It turned out really nice. I like that you didn’t cover the entire top with the shell veneer. You never cease to give us a professional looking project with good instructions on how to do it ourselves. As always, looking forward to next week’s video .

Oh my Louise, so beautiful on the black Aqua Cast. You are right, these veneers are very expensive and sell on other shops for $30-$45. I am actually selling them less than what I paid for them. So although it seems pricey, it’s a phenomenal deal. You sure do use your creative mind and create such beauty with the veneers. Thanks for sharing. I absolutely love this tray. 🤗🤗🤗😉😉😉😘😘😘

lol! I’m laughing because I keep having jaw-dropping moments and you are only halfway through. The seashell veneer and then the Bendy ruler! I like adding plaster of Paris with my resin. In addition to the end product, I save a ton of money. Why do you like eco-cast better than plaster of Paris?
I went to buy some, but abandoned my cart because shipping to the US was nearly 40 pounds. Egads!

Thank you, gosh I’ve had that for years, I’m afraid I can’t remember but I bet they have them on Amazon.
Very new to the process of this sort of creation: I play with melt and pour soap; beeswax; and just starting out with Resincrete; and yesterday bought my first supply of uv resin. Question about the veneer: how flexible is it? Can it be applied to a curved surface, like a vase or bowl?
Good question. It is flexible but I think it would work better on larger curves as bending it around a tight curve could cause the tiny flakes to break away.
@@LouiseSingletonCreations Many thanks! I had the feeling that was the case. I could probably use this mosaic technique, then. At the moment, I'm after a nice approximation of Wedgwood Jasperware, applying small relief casts to larger surfaces. Flat surfaces are simple, but using a plaster-like substance on curve is a challenge. I've been binding the smaller mold to the curved surface to cure against the curve. Results are uneven, but I think I can get it working with practice. I've also just supplied myself with some white air dry clay, and will see how that can work.

5:35 look at how stained your mold is after using the aqua cast black. Definitely not good for your molds
A wash with warm soapy water and a jay cloth seems to get rid of the stains from my silicone mixing jugs and moulds🙂
You took the words right out of my mouth. @offairhead is showed the washing of my moulds in my previous Aqua Cast Black video and they clean up easily.

Louise I don’t often comment but this time I must, it’s absolutely stunning. I have to admit whilst I love every single video you make whether it’s resin or aqua cast, I’ve never been a fan of aqua cast - until now! You’ve convinced me I need it in my life. Thank you for your amazing tutorials.
