Ambrosía has so much potencial 😭😭 but its like a hardcore experience with hateful lv caps If I’m gonna fight really hard mons since minute 1 I want to catch my owns hard mons but I can’t for the cap, just catch low level ones and grind but no too much bc there is a cap too

I wouldn’t consider Pokemon ROWE “completed” in its current state. Many pokemon abilities for example don’t work/activate yet. That’s a game breaking bug imo, and there are many more unaddressed bugs I’ve encountered only playing for an hour. (Using dev recommended settings/emulator)
I tried out Pokemon Rowe, and although it has everything id like, a major nitpick I have is, for some reason, all of the pokemon cries are mixed up. Examples being Zigzagoon sounds like an Aipom, Lunatone sounds like a Boldore. It's really off putting and I dont know if its intended or a bug, but it surprises me when romhacks like Unbound introduce later gen pokemon and they all have their correct cries. At the end of the day its just my own nitpick, but it really kind of a dealbreaker, already existing pokemon having their correct cries is a pretty important immersion factor for me. Is anyone able to shed light on if theres a fix or if its a bug? I see the game has pokemon cries settings but none of them help, and im playing on official hardware too (modded 3DS)

most of the ones that would qualify for such a video/list are the ones with stolen content that are unpopular enough where bringing attention to them would do more harm than good.
there are plenty with terrible writing, insane grinding, bad spiriting, etc. pokemon dark rising is an example of all of these and more. there are also some that are just bad enhancement hacks, in fact, there are probably thousands of hacks that are trying too hard to be radical red and just end up being shit. but in the end these are all made for free by people that like pokemon so you can play them, so it's hard to be really upset about bad fangames or rom hacks, unless the developers did something unethical in the making of them, which does happen sometimes
You completely omit the fact that ROWE is completely full of grammar errors and lines that seem written by a eight-year old, which is very distracting and make it hard to take the game seriously. I know the author doesn't have much of a grasp of English but he should find someone else to fix the text before calling his hack "finished". I hate how reviewers of romhacks/fan content in general seem afraid of giving fair criticism just because "it's free". Time isn't free, and most of us watch videos like this to find a fangame we'll like, rather than being told a flawed game has zero issues.
I am very critical of various ROM-hacks and fan games, especially when they're projects the community and other youtubers hold in incredibly high regard (watch any of my video essays lol) While I didn't notice any of the grammar issues you're talking about, ROWE obviously isn't supposed to be played for it's story. It's Pokemon Emerald and the Sevii islands with an open world gimmick and tons of Pokemon to collect and battle, with a shit ton of quality of life features. Your complains and expectations just sound entitled

All of these rom hacks never change the ugly battle backgrounds or any of the tilesets. Especially the Emerald ones. Always the same ugly pale green grass and battle backgrounds

Yeah I’m on 2.0.3 straight from the ko-fi but under battle style for me it just shows battle speed

That's probably just a bug that'll be fixed soon. Adding that much content to a gba game will always lead to technical difficulties

Since most of these are GBA ROM Hacks, as long as you have a GBA Flash Cart and a way to write data to it, you can play these on an actual DS.
