It just makes it look cheap or cost cutting without the projector style.
I have a hemi and love it. I test drove a new rebel and the lighter weight up front was nice for daily driving. The hemi does feel like a tank in comparison.
I was able to test drive the Rebel X. At least it didn’t stall like the first one I tried and yes smooth w/ Bilstien shocks, than the night edition HD shocks. Yes to the shifter. 77K price tag, Yes, no Hemi sound, I would hear the stop/start at times, very subtle. The jury is still out, with other brands having engine issues, I’ll wait and keep looking and when I see it, I’ll let U know. Ram loyalist.
I am very familiar with Dodge trucks having a 2016 of my own. How are customers dealing with the lack there of a hemi in the lower trim levels I’m curious about the in-line six with the turbo. I have always loved the rebel model is the hemi an option if you order it? The price tag is not bad and I really like your reviews. They’re very simple and straightforward.
And that's the sort of economic intelligence we derrive from capitalism! lol It's nuts! I ain't got a sammich for lunch, but the wood trim on this dash sure is nice! Wonder what it tastes like! 😂
They can write-off their truck but not their groceries I guess. Maybe we need to change the tax code to get rid of the write-off everyone can feel the pain not just everyday Joe.
@coffee0076 I'd be okay closing small civic tax loopholes if there weren't hundreds of gaping corporate tax loopholes ensuring many corporations pay absolutely nothing in taxes. As long as that sort of corporate tax corruption exists, citizens will be asked to make up the difference. The last thing I'd want to do in this environment is close up any remaining remnant of relief a citizen might be able to take advantage of.
I wanted to ask how do u manage to take far shorts and for the thumnail u are sitting on the truck with the trucks side profile did u requests someone for that short?
Just cant get over how cheap the grill and lights look compared to the previous generation, the grill and tailights look like a tradesman. The new 6 cylinder might be a little faster but the Hemi will last longer.
That passenger screen is the worst idea ever. We ordered a new rebel and didn't choose the level 2 equipment package because I did NOT want that screen.
I’m very surprised this has the passenger screen and some premium goodies but is missing lumbar control on the driver’s seat? Also leather all over the dash and doors but is plastic on the lower dash panels (4x4 switch area) where you normally see it on the other rebels. Maybe it’s a diff package. Also ram, no power steering wheel adjustment even on the Tungsten!? Come on bro. Even Toyota has that their limited trims.
When is the American buyer going to wisen up... 90%+ do not need a big full size truck. We keep complaining about prices but we keep buying big expensive crap we don't need. I went and drove a Ridgeline and was instantly sold. If you get past the macho man mentality you will realize it's stupid for the vast majority of us.
Wait wait, women drive trucks too! I’ve put my truck to work on many occasions ( Bighorn) I’m so glad I’ve had them over decades. Workhorse! My apologies but a Ridgeline is not a truck.
Abolish EV mandates and credits, give credits for buying V8 American vehicles and charge tariffs on ALL imported vehicles being sold. This is what needs to happen.
For everyone complaining about the price of Ram trucks, or any other truck, why do you think that the prices are so high? Do you think it’s because Ram, Ford, and GM just want to stick it to you? Well, they don’t. All three have to deal with constant UAW strikes, and endless burdensome regulations from the federal government. Think about the high prices of the vehicles you’re complaining about when you go to vote. Maybe you are contributing to the problem.
The Rebel X probably should have been the only trim option to have a Hemi since it's a special edition that's celebrating 10 years of the Rebel. That would have been a great tribute.
I totally agree!
$80k for a Rebel? Crazy. Why not get the RHO with the HO SST for about the same price point?
Exactly for that price I'll get a chevy silverado 2500 diesiel for that price.
That I6 turbo is bringing the heat….but less fire and more microwave dinner 🤣🤣.
That's a bingo.
Too funny!!! They should of done like the ruevelto and keep the hemi and throw a battery soo its best of both workda
Your pizza rolls are ready! If you get a hemi, you'll roast marshmellows!
Bruh 😎 soooooo accurate
Still Love the V8. Ram should at least make the V8 as an Option
The only I6 I would ever buy is a Cummins 6.7L or the GM 3.0L I6 Duramax.
I have the 3.0 Duramax on a 2024 trail boss and absolutely love it ! Had a Cummins on a 2004 dodge 2500. Regret selling it back bout 8 years ago.
I6’s have been fantastic engines in pretty much any vehicle they’ve been in. There’s too much prejudice against this particular i6 just because the hemi is no longer an option.
If only they put the 3.0 duramax in the mid sized
BMW B58 I6
V8 is needed at its heart.
I just bought a Rebel X last week! I love it!
I just bought one today, nice to see a video on it. For all the people bitching about a V8, you’ll be sad to know they stopped putting CD players in them too
Why the hell would you purchase this piece of shit?

You’ll have to wait a few years and get it used
That's a better thumbnail! Great review Ben.

Cool truck.. I drive a mid size truck but if I ever go full size this is a contender
Your better of with the rho
Can’t go wrong with a Ram
Nice looking truck and the shifter is BACK!
BUT!! they got rid of the famous "mustache grill" that made the Rebel distinct!
Yeah I personally think these thumbnails are better now in this video.
This style is my favorite so far

Oh look what a nice truck! "Powering this is an inline 6"
*exits video*
@@xtremecoast absolutely….nobody wants that weak sounding I6 (especially at the price delusional Stellantis wants for it).
@@marcmcphee Sounds like shit!
Smaller weaker engine... more expensive than v8 is diabolical
I have a hemi and love it. I test drove a new rebel and the lighter weight up front was nice for daily driving. The hemi does feel like a tank in comparison.
Great thumbnail. This is more like it. No more emotional pics.

Great color! Does Ram augment the engine sound inside the cab?

79k. It's like Stellantis is trying to go broke
Instead of tons of screens I think it would be nice to have customizable ambient lighting
All reviews should start with the price.
If he did that you’d only watch the first two minutes of the video😅
the 2025 models revised the 2.0 engine so it uses direct injection but less hp
Dodge rebel looks good for a truck
Dodge ? 🤣🤣🤣 Dodge has nothing to do with the production of this RAM.
you should review this vs the raptor!
This thumnail is the best since u changed
80k for a rebel seems ridiculous, if I was gonna pay that much I would just buy a used TRX
I like where your head at!
They should've gone with a V6, not an I6. Ford proved that it's possible to make a V6 sound beefy.
Haha! “Bringing back the Heat!” Lol
$79 k for a rebel 😂. I paid $49k for a limited longhorn in 2019 this is gonna sit on the lot until they have a 25k worth of rebates
If it had a hemi 5.7 I would definitely buy. Pass on the hurricane.
The truck may be cool ❄️ But the price is too hot 🥵
to handle 😬
They need to put that engine in a new Dakota.
Does it have a recall yet?
Not as many as a ford that hasn't even been delivered yet
Great intro! LOve the Ram Rebel! I want a V8, like the good ole 318 😁👍
Prices go up. Lights all go to incandescent except the headlights. Ram going backwards, back to 3rd place in sales
Is it reliable on the 1500?
So people will drop $80k on a truck then complain about grocery prices…
And that's the sort of economic intelligence we derrive from capitalism! lol It's nuts! I ain't got a sammich for lunch, but the wood trim on this dash sure is nice! Wonder what it tastes like! 😂

No, nobody is buying these trucks because they can’t afford groceries or gas. Thank your buddy Joe for that
By someday you’ll grow up and you’ll learn how the world works, little boy.
I wanted to ask how do u manage to take far shorts and for the thumnail u are sitting on the truck with the trucks side profile did u requests someone for that short?
Tripod
Can I get this color in a 2500 w 8’ box?????????
Just cant get over how cheap the grill and lights look compared to the previous generation, the grill and tailights look like a tradesman. The new 6 cylinder might be a little faster but the Hemi will last longer.
$80K for any V6 in a truck is ridiculous!!
Just as well it is an INLINE 6 then.
That passenger screen is the worst idea ever. We ordered a new rebel and didn't choose the level 2 equipment package because I did NOT want that screen.
The heat from the hurricane is caused by it overheating lol.
By heat are you referring to the thermostat issues with the I6 turbo?
Lol
Very nice 😎
Bro those seats are the ugliest in any pick up right now
Can you get H.O. engine with this truck?
I haven’t seen one
@@jasonjacobs8343 No, you have to go RHO or higher trim to get the HO.
No
No.
Very nice 👌
Nice looking truck. But whoa, that price tag... I just don't think that's a realistic price for 90% of people.
The box is too short. The turbos cost 10k each to replace. Someone should make a kit for swapping a failed Hurricane for a Hemi.
79k for that piece of turd!? I’ve always been a ram guy but wow, it’s no wonder why stelantis is facing hard times
I don’t like that old-school cottage door on the bed reminds me of some Hansel and Gretel type stuff I need a traditional truck bed gate.
Only 79,000 dollars. For that price they can keep it.
Easier to hear the tires now that theres no V8 rumble...shame.

do ram rho
V8's out live V6 turbo
Do all the ram blinkers sound like that?? Sounds like it's broken... lol
Annnnndddd they can keep it for 80k.... Nice truck though!
NO DIPSTICK & PLASTIC THERMOSTATS. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Who is buying $80k trucks these days? I’ll buy used from now on I guess
4:09 lost me at 80k for a Ram truck 🤢
Duratrac's are way too loud and rough, Ram needs to pick a new tire.
They last a long time though
Maybe you should buy a prius
Any rough profile tire is going to make tire noise. There's way worse ones out there. Get a sport if you don't want the noise.
The exterior colour is rather insipid. No dial shifter is good. Interior is great. Don’t like the price. 😊
Who buys these trucks (or any vehicle) for $80,000???
People who get easily suckered in. Because somebody will buy one
When you look at what you get for $60k.. this one at $70k with discount won’t be so bad
This v6 makes me impotent
BEN...U LOOK RIDICULOUS. WATCH COMMENTS
Dakota sounds better
Lol
No one wants the V6 RAM. ALL the dealers in 100 miles of me have STOCKPILES of the 2025 rams just sitting there. They can't sell any of em.
LOL v6
80k lol
I hate that gaddamn tire noise!
Fake hot rod😂
Stop with the V8 nonsense. It’s gone get over it. It wasn’t that good anyway.
