Have you every thought about doing a reverse Caro Kann course for white (Saragossa opening)? I think it would be interesting since virtually nobody encounters c3 as the first move from white. It has over 50% win rate on Lichess when black responds with the most common move e5.
23:45 it’s actually funny when you say “don’t go g5 bozo the knight just goes back.” but it’s actually the top computer move and completely winning! because after the knight goes back you can sacrifice the rook and after that you infiltrate with your c3 knight to d5, threatening to go knightf6 and after that black is basically in zugswang with no counterplay because his knight is pinned to his queen by the rook. if they do nothing you bring your bishop into the attack, and if they do something like push the f pawn it’s too weakening and you can push the g pawn and threaten mate with your queen.
My chess style used to be 1. e4 and continue with a vienna or king's gambit, but after watching all of your highly instructive chess videos on the Jobava London, I instantly fell in love with the opening and now have an extremely high 63% winrate with it! Thank you Alex Banzea.

I love the Jobava, helped me hit 1800 blitz and rapid in Lichess, mostly thanks to the help of your videos Alex. Could you please make a special video for the more unusual responses by Black? (pinning the c3 knight immediately after playing d5 e6, or when they try to play d5 and g6 which doesn't allow us to go for the big center variation of the Pirc)
this shit gets 100x funnier when u play it on 1.5x, "gonna make a passed pawn and free win, ok nevermind (proceeds to march to the other side of the board)
Alex i learn a lot from these fundamental jobava videos. It would be interesting to watch an occasional one where you analyze a high level classical jobava match, your own or someone else's. Even a lost one would be cool
97.6!🤯👏🏻 I feel proud if I’m above 80. Of course I am barely 800 elo but your channel and your CK course helped me break out past 400. “The Lucescu of Chess”!
I'm new to chess, watching this above 1900 elo gameplay makes my head spin😅 still trying to learn it as you said. Kind of improving too. Thanks for the lessons 🫂
I learned a lot from your videos Alex. I learned the Jobava from you, my calculations and fundamentals, and gained a ton of rating points. Instructions were a bit unclear, though, and I somehow ended up playing the catalan instead. Probably just user error or something. I did learn I could push 1.d4 though and that helped a lot.
My biggest struggle is not knowing when to play each opening. I’ll watch these videos and then try to play the Jobava London into the wrong lines and get crushed lmfao
Love this one Alex, your videos get better and better. My old (you can;t teach an old dog new tricks) brain, is slowly learning something.......Slowly :)
Hey Alex! I am watching every single of your videos, especially the Jobava London ones. One question on the first game. Once you went up in material after capturing your opponent’s Queen - wouldn’t it have been easier to just start exchanging pieces and win by having more stuff in the end?
I played a Jobava against the Dutch with a crazy gambit computer line I studied. 1 d4 f5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. Bf4 e6 4. g4 fxg4 5.h3 gxh3 6. Qd3! and white has a great position and can still castle queen sided. I had an easy win after reaching this position and if opponent doesnt take h3 pawn or first takes g4 with knight , white still has a good game coming out of the opening.
Thanks to Alex Banzea everytime I play chess now I always say "ahh now you pause the video and find the winning move" everytime I found winning moves or checkmates! 😂😂😂
in the caro-kann, what i'm supose to do if after white E4 black C6 my oponent push in E5 instead of going for D4... i see that a lot today and i lose every single time no matter what i try :x (and if i try to push D5 in hope to transition to the advence variation) they just en passant the pawn and no matter if i take back with the pawn of the queen i'm just in a completly unknow position who had nothing to do with caro-kann, and i lost cause playing thing you didnt know rarely goes well :x
Hi Alex! Can you explain why at 16:42 in this setup against the Pirc *we play Be3 instead of the usual Bf4?* 🙏 I play almost exclusively this setup against the Pirc and i always play Bf4, and i thought it better supports e5 pushes just in case! And i never undesthood why Be3 is better! 😓
I'd like to learn this, especially against opponents who spam the stonewall defense against everything. I think Sokolov said this is the best formation against the Stonewall.
Wait idk if you respond to comments Alex but here 34:34 didn't you have Ng5 after h6 or any move really you just win the rook? It would've been better with a knight rather than Bc4 because Bishop can threaten checkmate
Just heard on Chessable your new Jobava course won’t be arriving to the platform. Where are you planning on releasing it? I love your Chessable work and understand it’s fiscally better for you to not be on there but I do love their move trainer! ❤❤❤ Hope you are well bro!
I could not hate the opening of this video more, but I also could not love Alex more. Alex recently told me "Why the Jobava London? Because who wants to prepare against the Petrov and the Berlin." You know what, fair enough!
(This is regarding the game 2, where they go Pirc) : I'm sorry if this a stupid question, but what if the opponent doesn't play d6 after we take the center with e4 (I know this is a mistake on their part)? Do we push e5 instantly to threaten their horse?
Hi Alex , Im a really big Fan of you, and I’m playing only London (jobava) and Caro kann. But I’m stuck at 900 and I really have problems to reach 1000. Idk what I’m doing wrong, in the videos I find the right moves , but by myself I just can’t, because I think the 900s do not play along any structure, like they play random moves and I struggle with that. Do you have any tips? Thank you , you’re the best
Can you do a deep dive on the czech pirc please? I am rubbish but kinda like it, and seems like you can switch from the Jobava to the Czech Pirc if the naughty white player does not start with E4
I missed some explanation on the first game, about why, after rook attacks queen on b1, the Knight takes d4 is a problem. I can only see the rook taking the queen then.

Got, it, love it.
I thought you would put Jobava lines in your London course
@@filiperocha1465 I mentioned that I will add Jobava lines only vs the King's Indian (still planning to), but not on the whole Jobava.

Alex Banzea your analogies are better than a penguin in a popsicle factory
😂matching Alex Banzea energy with this one
I don't always London. But when I do, I Jobava.
My chess style used to be 1. e4 and continue with a vienna or king's gambit, but after watching all of your highly instructive chess videos on the Jobava London, I instantly fell in love with the opening and now have an extremely high 63% winrate with it! Thank you Alex Banzea.
Dude why don't you just marry the Jobava London
Romania doesnt even allow gay marriage bro, they wouldn’t get it…
...Jobava London isn't real,it can't hurt you
Banzea:...
I might do the same.
Because I’m already married to it! It’s a monogamous relationship
@@AlexBanzeawitty reply, loved it
"I have to give kudos to my opponent for finding that idea. The problem however is that it is .... eh ... completely lost"
You have made chess fun for me with the jobava caro combo! Thank you!!!
I never regretted turning on all notifications at Alex's channel

I searched snowman in sauna and this come up
Awesome video as always! I learn so much from these! I’m an 1800 so it’s pretty cool to see you easily dismantle a 1950 lol
big respect to the guy that resigned when you had 3 seconds, pretty much everyone on the website would try to flag in that position for a draw 😂
This video is epic, i hope
I switched my repertoire to Jobava because of Banzea, the best! 100% support the upcoming course
Alex ! You are THE MAN ! Love your videos ! Brilliant, funny and instructive!
Another outstanding video. I like how you explain while playing.

Good content, keep-em coming.
Nice I love to see a video on the jobaba
Thank you for the Friday content
Lord Banzea has returned!!!
Great lesson , loving this open ☕☕
Amazing that I can learn from you master Banzea. Thank you very much for this I'm leaving a sub and like
Amazing video Alex, memes always on point 😂😂 as a Spanish guy I loved the spanish “como se juega contra la Pirc”

Got to 1500 while not playing that much thanks to your OP strats and puzzles
"vulnerable as a snowman in a sauna"--good one.
I keep waiting for my notification email. July is almost over, FYI. Joking, take your time to put out the best course possible.

Ty mate, i watch u since January 2024, i was stuck at 1100 elo and only with Jobava London & and caro kann, im now at 1600 🎉
There's like 3 openings in this only opening. Tha boy is educating us by force!

The penguin is seeking psychiatric treatment and will be given a ptsd dog. Jobava London has this effect on many.

man you helped me reach 1400 by just 2 openings
I usually play the London system, but after watching your videos, I now play yhe Jobava London 😅
You missed a nice Queen sack in the first game - 33. Qb2 Nd7 then 34. Rg8+ Kh6 (forced) 35. Qxf6, Nf6 36. Rxg6#
When is your chessible course coming? Release the Jobava!
Just bought the course. Thanks, Alex. Let's see if even a cactus can learn it.
Thank you sir, I literally play Jobava London because of you. Best chess teacher on TH-cam.

Fabulous as usual. @13:57 (I dont see my mate) am i missing something? Rg8+ Kh6 (only move) Rg6+ Rg6 (only move) then Qh8 mate?!

Hey Alex around 34:37 the rook looks trapped to me on nf7?
Love your content! Have you thought about doing a Catalan course once you finish the jabova course?
nah, it's insanely complex despite the 'easy' look.

Jobava course in next copule of months? 😮
After ... Bf5 f3, doesn't ... h5 stop the pawnstorm?
i like your funny commentary.
Can you do some more videos on the Queen’s gambit opening
d4 , c4
There’s only one video on your channel for the same. Some videos will be appreciated
does this work against king's indian ?
Why did black queen x rookc5 instead of nxd4?
Against grand masters you play e4 i think ?
