As far as it comes to technicalities which set is better? I usually listen at 60Db maximum volume and my music library is very wide. Right now my daily drivers are the Truthear Zero Red. Thank you for answering in advance!
@@vasilenvasilev2995 Stellaris is in my opinion more technical. But it’s VERY bright and is fatiguing to like 99% of people. @@AudioAmigoReviews Thank you for answering! Man, it's really a lot of work you put in these videos! We really appreciate it, keep it up! I have a question if you don't mind: I decided to try something new and stuck with two options which are s12 2024 (since I never touched any planar iems and just want to give it a shot) and supermix 4 (which seems pretty nice all-rounder). How could you compare them? Or maybe you have some better recommendations ~same price gap?
They're both good IEMs, but have some differences. The S12 2024 will have richer, fuller mids and a slightly more relaxed treble presentation. The Simgot will have a leaner midrange, and more emphasis on the upper mids/treble, so a bit more vocal shine and percussion sparkle, but a less bassy signature. They're honestly both great all-rounders, just depends on how you prefer your mids. What are you currently listening to?
Actually a lot of different stuff, for now mostly jrock/jpop (I've never expected that)/punk/jazz and hip-hop I would say. Basically fast music with a lot of dynamics
@@dantesssneronov3949 Ok! Awesome. And what headphones/IEMs do you have experience with? Based on Genre I would lean towards the S12 2024, but you said you wanted something different, so knowing what you have would help. :)
For now my daily driver is Moondrop Aria 2. I used some really cheap earphones like Xiaomi pistons or jbl c200 and really can't remember the sound, but Aria became a significant improvement for me. Now powering it with EPZ TP50
@@dantesssneronov3949 So that is interesting. I say that because the Aria 2 is sort of like both, but in different ways. The Bass and lower mids are more similar to the S12 2024 edition. The Upper Mids and Treble are more similar to the Supermix 4. I'd say if you want less treble than the Aria 2, with more sub-bass, go with the S12 2024. If you want cleaner mids with more sub-bass than the Aria 2, go with the Supermix 4
Absolute great series of videos, Omar! Thanks! Two weird/complex questions: Dunu Talos or Heyday, considering the same price? And Performer 5 or Explorer, considering P5 double the price? (Both questions considering the general quality of build, accessories and technical performance, desconsidering tunning).
I have never tried the Talos. So I can’t speak to build quality. As far as technicals go, I believe it’s the same driver as the Dioko with a couple of BAs added in there. The driver in the Wu is a newer generation compared to the Talos and generally has better performance. I can’t say if the BAs make up for that performance difference having not tried the Talos. Sorry. You can turn off the BAs in the Talos though, so in terms of pure planar vs planar the Empress should win. As far as accessories go. I prefer the case and tips the Talos comes with. But the Empress comes with a much nicer modular cable. Both are full metal shells and should be solid in terms of build quality. The case on the empress is massive, but you can take the insert out and use it to carry way more than just the IEMs. As far as P5 vs Explorer goes. I prefer the included case on the Explorer. It’s just nicer in my opinion. And while the P5 comes with more tips, it’s not a huge deal. I do prefer the cable on the P5 though. It’s lighter and feels better in the hands. In terms of build, they’re identical. Same 3D printed resin design that Aful uses on basically everything. As far as technical performance goes. I’d say the P5 wins due to it’s extra BAs. I hope this helps
Great reviews man! If the letshuoer s08 and Aful explorer were the same price ($90) which one would you recommend? Will an apple dongle dac be enough to drive them? I really like your concept. I'm curious, I already have the EW200, if you were me, would you buy the MP145 or the Supermix4 with a difference of 10 bucks? I think the overall sound signature of the simgots will be similar, the treble can be uncomfortable, so I might prefer a warmer sound.
I picked up Hidisz and unfortunately didn't find them impressive. Technically, they don't make a difference with the $30 EW200. Especially the emphasis on letters like the S in male vocals is very tiring. I'm thinking of selling them and replacing them. S12, S08 you said that the same planar drive is used in all of them. Do you think I should try the SM4? Or would it be wiser to wait for the development of Planar technology? Do you have a suggestion that isn't tiresome but gives enough clarity?
Understood, thanks for helping me identify. I don't have the opportunity to try it to understand what I like, I have to constantly buy it. Is this subjective to my hearing? Is the state of being sibilant directly related to the definition of warm or bright? So you describe the S08 as warm, but will it still be similarly sibilant because it has planar features?
@ sibilant IEMs tend to be “bright” and I 100% would not describe the S08 as bright. It’s darker and warmer. If you’re sensitive to sibilance, then the S08 will most likely be safe. It’s even calmer than the Tanya.
Thanks for the videos! Which tips do you use with Stellaris? I think they have very good drivers. With AutoEQ sound great but have never been able to find tips that can hold them in place or that avoid ear canal discomfort after 30 min. My main sets are the OG PR2, the EA500, both with EQ to make them warmer, and Fudu. Looking for an upgrade in technicalities and needs to be comfortable. Debating between the Phoenix, Nova and Supermix. The size of Nova is probably the main reason I'm not willing to take the risk. What about the other two? Which one would be a better fit for such genres as metal, rock, trance?
If you want the tonality of the Nova but with smaller shells, the Supermix is the way to go. They're VERY similar in terms of overall sound. As for the Phoenix, I haven't heard it, so I don't know what it sounds like. Sorry!
@ if you listen to rock and trance I would go for the EM6L. I’m biased though. But I think you’ll enjoy the extra mid-bass power that the Phoenix has. You’ll hear it in a lot of bass lines and with bass guitar and drums. I’m an EM6L fanboy, so just take that into consideration.
If the s12pro and the HIdizs mp145 cost the same, which one would be a better buy? I'm afraid of the fit from the MP145 but also fear missing out the technicalities and awesome soundstage from them, also I like bassy, rumbly sets. I don't have the option to return the IEMs once bought. Should I go for the s12 pros? Are they too different in terms of soundstage and bass?
I personally would go with the S12 Pro. The MP145 is extremely large and doesn’t work for everybody’s ears. There isn’t much difference in technicalities, only in soundstage, and the different isn’t worth not being able to return them if they don’t fit.
These 4 beautiful videos got me to the conclusion that the NiceHCK F1 Pro is pretty much the best value among all the other similarly/slightly higher priced sets. Did I conclude correctly? I mean, if I can get an S12 for 65 bucks, why wouldn't I? It's even the same driver.
Hey bro between the magic one and the ew300,for overall resolution and female vocals(jpop),also dn you think either of them is an upgrade to the waner?
@@Neg-h8k In my opinion they’re both resolution upgrades over the Wan’Er. In terms of female vocals, the EW300 with the silver nozzles more closely matches the Wan’er in terms of overall tonality and female vocals.
I can get the s12 pro for 109€, but I also want the s08 that I can get for 80€... Having trouble considering reasons to not just buy both lol. My wallet is trembling
If you want both, get both. If you have to choose 1... Then what I would say is that it's easier to EQ the S12 Pro to the S08 sound signature rather than the other way around. If you dont wanna EQ then just get both hahaha
Man, there's no good deal of the Stellaris on Ali. I'm sad. Maybe I can ask if the local store still has them in the back somehow. I'm tempted to buy one of your recommendations here but feel wrong considering I could try in store the MagicOne, Explorer, S08 and the S10 2024 (practically S12 pro IIRC your video). Thanks for the tip, I'll keep that in mind.
The F1 will have less bass, but it’s the same driver and details. :)
I love the F1 Pro.
@AudioAmigoReviews so you prefer the ew300 over the magic one?
@ for female vocals yes. The V-shaped tonality of the EW300 with the silver nozzles works better to showcase vocals.
The MagicOne is more neutral.
I'm steeling myself and sticking to your $50 and below recs. You know, just to see where my preference and listening ability align with yours. ❤
Saving money is the smart thing to do in this hobby.
Lets you buy the newer better stuff later! :)
@@AudioAmigoReviews you're so right. This 11.11 sale is a nice excuse to refit the sucky cable of my Sony MDR 7550. And gotten myself the Wyvern Abyss and TRN White Tiger. Honestly mostly based on looks first lol.
Looking forward to the ones that I short list to audition in store. Maybe even move up the price bracket of those brands if I like what I'll hear.
Great series! You must have clocked in some serious overtime to get all that done. I think it most certainly paid off.
Just saw your graph of the relentless and I think it looks good. I really like how the relentless' treble extension keeps on going almost to 20K. I was able to find a few reviews and I like what I'm seeing and hearing. Looking forward to your take on it and wondering if it's on the spicy side for you.
Also, do you feel that that cable on the Nova is microphonic? It looks mesmerizing, but it's fabric, so I'm automatically weary. I was considering it until i saw the graph on the relentless. Jaytiss really likes them.
It’s microphonic, but not as much as other cloth cables I’ve tried. You’re fine as long as you’ve got music playing
