Just found this guy at a flea market at a convention with the figure only for $40, and so far I've managed to track down the display stand, axe, and ion blaster online.

*Puts on Nerd Glasses* Actuallllllly, the original had a light grey gun. Many complained about it, and the second batch was reissued with a black one. I ended up painting mine Gun Metal Black, having no idea I was killing the extra resale value XD

man i wish i could get this guy, used to have an MP-10 but lost it during a move...was my one big transformer purchase and honestly i like this guy much better for some reason, he just seems more old fashioned and beefy, wish i had the funds lol
@@benhavasy4538 No. Not really. This is *THE* awesome 12" masterpiece that started it all. In hand it's amazing. Yes they've made some aesthetic improvements here and there over the years, but they've also went backwards in a few ways as well. MP01 is more impressive in *many* ways to even mp10 and 44, let alone bland little Earth Rise. I own all of the above, and ER isn't even in the same ballpark.
@@LastBastian in what ways is mp 10 a step down and the earthrise is almost even and it's on a budget. also, the truck mode on this thing is trash. it doesn't align. half of the front juts out and it doesnt look clean. theres a reason nobody talks about this thing

But compared to 10, off the top of my head, it's: -Bigger -more die cast -moving mouth (which is awesome imo) -Light up chest -working pistons -individually articulated fingers -working shocks -cool foot activated leg vents -flip up arm communicators -better shelf presence in bot mode My 01 cost $30 to $40 *new.* Roughly the same as I payed for my Earthrise. The ER is tiny, lacks paint, lacks chrome, lacks metal, doesn't even have the cab lights painted, the legs are half mis-colored, there's nasty kibbly bitts all over the back. The back looks terrible, and you can see the kibble from the front. Big goofy pegs and holes and pins in weird places. Odd proportions, crotch is too high. In truck mode, there's weird lines and molded details that are decidedly un-truck-like. Mine has the trailer, so that's a plus, but it's oddly proportioned, lacking *any* paint inside, and *doesn't even come with a Roller.* (Which is downright sacriligious, lol!) Sitting next to each other on the shelf, ER looks like a happy meal toy next to 01. But again, none of these are perfect. Not even MP44, and that litteraly cost ten times my 01. 01 is still a great figure. Obviously people still talk about it, we're doing it right now. But it's nearing 20 years old at this point, and it's rare, it's harder to get. Kids new to the game don't have it, and don't know much about it, they see pics of it not fully transformed properly, or posed well at all. However, it poses up really nicely, it has great feel, great presence, is fun as hell and still has some of the best details and gimmicks. It's an objectively impressive figure regardless if you prefer the look of newer ones.

That blue gun is probably a concept color of the gun edit: superglue the axe but unfortunately it gets rid of the swivel
