@@fallenhero4550, I was singing along, too. My son shot me a look when he noticed we were singing different lyrics. I explained they cut it out, but I think he's thinking the old lady is losing it.
Aerosmith rabbit hole: "Train Kept A Rollin' " (a cover), "Movin' Out", "Lord Of The Thighs", "S.O.S. (Too Bad)", "No More No More", "Walk This Way" (the original), "Back In The Saddle", "Last Child", "Rats In The Cellar", "Combination", "Seasons Of Wither". That's a start.
I hate these short "radio" versions. So much more to this song! Regardless, great selection and reaction. Do yourselves a favor and listen to the album cut. You're welcome!
I've seen them 5 times starting in the 70s this band Is great they have so much good much ,you need to check them out a little more .the have been around for many years they came out in the very early 70s .
I’m just happy I’ve seen them live a couple times in their prime and that Aerosmith is going out on their own terms. It sux but it’s worse when people start using more background vocals than normal and the true music gets lost. I have so much respect for them. I’m lucky to be from Boston and even got to see them when they did a pop up concert on the porch of their old house in Allston,Ma I took 2 trains to get there cuz so many streets were shut down then walked close to 3 miles. It was literally the chance of a lifetime. Aerosmith Forever
WOW, Stevie Tyler was so young here and so was I, Aerosmith was my first love. In high school, I had all the fluorescent signs in my room with the black light, Aerosmith was the first band on my wall. "You See Me Crying" is one of my favorite Aerosmith songs.
SPEAKING FOR COREY: "Oh My Gawd! I LOVED this! I know I've heard bits and pieces of this somewhere. But I've never heard the entire thing! I know I've heard that chorus in some movie. Yo, this was awesome for real! Now I've finally heard the whole song!
I grew up on Aerosmith of the 90s. You probably heard those songs before. Then one day, my pops was listening to a greatest rock songs countdown on the radio, and I heard this song. He told me who it was, and I didn’t believe him until he started screeching at the end. Then I picked up a couple of their earlier albums from the 70s and 80s, and I loved it. A different era for them, they really rocked back then. Songs like Same Old Song and Dance, Back in the Saddle, Mama Kin. Great stuff!
This song was the first one I ever heard by Aerosmith. Prior to that, I'd never heard of them. It blew my mind. What a vocalist. Stephen Tyler really made an impression on teenage me.
Yes, although it was edited down, I still enjoyed it. Many people react to their song, "Walk This Way" w/Run DMZ, but I hope you'll react to their orig version. S.T. is a good composer AND pianist.
Aerosmith is a phenomenal band! With Steven Tyler as the front man, you can't miss! And Joe Perry on guitar!!! They have a TON on music! This was such an amazing album .. Toys In The Attic! All bangers! Soooo many great songs to go down the rabbit hole! ❤❤❤❤❤❤. I'd recommend another heavy lyric song by them... Janie's Got A Gun.
This clip was heavily edited 😫 Aerosmith is basically recognized by the duo of Steven Tyler (lead vocals) and Joe Perry (guitar)... they were dubbed the 'Toxic Twins' because of their excessive drug abuse in the 70's and frequent fights. However, the "less interesting three" (or "L.I.3") of Aerosmith were just as crucial for the band - Brad Whitford (guitar), Tom Hamilton (bass) and Joey Kramer (drums) ... helped define their sound. The public misconception is that Joe Perry is Aerosmith's lead guitarist and Brad Whitford is the rhythm guitarist... That was never the case. Joe Perry was the band's key composer/ songwriter but he and Brad Whitford are a twin lead guitar duo... Perry plays a raw, wild guitar, while Whitford is the technical master and brings cohesion to the guitar delivery.
Postmodern Jukebox covered this song with a female singer (Morgan James) and with a jazzy reinterpretation of it. And it works surprisingly well in that genre. Also the vocalist is out of this world. She nails it.
I’ve seen Aerosmith a few times. My husband has seen them all over many, many times. We saw them their first show back after 9/11 in Atlanta and it was epic! We are still holding our tickets for their last tour in October, which sadly, we can never use. Another legend removed from the field. Thank God we will always have the music. 🤟🏼
Please check out other 70's Aerosmith - Mama Kin - Chip Away at the Stone - Toys in the Attic - Sweet Emotions - Back in the Saddle - Kings and Queens - Last Child
Glad you did this right after the announcement of their immediate retirement due to Steven having irreparable throat damage to his vocal chords. (Sadly during their farewell tour). So nice to enjoy them one more time.
Aerosmith was my first love and the first album that I ever purchased was "Toys in the Attic", one of my favorite songs is "You See Me Crying." I've seen them so many times in concert at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, I can't count the times.
Tyler’s father was a classical pianist, and young Tyler used to hang out underneath the grand piano when his father played. The intro guitar part is inspired by that.
If you go down the rabbit hole, I recommend you look mostly at the older stuff. It's really when they were at their best, though I suppose it would also be interesting to see how they changed over the years. They are one of the few bands that had hits all the way from the 70s until, I think, the early 2000s. Other bands kept going, but only their real fans usually were aware of their later music. Somehow Aerosmith managed to stay relevant.
This is so very awesome! Aerosmith are beasts. Love your reactions! You need to check out I don't Wanna Miss a Thing that they did. It is in the movie Armageddon.
Great great song! I’ve always thought that Steven Tyler and Carly Simon have similar ability to sing loudly without any help from a microphone…long power and talent have served them well in their careers…🎤🔥
I loved early Aerosmith. Not a fan of their 80s and 90s stuff but i dig their old stuff. React to Sweet Emotions by Aerosmith if you get.the chance. Incredible 70s song.
Steven Tyler & Aerosmith are absolutely amazing. And Stevens voice he don't get enough credit for being such a vocalist. They have so many great songs. Love in an elevator, ragdoll, Sweet emotions, jaded, Don't want to Miss a thing. Etc Also Another band you should listen to is Poison with songs like, something to Believe in, every rose, your mama don't dance, nothing but a good time unskinny bop etc lead singer Bret Michaels has a great voice too.
Definitely a fave of mine by Aerosmith. My favorite is "Kings And Queens" followed by "The Other Side" and "Janie's Got A Gun". Listen to "Stargazer" by the group Rainbow. Another rabbit hole to enter.
Great frontmen, Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Robert Plant, Roger Daltry (The Who), Freddie Mercury (Queen) and I always felt Peter Wolf from The J. Geils Band was very underrated. I’m sure I’m missing some other greats. Dig deep into this Rabbit Hole, especially their first three or four albums. Every song killed it!
❤❤❤ Try "Sweet Emotion", "Rag Doll", "Livin' On The Edge", "Walk This Way", "Jaded", "Janie's Got A Gun", "Crazy", "Cryin' " and "Don't Want To Miss A Thing".
This seems to be a video synched over the popular recording release. They were great but I think they lived pretty hard on the road and nobody can keep on at that level forever.
Gotta stop listening to edited versions of classic rock songs. Listen to an official lyric version or something, the slow build of this song is destroyed and it's missing the best lyrical verse.
You just scratching the surface with Aerosmith so far. They have a pretty deep catalog and you can get their current flavor in just about any decade from 70's on. The Pump album in the late 80's is a good one, in the MTV days. Check out "What it takes" from that album. Maybe try Pink from the 90s. Jaded from the early 2000s. It's all aerosmith, but the flavors are distinct.
its criminal this was cut..........
Wow they cut a whole lot out on this! Definitely listen to the audio
I wondered that aswell, singing along and then all of a sudden you're near the end like wtf?
@@fallenhero4550, I was singing along, too. My son shot me a look when he noticed we were singing different lyrics. I explained they cut it out, but I think he's thinking the old lady is losing it.
Tyler was only about 17 when he wrote those lyrics.
Wrote them in high school
FOURTEEN, 1 -4 !!!
Steven Tyler finished the lyrics to "Dream On" at 14!!
Look it up. He's AMAZING!
His girlfriend was 14 when he was 27
@@Chiari_Queen_This girlfriend was 14 when he was 27 and he made her have an abortion
Holy smokes I have never heard that song so cut down .. too bad . Far superior in its full glory
they cut out the 2nd verse at 2:30... wtf was that?!?!
Dudes, he is known to us rock lovers!! He is definitely one of the iconic front men ever!
Somebody that young seeing that depth of life.
Genius...what I call "old soul".
His girlfriend was also quite young, 14 when he was 27! 😂
That is the radio edited version. It cuts out some necessary lyrics/parts. The full version is about 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
One of the very best American rock bands, ever!

I went to Aerosmith concert in 1975 great times
i remember seeing you there
I've seen them 5 times starting in the 70s this band Is great they have so much good much ,you need to check them out a little more .the have been around for many years they came out in the very early 70s .
So true about Steven Tyler! Is is one of the best ever. And he was 17 when he wrote this song. Let's give him praise or credit where credits are due.
I been to many of the concerts and the always sound fantastic and amaze
Sadly, Steven Tyler's voice has given out and they've had to cancel their current tour - and have announced their retirement.
The end of an era for sure 😢
I just found that out and was sooo bummed for him and that I never got to see them live 😢

Train Kept A Rollin is a must do!❤

No auto tuning, raw talent.

Ha, even if he was there, he still wouldn't have heard the entire thing. And yes, that's a decent impression.
@@sebastianblack6506 Yeah, he missed some key verses because he was busy telling everyone he's heard some of it before. ;)~
This is the edited version of the song for television. You should react to the full studio version.
I'm old enough to remember buying this album on 8-track back when it came out.

You mean Stephen Tyler. Steve Perry is from Journey.
My fav..Aerosmith* song.❤ For always.🙂
Condensed version of a fantabulous song. But still good
Being from New england . This was my first concert when I was 14. I will always have their tunes on my cookout playlist

He was on stage with Em on Sing Sing at Em's induction to the R & R Hall of Fame. I grew up listening to Aerosmith........one of my top fav bands.

Fenon 202 knows his rock...yes all those great groups of the 70's was what I grew up with...
I seen them in concert in Augusta ga. Years ago
Tyler definitely considered possibly best front man of all time by many

This isn't a good version of the song. They're leaving a lot out. Upload the audio version
They cut the introduction and guitar solo in the beginning
In the mid 70s Steven Tyler and the whole band were the biggest band around selling out stadiums in minutes
Debut album 1973. Possibly the very first power ballad.
That was the Espresso Version😳
check out the live version with full orchestra from the 80’s sometime
Classic Aerosmith is a very different animal. They had their hard rockers, but did a lot of nice melodic riffs. Check out Toys In The Attic.
Great choice check out train keep a rolling by this. group a banger
Run DMC did a video with Aerosmith. Walk This Way.
Where is Corey is he alright. Iconic song what a voice another great band
talk about an awesome classic. Rock on THIS IS IT
You should checkout the live performace at the MTV musoc Awards show with a full orchestra

Aerosmith is an awesome group with a lot of great songs... yet only 1 song hit no. 1
This version left out a full verse.
This isn’t the entire song, studio version is a thousand times better
I sang to it. The dog wasn't too happy...😂
Try their song Janie's Got A Gun for a tremendous song with a sobering message if you haven't done it yet.
Please hit on Bad Company. They have a ton of hits & Paul Rodgers had one of the best voices in rock.
You need to do this song reaction at Howard Sterns birthday party.
Gotta stop listening to edited versions of classic rock songs. Listen to an official lyric version or something, the slow build of this song is destroyed and it's missing the best lyrical verse.
You should cover Steven Tyler and Joe Perry with children's choir singing this song tribute to Boston bombing victims...beautiful

They do a great version of the Shangri La's 'Walking in the Sand'
Chopped up. 😢
Stick with the 70s Aerosmith. ❤
Check out “sweet emotion”.
