I have your London course and I love how you also explain why certain moves are worse. Most opening courses only explain which moves are right and assume you immediately see why the others are inferior. This helps a lot in understanding and therefore also remembering!
It’s not only a weight issue, I started having back spasms around age 30 from so much sugar in cokes. Every morning at like 4am. Quit drinking soda - went away immediately 100%. Drank again, came back. So I stopped permanently. Also had sleep paralysis sometimes that went away when I stopped. Sugar bad. I still eat some sugar of course but rarely soda and not multiple cans.
I was 187kg a year and a half ago, now I'm 107kg. We make decisions, some good, some not so good. Learning is rarely perfect, if it were; would we develop a scientific mind, I doubt it. Love your show. 😊
@@captjuanco5766 well that wasn't made clear in the video... but Alex's reply above gives more info and is helpful to us lower rated scrubs that are trying to learn the game. Your comment .. unhelpful and a bit dickish.
@@Hassy171717 LMAOOOO if you need everything to be explained to you like don't play Ne5 when it can be taken by a pawn, then that's on you don't be a petulant child! :)
@JuiceTubes well well well what do we have here 2 similar minds of the same limited capacity hand in hand trying to justify OP's claim that the title is a "paradox" LMAO. The fact that you even needed an explanation that "it's okay to play h3 when ne5 isn't available" says enough that I shouldn't take you both seriously LOL. Next time try to also understand what you watch instead of asking to be spoon-fed all the time
Hi Alex, i bought your Caro-Kann course on Chessable and it's absolutely amazing ! 🙏 I am learning so much about my favorite opening. You are a great teacher, i really advise the course 👍 Thank you so much and keep going man, you deserve more and more visibility. By the way (i am french), i would love to see a stream and/or games with Kevin Bordi aka the great Blitzstream 😉
I tried your plan, i got a very good advantage, then i mess up it was equal then i won again because my opponent blundered, it was a long 5 hours game. Thx for the free course buddy
Despite buying your London course I still play that h3 pawn move all the time in an attempt to save the black bishop(my retention skills need some work). Instructive video.
Alex, maybe you could do a ratings climb playing rapid games. More than anything, your slow, calm, and methodical approach before making a move helps me get in the right mindset myself, but then you always get into a time crunch at the end of the game after explaining everything to us.
Could make a video on how to read a chess book, i know the chess notations but idk I feel like I'm doing it wrong, not getting most out of the books. It would be nice if you could show how a chess master reads a chess book.
As someone who is not your mom, diet soda is worse than regular soda and regular soda is pretty bad. And regular soda in the US is worse than regular soda in Romania. : ]

Alex, you started the video saying keep your h pawn at home, and then immediately played the h pawn lol

sorry for the dumb joke lol

I laughed out loud at the soda analogy. The cut at "in the same way" was just beautiful comedic timing! You're definitely the funniest chess streamer.

Alex: "This move h3 ruins your London plans"
also Alex: 23:13 "I think I'll just play h3..."

I enjoy the analysis after the games i find it pretty interesting to watch you explaining some of the engine suggestions and the lines
Excellent. I was one of those doing h3. No more. Very helpful video.
@JuiceTubes yes, two different situations
dude that was an epic family guy level breakout of the soda story all to recommend knight e5 lmaoooo
The amount of times I've done that h3 push creating space for the bishop. Great tips

"he probably got a chess tutorial from brazzers with the bishop on g7" hahahahaha
Thanks! I will try the queen manuever
Right on buddy I cut down on the soda too 😅
Now whenever I get the position where kh5 is coming I will remember not to drink too much soda xD
The blunders of the enemy do also show in the game recap

Sorry, I couldn’t resist pointing it out even tho you’re playing against Kings Indian type setup.
This and Eric rosens London is all you need :)
If you follow both, you’ll get confused. Eric suggests to get bishop out first always.
Alex your videos are fantastic… I am going to try harder to play like cat and stop playing h3 at the wrong moments like a “Bozo” 😹😹😹😹
Super
i gained 100 elo+ from london
why kn on 2nd move . All your more recent videos just move the B to f4.. oh ok never mind. this is london. not jobova
Sugar is Poison
holy shit 2L of crap a day! You are lucky your liver and kidneys survived that
Jefe!!!
Diet soda (and any other ingestible substance) with artificial sweetener is neurotoxic, and so not good for playing chess.
If you put a human brain in soda and leave it like that for a decade, it will rot away. Therefor drinking soda will kill you in 10 years - correct?
second I guess
First i guess
Thanks. Illuminating
