French Apple cake - Delicious, easy and super moist apple cake

- If you are looking for an easy fall recipe ,this is perfect for you! This delicious french apple cake is super easy to make with ingredients you will always have on hand.Also it doesn’t call for any special techniques.All you need is a whisk and a mixing bowl.
Who doesn’t love sweet apples nestled in a buttery and super moist cake.So go ahead and try it . Make use of apples you got while gone for apple picking! Enjoy
Ingredients:
apples-2
all purpose flour-1 cup(120 gram)
sugar-1/2 cup(100 gram)
oil-1/3 cup (60g oil)
pinch of salt
eggs-2
milk-1/2 cup (100 ml)
Baking Powder-3 tsp (12 gram)
for the frosting
butter-4 tbsp(80gram)
eggs-1
sugar-1/2 cup(100 gram)
lemon zest-1 lemon
Dice apples into 3/4 inch cubes. you could use any baking variety
mix all dry ingredients together. then add oil,eggs and milk and combine well. make it lump free.pour it into a greased pan.place diced apples on top and bake at 340 F for 30 minutes or till its cooked in the centre.
In the meantime make the frosting by mixing sugar and eggs . When its well combined add melted butter then add lemon zest
remove cake from pan and pour the frosting on top and bake for another 12 minutes.
allow to cool for 10 minutes, place a cooling rack on top and flip over . place a serving dish on top and flip back #frenchapplecake #easycake #applerecipe

I made this French apple cake so many time. Everyone loves it. They love it so much that they keep asking for more. I baked 3 cakes at once to give away as gifts. I put 4 apple and a little less sugar and a little less butter for frosting. Soooo delicious. Thank you for sharing your recipe. I love this recipe because of little flour. I cut the sugar because apple already sweet enough. Thank you again for such an easy quick recipe. I haven’t met anyone that doesn’t like the cake
I made this cake last week and it turned out delicious. Today I didn’t have apples, so I substituted Blueberries. Took it out of the oven, cooled it, and just ate a piece. Delicious!!! Will try peaches another time. Thank you for this easy recipe 🥰

This turned out beautifully! I substituted 1 cup plain Greek yogurt for the milk and split the difference between the amount of baking powder shown on video and listed ingredients. Also, went by feel on cooking times, found that I had to bake for about 45 min after adding the topping (convection mode may have been quicker). Delicious😊🙌

I made this for the first time for a community event on Saturday. Everyone loved it. Thanks so much for a great recipe. I double the ingredients and made it in a 13 x 9 glass pan. Cooking time was about 50 minutes for the first bake, and about 20 for the second baking. I wish I could tell you how it tasted the second day, but I can't! It was all gobbled up! I used my instant read thermometer to test the cake as it was hard to tell if the cake was done with the apples on top. So I did the first bake until it was about 165*, and then the second bake to 195 - 200*. The edges were more cooked than the center, of course! So delicious.

I tried this recipe and it was so yummy 😋! I'm a beginner and I'd found this recipe really simple and easy to make. The baking time for my oven was around 40mins. I didn't have lemon zest so I had to leave it out. I sprinkled a tiny amount of cinnamon to my apples and topped the glaze with some chopped up almonds. It smelled really good and tasted really delicious!

This is actually a damn good recipe; my lemons were a bit past their use by date so I skipped the zest and used the juice instead and of so course the frosting mix curdled, so whipped it vigorously and used it anyway and the result was still delicious.
There are several great apple cake recipes on TH-cam, this is one of the best.

Looks like a great cake so I am going to have to try it, however, I have to say that I have never seen this type of apple cake in France. What is more usual is a Tarte with thin slices of apple arranged on top. I noticed that someone else has said that it is actually Italian, and that would make more sense to me. Thanks very much for the ingredients by weight. It is a much better way to bake as it is exact and unchanging each time the recipe is followed 👍

@@SerahsCooking Thanks. Could you give me the original French name so that I can do a search? Do you mean real French or Canadian French? The only similar that I can think of is Gâteau aux pommes grand-mère .. but that's really an Italian cake which home cooks in France might make.. however, the method is totally different. :-(. The only cakes being called French Apple are by non-French people, mostly U.S. Really quite intrigued about where this has originated from.

I will try this but will squeeze a little lemon juice on the cubed apples to keep them from turning brown while they are set aside and I make the rest of the recipe. Looks like a tart.
