This song is widely considered the greatest and most popular rock song ever.. for good reason. There is a reason they appear to do this effortlessly... they truly are rock gods.
GREAT reaction to an all-time classic performance! It's awesome to see this music still resonates with another generation...50 years after it was produced!
It's wonderful to watch a young person's face light up with great music by my favorite band. I'm so happy that Robert Plant could bring you Joy with his awesome vocals

It's fun to watch a woman seeing Robert Plant, especially for the first time. I don't think that I've even seen a video where a woman isn't basically in Love with Robert within about 15 seconds & gives that little smile. We know what you're thinking!!
Jimmy had the double neck guitar made just so he could play Stairway To Heaven live. The song includes sections played on a 12-string guitar and a 6-string guitar so the double neck has a 12-string neck on top and 6-string neck on the bottom.
I've seen LZ 3 times 73 , 75 and 77 in Detroit. Each time they played this Jimmy Page improvised his solo. He does that with a lot of his solos. That's why he is the G.O.A.T

Thanks for the reaction. When you said that you wish you were friends with Robert Plant, (the lead vocalist), so he could sing to you when you were sad was honestly the cutest thing I’ve ever heard on a reaction ever. Anyways, if you were impressed with Robert’s voice on that video, you need to hear his earlier stuff. This show was from 1973, and Robert’s voice was already shot by that time. You need to hear his voice on the recordings from 1969 through 1972. The double necked guitar that Jimmy Page is playing is used on songs where he needs to play a 12 string guitar and a regular 6 string guitar on the same song, so he doesn’t have to switch guitars in the middle of the song. Other songs you need to listen and react to are dazed and confused, whole lotta love, immigrant song, since I’ve been loving you, black dog, no quarter, the rain song, Kashmir, in my time of dying, and Achilles last stand. All great songs.

Heartfelt reaction. When Led Zep reunited in 2007 for 1 show 20,000,000 (Yes Million) people tried to get tickets. After an amazing performance of them in their 60's they were offered 1,000,000,000 (Yes Billion) dollars for a World Tour. They turned it down. The band, and each member are GOATS!!!!!
November 12, 2014 by Amy Lamare The much-rumored reunion of Led Zeppelin has hit another stumbling block: Robert Plant. According to a report from the UK's Daily Mirror, the legendary lead singer just turned down an $800 million offer to put together a Led Zeppelin reunion. And let's face it, without Plant, there is no Zeppelin. According to sources, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and drummer Jason Bonham, son of the band's late drummer, John, were all in. Yeah the last time I heard robert plant sing I felt sorry for him he had the desire but not the ability and I am heavily on Auto-Tune just didn't sound the same

I hit like on this before I even watched it, because I just know it’s going to be great! Led Zep and Queen, my favourite bands. I’m going to enjoy the journey. Kashmir and Thank You are my personal favourites.
the "double guitar" is a 12-string guitar on the top neck and a regular 6-string guitar on the lower neck. You can see him switch between the two throughout the song

Two other songs by Zeppelin I would recommend. You’ve already zero’d in on what great talents Robert Plant and Jimmy Page are but John Paul Jones (the bassist) and John Bohnam (The Drummer) are every bit their equals. I’d suggest listening to “Rock n Roll” which highlights Bohnams incredible talent as a drummer and “Dazed and Confused” in which Jones delivers one of the coolest baselines ever. Let’s also give some love to their lyrics. Seriously good writing. It’s not just the usual story of love or teen angst.
You may want look at the Kenney Center Honours Led Zeppelin (the entire tribute and performances). N.B.: The Obamas seemed to have enjoyed every moment. And performance by Lenny Kravitz.
I never believed reactors when they say they never heard this. But you're a young one. So I'm interested to watch this. Amazing song. The first lick any of us learned on guitar LOL. So you can't play this in the guitar store for sure haha
Hey Niah ! A new subscriber from Southern California although I listened to your family channel before. I like what you said " that you wish Robert Plant was your friend and that you could call him when you were sad. I would imagine he would be all that you imagined him to be with comforting wisdom and a caring soul ⭐❤️⭐ Was a great reaction to watch ⭐
‘Look at his thing”. Your so funny Niah. When I was a young man I always thought that was what made Robert Plant so cool and Zeppelin so cool. They were 70’s to core and they were literally a band like no other.
Niah, this was a truly beautiful reaction. You wear your heart on your sleeve, and you obviously "felt" this song. Some interesting details about "Stairway To Heaven": Robert Plant apparently jotted down the majority of the lyrics in one sitting, while the band worked out playing the song in the studio. Radio DJs commented that the song was requested principally by housewives during the day, and by teenagers at night. It was also often played at funerals for teenagers. About Robert Plant--he was the self-described "Golden God", the rock frontman with incredible vocals and an undeniable stage presence, who made all the women crazy, just by standing there. Like the rest of the band, he was a student of American Blues music. They all loved the Blues, but they incorporated so many other styles into their sound. LZ were the four right people, at the right time. Thanks again, for sharing such great reactions, Niah.
Great reaction. I have seen dozens of reactions to this song but yours sits at the top! Enjoy your appreciation for these four very professional musicians. The band is one of the greatest of all time.
Robert Plant was 25 in 1973 when this was recorded. If you enjoyed this Zeppelin cover of a Blues Classic I would suggest listening to their cover of the Blues classic “When The Levee Breaks” by Kansas City Joe and Memphis Minnie published in 1929. And Yes Jimmy Page is one of the all time great guitarist ever. Damn few are as good and none better. He’s right up their with BB King and Eric Clapton.
When watching this I`m reminded how many legendary guitarists there were between 1970 and 1990 and they are more or less alone up there even in 2020. What really happened? Why didn`t the 90s keep feeding us with awesome guitarists? Some few showed up, like Tom Morello, Matt Bellamy (Muse) and John Frusciante (RHCP) even though John debuted in 1989 on Mothers Milk he still hadn`t found his unique and simple style that makes him a legend. But something happened and people stopped learning how to create their own sound on the guitars in the 90s. It was all about retro from there on and it has`nt stopped. In 2000, when the alternative rock scene was dead and people had grown tired of depressive and difficult rock, pop and electronic dance music exploded. Not so weird really as the millennials wanted to dance and have fun, not sit around moping and being emo like Gen X was LOL. I guess there were some years between 99-09 it was natural for guitarists having a hard time, but now 20 years later, why aren`t there any new ones coming? WE ARE WAIITIIING.

More songs by The Mighty, Mighty Zep to recommend you want? ANY AND ALL! But "Good Times, Bad Times" and "Kashmir" are probably my other two favorites.
If you like honky tonk music, Led Zeppelin does a song called “hot dog.” It’s a light hearted song. It showcases the glue that held the band together, John Paul Jones, the keyboardist, pianist, bassist. It’s a shame i had to give my tickets away to the last concert tour of Led Zeppelin before the the drummer John Bonham died. Throughout the years, i have found all their music worth listening too, thoroughly.
Fun fact, guitar stores will stop you from playing this song. There's even you tube video on the subject. If you'd like a power song from them "when the levy breaks" An acoustic one would be "battle of evermore" A love one "thank you"
Hi. I really like you and your comments and I'm glad you are into the legends that are Led Zeppelin :) You were heading for a 9/10 or even 10/10 but then you broke "The Golden Rule" of Rock Music especially if we are talking about guitarists like Jimmy Page here and that NO-ONE EVER interrupts a guitar solo because it builds and gains momentum and you lose the feel and continuity and flow if you do that.....and you did it twice initially and, coincidentally, the 3rd time was right at the end of it so, I know you have to pause for Copyright but not during guitar solos in Rock..haha......Good Luck....you will do well...............:)
I love your comments on how the lead singer is the coolest person alive when he's on the srage. I always thought so too. I was 19 and a Sophomore in college when this song came out. I was more into folk & singer songwriter rock...James Taylor, Carly Simon, Simon & Garfunkel, but not big loud electric rock bands. Not until this song and this band came along.
Multi instruntalist John Paul Jones, not mentioned enough. Keyboards Here. Jimmy Page guitar, already a star, Yardbirds, studio musician.... Asked Friend to join as a singer. He was booked. Recommended 17 year old Robert Plant!( Best Hard rock singer ever)! Jon Bonham equally Young, drum god! What a band!!
Jimmy is a self-taught guitarist. When Jimmy was a very young man, his family moved from their house to another house. When they arrived, a guitar was found in the new house that was left behind by the previous owner. Eventually, Jimmy learned to play, and re-wrote the history of rock music.
Check out since I've been loving you by zep ... It's from the same concert ... Then you will see Robert singing at his best ... If your into Jimmy's guitar work check out dazed and confused ... Same concert ... Your welcome !!!

Fun fact, guitar stores will stop you from playing this song. There's even you tube video on the subject.
If you'd like a power song from them "when the levy breaks"
An acoustic one would be "battle of evermore"
A love one "thank you"
The key to understanding this song is the last stanza. Everything is just summed up in a nutshell.
Saw them 4 times. Best concert EVA
Best rock band ever love you reaction baby girl
Going to California is my favorite I think you would like it
You should react to Heart honoring Led Zeppelin at Kennedy Center Awards. It will give you chills!
You are adorable sweetheart! And spot on...enjoying your reactions. Rock on. :)
Love your reactions! that is why I subscribed! A few excellent Led Z songs : Ramble On, Whole Lotta Love, When the Levee Breaks & Going to California
real music.
I absolutely love this! I’m so happy you did the live version too.
Your welcome !!!
yea, tambourine = participation LOL. He also plays mean harmonica. Try "When the Levee Breaks". it is awesome.
Robert Plant is very cool!
