Depends on fuse box layout which can depend on model, year, spec and region of the world the car is sold in, hence why I already say to test the fuses with a meter.
I absolutely hate cable management for dash cams! Why car manufacturers can't install normal outlet at the top to plug cameras is beyond my understanding
Tried this with a nextbase 322gw. Works great except when the auto stop/start function is used on the car. The camera sees low volt age and cuts off, then back on again. This never happens with the auto stop start function switched off.
Should you identify which is the live feed side of the fuse in the fuse box in order to fit the piggy back the correct way around, otherwise everything will pass through just one fuse and not be split across the two if it's fitted the wrong way around?
Installed on on a 20 reg xe today - pritty straight forward and 99% same as this video thanks
Cheers really helpful. I just fitted mine today 👍👍
Are the fuses not in the wrong slots? Should the 20amp be closest to the blades ?

When looking for constant power, what about the 10 minute shut down time of certain functions, so when they shut down your dashcam will shut down?

2023 F-Type has the fuse board in the same place now, they've moved it from the panel beneath the carpet.

Yes fuses have what is called a hot side, as long as fit it the same way as in the video you will be fine.
Currently trying to get light to power on and off with an add a circuit on my skoda
what second fuse are you using in the piggy back, 20a for main 5a for camera?
Camera normally a 2amp.
Hiya. Really appreciate this demo :-)
Cut the ty-wrap excess missed by normal snips with a stanley knife, or use a flush cutting set of snips. Otherwise - good vid, thank you.
Thank you that was really useful
Having a proper light would have made this better.
