@@AudioAmigoReviews this review just motivated me to finally put some 350 filters on my T10. There is a squig that has a 400 on it and the graph looks a lot like S12 2024. Though that set doesnt have the 5-6k dip. Graph doesn't show much increase in bass but boy does it sound significantly warmer/thicker now. I'm torn, both signatures are so good. Which is crazy since I'm a basshead and the T10 really had to grow on me. Now I'm drunk on the kool-aid. Anyway, not sure if you have heard of Wildlight and Polish Ambassador, it's ethereal hippie dippy type music, beautiful and really comes to life with immersive soundstages. MR Fijiwiji also has some great music.
OK its 4am and I cannot put these down! Holy crap, I do not want to take the filter off so I guess I'm in love all over again. Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Blondie... Check NiceHCK BlueLuna modular cable (about $40 on sale for a cable with 3 plugs). Same design with screw-on plug attachment. But the plug assembly is about 4-5mm shorter than on S08 cable, if you'd think this is possible. DUNU Lyre cables have the same plug assembly (called Q-Lock Mini) as S08 but the cable has fabric outer layer and is very microphonic.
Hey, thanks for the perfect review! Quick question have you tried the SM4? I’m really interested in the S08 for its bass, especially for hip-hop, but I’m wondering if the SM4 would be an upgrade, particularly for the extra details that could help in gaming. How do the two compare in terms of detail and bass?
I do have the SM4. I don't really play competitive shooters, so I can't speak much to gaming performance, but people who game professionally find that Harman tuning is particularly good for competitive shooters. The SM4 is most likely better than the S08 for this. The S08 is much more subdued and warm that the brighter, more treble energetic SM4. It's not that the S08 doesn''t have the detail, more that the SuperMix4 pushes them front and center so you can notice them easier. That said, the S08 walks all over the SM4 in terms of Bass. The SM4 comes off sounding kinda thin and lifeless compared to the S08 in the lower ranges. The bass on the SM4 isn't bad, just nowhere near as punchy as on the S08. To sum up: Supermix 4 for gaming Letshuoer S08 for Bass
@@AudioAmigoReviews Thanks, that’s exactly what I needed to hear! I think I’ll stick with the S08 since I prefer a smoother, warmer sound without the treble fatigue. But do you think the SM4’s detail is worth it if I mainly listen to music and only game occasionally?
@@hmdal9360 I personally don't factor gaming performance into an IEM purchasing decision, because I'm not skilled enough for that tiny competitive advantage to be worth it for me. You can always pick up something cheaper with Harmann tuning and a good enough driver to resolve the details. The Truthear Zero (Blue), and Simgot EW200 spring to mind
Bit of an old set, but have you tried the truthears hexa and how do you feel these sit next to them? I am a big fan of neutral sound and detail without exaggerated texture, but I also don't want to be buying something that doesn't give a different enough experience.
I do have the Hexa! These are definitely darker. Hexa are neutral to my ears, while these are straight up warm. You'll feel the extra bass and less treble energy. You'll still get all the details of the Hexa, but they'll be a little less emphasized compared to the Hexa. I like the Hexa, but find them a little dry. When I want a neutral listen, I reach for the Xuan Nv instead, extremely similar sound, but with enough added warmth to add some color. Hope this helps! Thanks for the comment!
Can you pair the Letshuoer S08 with the Fiio KA13 ? Is it that power hungry or can the Fiio KA13 drive the S08 into it full potential ? Please lemme know your thoughts

Also, you got a new subscriber :) And thanks a ton for the diameters on the ranking list! i have small ear lady in the house too ;)
@@nickdawiz So, I’ve never heard the 500, just the 500LM. But if you’re used to the EA500, jumping to the S08 might make you miss a lot of that sparkle. The T10s will be a better choice I think. If you want to try a darker sound, go for the S08s you might like them. But if you loved your 500s and want that sound back. Go T10. Cheaper too! And thanks for the Sub! Welcome to the family!
@@AudioAmigoReviews Thank you for the detailed response! Then I was right in thinking that. There's just one hurdle - though i own a dongle dac (hidisz s9 pro), my daily usage is generally with a headphone jack. On the iPhone, it's the apple dongle. And from what I can gather, T10s require power to be driven, which is a dealbreaker. Would you comment on that? Or recommend any other IEM now that you know my inclination? :)
@@nickdawiz I’m assuming you’re using the Lightning Apple dongle. If that’s the case, then yes. I would most likely recommend a decent entry level dongle to power them. However, I’ve never experienced the T10 with the Lightning dongle, only the Apple USB C Dongle, and I know the Apple USB C dongle has more power than the Lightning version. I personally think the Apple USB C dongle powers the T10 just fine. Some folks prefer more power, but you might find the Lightning dongle is also ok. I listen at between 4 and 8 notches depending on the song or app. That means I have 8 whole volume levels I don’t use. Maxed out it makes the T10 uncomfortably loud… I don’t wanna damage my ears. I would say: try it with the Apple Lightning dongle first. If it’s not loud enough for you, grab something like the JCally JM7 or something else using the CX31993 chip. That should be more than enough for the T10.
@@AudioAmigoReviews Yes, lightening dongle is what I was talking about :) Fortunately I have both EU and US version (US version has slightly more power). My existing hidisz dongle may also be able to power it but it's sort of bulky. But your suggestion about the portable CX31993 or JM7 is actually pretty good. I could just keep it attached to the T10 permanently! I'll take a leap of faith and try exactly what you said - first with apple dongle, if not then buy the others. Sorry for taking away the conversation from the actual topic of your video and thanks a ton for helping me out!
My 2 most recent 10 of 10s are the S08 and the CCA Hydro. The Hydro has better technicals, but the S08 doesn't have any V shape recess of female vocals.
I also like the Hydro! Especially on sale. I prefer the S08 for the more balanced sound, and I think the Hydro can get a bit metallic in the timbre. But it’s KZ/CCAs best set by far and you can get it with that MUCH nicer cable. It’s a great option.
@@AudioAmigoReviews Just a side note for future reference. While most reviewers seem to look at Hydro as the best IEM from KZ/CCA - period, Tone Deaf Monk from his response to my inquiry said he think ZS12 Pro X is better than Hydro.
@@AudioAmigoReviews i think it is worth noting that TDM reviewed ZS12 Pro X which has NO Tuning Switch. The same case for Akros, and they both graphed them and it seem very identical to my eyes. However Akros still sticking to Hydro to be the best offering from KZ/CCA. This just proved even more about the different taste among reviewers.
@@faisalfirdausiinn4708 I think the more opinions the better. When reviewers disagree it tells you a lot about personal tastes. For example. @@aaronignacio4652 I tested them with the Apple USB C dongle, which has less power and oomph than the FiiO KA13. You should be golden! Enjoy the sound.
@@amalmathewgeorge2059 you’ll want something relatively flat and uncolored. Something kinda like a studio monitor. Your best bet would probably be something like the Truthear Hexa. Lots of people complain they sound “boring” but they’re neutral and balanced and very resolving.
Interesting music selection. Usually when I read people say x IEM is ideal for y genre, it confuses me because my music really comes down to mood. Classic rock, jazz, drill, you get the picture. S08 is quite a move apart from what we've come to expect of planars(bright sounding). Personally I'm a fan of the understated looks and especially the small size. MP145 is a banger set too, but they're quite chunky. Since I don't own a planar, I'm not familiar with what planar bass sounds like, so definitely something I'll grab down the line
If you liked the MP145, you’ll like this. They’re very similar, especially with the red nozzles. Planar Bass is essentially the ability to tune sets with higher bass levels and not have them come across as “muddy” or “muffled”. Compared to a single DD or single BA, you get a lot more bass thump and slam with less consequences. Sorta hard to describe how it comes across in-ear. Bass sounds fast and sharp, with the harmonics all being there.
@@muhammadali.8170 You got it! A single large planar can behave like a hybrid. It’s why they’re such an interesting value proposition. No they won’t compete with the really well done multi hundred dollar Tribrids or Quadbrids, it’s still just one driver. BUT. They’ll get you close, and at much lower cost. 1 driver is much cheaper and easier to implement that 3-4-5+
I listened to this side by side the Artti T10, and the S08 felt way too dark to me compared to T10. Maybe for loud listening and bass heavy genres, this is better, but for jpop this set doesn't work for me
@@miscwork-qb7pd I agree, for J-pop and other female vocal heavy genres, the T10s brighter more energetic sound makes the vocals pop more. But I honestly didn’t find any off-tonality in the J-pop I listened to. Ado, Supercell, Yoasobi, ClariS, Daoko, Vocaloids, Junko Ohashi, ANRI, Kikuchi Momoko. They all sounded fine to me. Not super emphasized or sparky like on something like the F1 Pro, Nova, or Supermix4. But still good. The T10 is better for this genre for sure. But the S08 isn’t lacking or deficient to my ears in any way.
@@AudioAmigoReviews Nice artist list, and great reply! I do like my music on the warm side and because I have severe Tinnitus in my left ear the high pitch sounds cause it to worsen. You mentioned the album with Mediterranean Sundance! I had not listened to that for years! What an amazing recording! I had the pleasure of seeing John McLaughlin, Dennis Chambers, and precious Joey De Francesco in S.F. many years ago... It was life changing for me musically.
@@BrianVallotton I wish I could have seen that! I’ll have to settle for the recordings.
They released the recording from the 2nd night of that concert not too long ago. It’s called “Saturday Night in San Francisco” it’s a white album with purple letters. They play different tracks and it’s mastered by the same folks who did the original.
@@AudioAmigoReviews Wow! Thanks for letting me know about Saturday Night. I will be looking that up! Great to interact with you here. The only Social Media I do is with people like you. 🙂
looking forward to the artti t10 episiode
@@brycehayashi It’s coming very soon! I just need to get through this backlog that accumulated and it’s very near the top of the list.
Have my amp on high gain turned all the way up and 40 on the volume dial which is LOUD! Didn't realize how much losing that 2k peak would do. Amazing. I don't think you mod but you may want to keep some 350/400 filters around. Must try to sleep 😭
Awesome! How do you compare it to the Artti T10s?
@@dez7roy3r It’s warmer, bassier, and more relaxed. Similar level of overall detail.
More refined in terms of treble. Overall I’d take the S08 over the T10 every time
Check NiceHCK BlueLuna modular cable (about $40 on sale for a cable with 3 plugs).
Thanks for this comment! Was looking at grabbing a Lyre since the termination was similar, but microphonic cloth is never a good thing!
Hey between this and the magic one, which should i grab for jpop(female vocals
@@dominicbash238 the S08 is a tiny bit more vocal forward. But not by much. If you like punchier bass, grab the S08
I would like a review of the KZ Krila, intriguing budget option.
Alright! I’ll get one ordered. Keep your eye on the community posts to see when it arrives.
To sum up:
Supermix 4 for gaming
Letshuoer S08 for Bass
❤❤❤
I love my artti t10, should i upgrade to this?
If you want a darker, warmer, bassier sound. Then yes. This is a big upgrade if that’s what sound you want.
Can you pair the Letshuoer S08 with the Fiio KA13 ? Is it that power hungry or can the Fiio KA13 drive the S08 into it full potential ? Please lemme know your thoughts
@@icedeathmusic1119 the KA13 will easily push the S08 to it’s full potential. :)

Yes. The S08 is an upgrade across the board compared to the Delci. If you like the Delci you’ll really like this set.
Will blow Delci out of the water!
Thank you for the excellent review! well worth the 24 minutes :) bro, the variety of music you have mentioned here is as interesting as the review itself! i’m going to be exploring your tracks tomorrow.
Can you help me make a decision? my daily driver was EA500. I absolutely loved it. until its right earbud just decided to give up volume. I’m intrigued by S08 but i’m afraid i’ll lose those airy details. Is my fear valid? would you rather recommend T10s to me instead?
@@nickdawiz Dont worry! It’s all music and IEMs so it’s all good. :)
Happy I could help.
While most reviewers seem to look at Hydro as the best IEM from KZ/CCA - period,
Tone Deaf Monk from his response to my inquiry said he think ZS12 Pro X is better than Hydro.
@@faisalfirdausiinn4708 I’ll have to check that out! Thanks for the tip!
I bought a Pula PA02 recently, and I've been listening to it for a while now. I honestly don't get the hype. It's good, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it's as good as everybody says it is.

Hi ☺️
Which iem would you suggest for music production and mixing ? ( Under $100 or even better if under $50 )....
( On a tight budget 🙂 )
@@amalmathewgeorge2059 you’ll want something relatively flat and uncolored. Something kinda like a studio monitor. Your best bet would probably be something like the Truthear Hexa. Lots of people complain they sound “boring” but they’re neutral and balanced and very resolving.

@@AronAddams7 Haha! Thanks! My wife makes all my thumbnails and she’s been having a lot of fun with them. She appreciates the kind words
@@AudioAmigoReviews That's actually super interesting. Sounds to me like it's doing what a multi DD/BA IEM would do. Thanks for the explanation
I think I agree, the strength of this set probably lies in versatility with other genres whilst not sounding off in brighter genres
By the way if you're going to get into BA sets, I listened to Aful Explorer which is similar in price and FR to this s08, but it handled jpop much better imo. I went in thinking it will be too dark like s08 and was very surprised it wasn't, give it a try
@@miscwork-qb7pd I have the explorer and am planning a review on it. Spoilers. I also think it’s really really good hahaha. Thanks for the comments! I appreciate it. :)
@@miscwork-qb7pd I should add. I haven’t done volume matched A/B testing between the Explorer and the S08. But I’m excited to do so.
