I would still be turning out Bob Ross style paintings if I hadn’t subbed to MJSTV, have learned so much, not just the techniques, but colour mixing and using different mediums etc,Top job Michael 👍
Same here! Bob will always hold a special place in my heart and he taught me so much and got me to actually take the plunge and pick up a paint brush. And it's still fun to whip out a pretty nice landscape or seascape in 45 minutes but now I'm off to bigger and better things with MJS!
Another banger! Last two scenes have been fire and remind me more of your old videos which were landscape focused. Thank you from a long time subscriber.
Hi Michael...I'm Fabian from Medellin, Colombia. I always enjoy your videos, I learn a lot from them. I love painting with your technique. I already have a set of your brushes and they are fantastic. Thanks for sharing your lessons. See you soon!
@MichaelJamesSmith I think a large part of the problem is the brushes I use. I dont have the ones that you use. I'm trying to paint a lot so I can sell them to pay off my wife's cancer bills. You are the source of inspiration to me.
This is now my second time to watch one of your videos. I am mesmerized. Your detail is amazing. THIS is how I want to paint. Late 70's Grandma I am, but I still want to do what I can.
Since I discovered your and these videos I’ve become so much better at painting and understanding color and values! I’ve also bought two pro sets of your brushes plus the 6pc ultra fine riggers! Thank you Michael
Dear Michael, Love your "grass-trees" technics, working 2 years already using this technics and it greatly pays off. Thank you So Much for Your Lessons and Examples!!!!
Whenever I have seen your pain and colours mixed I had a lots of confusion to emerge which colour came out and paina according to the places.... Very2 awesome ❤❤
I just noticed the pattern you use for your tree highlights.. Ireland.. upside down Ireland.. reverse ireland .. stick man.. love heart and upside down love heart :D
Good morning Michael. I was wondering do you ever do critiques of peoples work? I know you have a online class but do you ever, or have you ever considered doing a quick critique on a painting if someone emailed you a photo of their work? I think that would be great!
Great analysis, thank you! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Oils on top of acrylic, didn’t know that was acceptable. Does the rule of applying oils on oils to oils on acrylic? As far as drying time? Is it thin on thicker or the other way around?
Uh, uh, your block-in 🌳 is it? looks like a 🐓. Hello Wiley! The tree & texture did a magnificent job of the midground, not only the speckles but of smudges all at once, a method I'll use from now on. Thanks for sharing that. Also, yes, I'll use the flat brush vs fan for midgrass hi-lites, another bonzer idea. Good switch that. Ah, thanks for showing us how you turned Mr🐓 into a treasure🦚. Marvelous way to work a 🌳, darkest to lightest, me own style also, never change it will I. Say, Nordic costume for 🎃-day? Outstanding, polar bear hair, chiseled muscular face, glittery blue eyes with sharp black centers. Don't be ringing me doorbell, just roar and ifn by daylight I see claw marks cascading down the wood, expect me to use me palette knife to remove the iceburg underneath ya! Outta ❤️ of course, 🤠.
Hey you British!!! You are my hero ... seens i have been watching you i have improved my talent you are awesome!!!! Your nick name is michael cannon , or michael minolta , or michael Kodak... ok.mister michael cannon Minolta.... 😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Michael, I see you paint from a printed photo rather than from a digital image displayed on a tablet or screen. I do find it harder to judge colours and values on a display screen - is that why you print out your photos? If so, what printer (and paper) do you use? I tried printing once and the colour/values were not good. Thanks.
Cant get on to your website - im getting an apple warning that its not a safe site p i want to browse with a view to making a decision as to whether to enroll in one of your courses - help!
Your pictures and drawings are very beautiful... Do you have "Turkish" language support in your trainings??? I am waiting for a discount on materials such as brushes and canvas...
Hey Michael, not sure if someone pointed this out already but I'm unable to turn on notifications for your channel. It is because it's marked as "content/Videos for children". Not sure if it's intentional but I haven't received a notification for your new videos in a long time. You may want to check that out.
@ ; Yes, you’re right with just a mobile is very limited what one can do in photography. But imagine one has a good camera with a high resolution zoom and photography. At the top of that a high resolution screen computer and photoshop.
Hi Michael, this is Javier, I live in Turkey and I want to suscribe mjs- tv, but my little problem is that english is regular, but i will try to get it montly. I am suscribed on your youtube chanell. Thank for everything.

It’s perfectly acceptable and has been done for years. Lots of substrate primers are acrylic.

Just checked, it’s set as “not made for kids” so I’m not sure if your problem is at your end or mine🤷
Fica difícil não intendo inglês, mas de quatro ano que acompanho.
There are subtitles

Hello Michael
Enjoy your videos. Very educational.
If you don’t mind me saying, you seem to have lost a lot of weight. Hope you are ok.
Yes I have. Well done for noticing. I’m fitter than ever!

Not true 🤣
@@MichaelJamesSmith I didn't mean to upset you, it just seemed that way to me. You draw very beautiful pictures, I envy you. Best regards.
I don’t like much this kind of composition because any mobile could do that or even much better just with a finger click on the cámara.
Where’s the fun in that?
