  • In this video, Marek explains the importance of maintaining sufficient CO2 saturation for proper gas exchange. When we over-breathe-taking more than 15 breaths per minute, breathing through the mouth, or taking in too much air-it paradoxically does not translate into more oxygen reaching your brain and body. On the contrary, the depletion of CO2 from the body inhibits gas exchange and leads to insufficient oxygenation of tissues. Simple improvements can be achieved by keeping your lips closed, breathing through your nose, and slowing down your breath rate.
