I just love that grinding gnnngggggggggh tone in the Agera/One:1...is it due partly to the fact the engine is bolted directly to the tub? Such a great noise anyway...and loving the fact we are now getting good videos of this monstrous creation, and others lower down in the 'egg range.
MagicSkeleton the one:1 has rubber mounted engine, the agera is attached directly (there is a vid on shmee with the agera x onboard, the guy there says that) so there is more noise in the agera, but all of them sound amazing
axlepacroz I know the comment you refer, and as soon as I heard it, I thought something wasn't right. Christian mentions the Regera is the first model with rubber mounts - "which are also active", was the comment I believe. Though he may have meant that as a correction, that the "active" part was the unique feature. It would make more sense if the One:1 had solid mounts though, as this increases torsional stiffness of the Agera's chassis, and I don't see why this would change for the similar (albeit highly updated) One:1 chassis, since they are iterations of the same basic design (a new carbon fibre layup notwithstanding)... But then again....
dsontacchi And no passenger, but extra (indoor) cams. And I wonder whether traction control ON should not be a faster choice for sure a car, surely it should be safer, else it would be badly coded. A well-sorted Regera might do pretty well on the 'ring too. Might make a full lap before batteries run too low. Could it run on E85 to get some extra? :-) Lower weight than the 918, 500bhp more from the ICE, 400bhp more from batteries. Similar or more downforce, but only 2WD which is bound to make acceleration out of corners, until straightened out, a bit more complicated. Also the 918 might have an advantage with 4WD torque vectoring. It's just fast on the limit. But the entry-level Koenigseggg, Agera R, should already snatch the 918's lap record IMO. Can't see why not, unless K built a joke of a performance car. And then there is the way more track-y Agera RS. So many laps to be driven and watched....
He is trying, to get a fast lap you have to make a controlled lap without tyre squeal, also keep in the most powerful part of the rev range, which is usually not towards the top end of the range. If you watch he does not drift or slide the car at all and hits the apex on every corner.
If Robert was able to take the car to the limit the lap time could be reduced in 3 or 4 seconds, no doubt. Sometimes it looks he was saving performance avoiding risks or due to a lack of track knowledge. Impressive!
3N1GM4 LOL says alot about Koenigsegg idiots still thinks 1:1 in ptwr is the key on a track LMFAO.. you can hear the TC is working over times from 125mph and down thats LOL.. On long straights and much acceleration it`ll do ok but never will it touch the hybrids if the same driver drives all cars..
@@stevehash158 funny because you can actually see that everything is turned off, tc and esc/esp. when on track they always turn everything off. the hybrid systems aren't helping on long straight, they just help out of the corner
Apart from the speed (5 seconds faster than a P1 is imressive, even though it is down on power), what is most impressive is how civilized it looks for a car of that caliber. Just look at the driver inputs throughout the lap: absolutely no major drama, despite being a 1340bhp road car...
Beautiful driving. Maximized entry into corners at speed without excessive wheel spin. Talented driver with quick reactions that were not jerky and smooth on shift choices and braking points. Video always makes the audience feel it is slower than it really is. The slower it looks, often the faster it really is. Fast laps are accomplished by smooth braking and acceleration on road courses like Spa, Nurburgring, Silverstone, etc. The amount of speed carried is critical to exit. Too fast of an entry into the corner, the ability to get back onto the throttle is delayed - by seconds. It really is true, slower into the corner means faster on exit and if executed properly onto a long straight away, lap times will dramatically fall. Nice run!
I timed a Mazda 767B [C2] at 2:26.35. That car has around 550hp-600hp, but a lot less weight and a lot more tire and aero. For reference, the Mazda was a full 60km/h faster through Eau Rouge and 50km/h faster through Blanchimont. 2:38 for a road legal car is pretty nuts and the Koenigsegg definitely isn't lacking for power.
The radical did this track on racing slick tires and on an older configuration of spa, so it's pretty much doesn't count. Current production car leader is one:1, followed by p1, then 918.
Was this the car that Koenigsegg usually use for track tests? If that is true then this car is detuned to a 1000 bhp and is a lot heavier than the actual One:1 because of anti crash bars on the chassis.
dev sengupta no, its the full enchilada, even though it's just the prototype car. 1360 ps and 1360 kg, although the production version is about 1340 kg and 1360 ps
I think this car is capable of a much better lap. They had some tire spin and oversteer during this lap. With a better driver they could probably chop off a second or even more.
Watch shmee150's video, the driver there can control the car and push it to the limits through the corners way better. Considering this is Koenigsegg's test driver driving in this video here, I think Koenigsegg should really consider again who is setting their lap times.
BlaZe iT Assuming that this guy here has driven Koenigsegg's cars more than every one else, i'm not that sure... An F1 driver will always stay an F1 driver. IF you drive your civic Type R (first example coming in my mind x) for years, learn techniques and everything, you'll likely end up being faster than an F1 driver in that precise car... I think... BUT Adrian Sutil has driven at SPA way, way more often than Koenigsegg's driver... So he might get a little advantage here... Not sure the difference would be that great though
MichaelRTJ Im no expert but to me the thing that makes us feel that this is slow is the fact that he cant use all the power. So in corners it sounds like daily driving because he doesnt have to push the engine to get the speed he needs. So comparing something like thge Civic on the ring when they have to use the max power allot more often its gonna sound like it'll be pushed to the limit more often and harder. Thats my guess/opinion.
VBox doesn't make HD cameras though. Also, at least they were kind enough to share what was available with us. If you don't like it thendontnwatch the videos and unsubscribe.
Unpopular opinion here: The One:1 has a power to weight ration of 1 with half a tank of fuel (from the official website), from Wikipedia the McLaren P1 has a curb weight (full tank) of 1490kg and 916Ps coming from the engines, which means a power to weight ratio of 0.61 hp/kg. With that kind of difference, 5 seconds of Spa is rather disappointing. Yes it is a great achievement to make a Megacar (1 megawatt of power) and even bigger to make it last (cant imagine what the gearbox is going through) but its not as good as it should be
Please do enlighten me. I assume that if he can max the lateral g-force (properly) at around the corners to the limit of the car which is 2g, that make one of the possibly best time of a particular car (but I'm not sure). Here in the straights I understood that he came with high speed, so before the corners he always had to slow down very early, but if he didn't and made sharper cornering, the time would be under 2.30.
F1 2013: mmmm I feel like he's being very cautious, the best lap in this circuit was performed by Raikkonen and is 1:45 minutes. I am not saying a Koenigsegg should make something slightly similar to that, but this is more than 40 seconds slower, in my opinion too slow, i look forward to see another drivers trying this circuit, I think it could be done better.
i know this is supposed to be impressive and all, but all i was amazed at the whole lap was how much slower than a f1 with than half the power car this still is. besides... this isn't all this car can give as much as 2:37 isn't all a mclaren p1 can give either. i just raced this track with a p1 on a couple of different sims and pulled times under 2:28 on my second lap (read: the first flying lap) with stock tuning on both of them, and they weren't even very good laps. not saying it's directly comparable, but i'm sure a real p1 can do better than 9 seconds slower than a cold lap i did in a sim. i hit a higher top speed at the end of the end of the long straight (it was 308 i think, as opposed to 295), and crossed the finish line at the almost the exact same speed (it was 220 kph, i can't tell exactly what it was on this video but it was close to that)
5 seconds faster than the P1 and 7 seconds faster than the 918 Spyder. Unlike Suzuka, Spa have longer straights, longer straights means more down force and space for 1340 horsepower. It got same amount of down force as the P1 at 160 mph but unlike P1, 1342 is the max down force it gets due to suspension tension issue but the down force of One:1 will be higher and higher at higher speed. Also, less tight corners means less lag "countersteer" due to less "power oversteer". In conclusion, Agera One:1 is a better car at both high speed and low speed than P1.
LAUNCH CONTROL 東瀛戰神 I can tell you haven't looked around. One:1 in video is detuned to around 1250hp on E85. This car needs a big track for full power. I still see it as a more of a track car. P1,LaFerrari and 918 are much closer to Agera RS then One:1. Why can I say this because One:1 won't be street legal in US. Only RS and Regera will be allowed on street. If I'm not mistaken One:1 in video is coming to US after testing is done. It will be only show and go. Info has come out of Chris Goodwin hit 2:34 in LT with passenger at Mclaren day. To use all this power One:1 needs slicks like GTR and FXX K. If not power must be restrained to save driver. Let me show how a real P1 would look if not limited on these silly street tires. th-cam.com/video/ADsNZ1tfmjY/w-d-xo.html
Jeffrey Williams The car is NOT* on full E85, by experience, it'll lost 10% of total power, ABS off and isn't a time attack lap. I don't care if it's legal in US or not coz i'm not from the US. Although RS is the closer rival for 918 and P1 but isn't that's why the One:1 able to pull 5 seconds- 7+ seconds away from both cars? tyres? Well I don't know what tyre is P1 running on Spa but i know 918 is running semi slick on Spa. One more point, Spa require down force and speed over low speed pulls. Spa have enough space for power and down force. Power and down force is what P1 and One:1 have. You showed me a P1 GTR lap time, P1 runs slick vs 1's semi slick? You must know a bit too little about tyres
LAUNCH CONTROL 東瀛戰神 I see you taken all too serious as always. There were many at track side when Chris lapped LT. Until I hear differently the time is true. I haven't heard of any of Chris GTR lap times. P1 was lapped on Corsa's from what I gathered. No times on R's have come out. I'm not sure of tire on LT but time suggests R tires. Chris has been at Spa far more many times then One:1 driver. I mean, why are you questioning this time??? Both P1 and 918 were lapped by good drivers but putting them same level with Chris is quite a push.If I'm not mistaken drivers were owners unlike driver in One:1. When a owner of One:1 releases a time then all can be more inline. I highly doubt Christian will allow such to be done.
Out of last corner, with lots of wheel spin, it still accelerates from 60-65 kph to 200 kph in about five or six seconds... Haha.. Would be nice to experience that.
So one of the fastest, most expensive road cars in the world sounds just like a rusting, 125cc, 4 stroke bike my uncle used to ride in the early 80's. If I were a millionaire looking for a new super car, that engine note would be really off putting for me. Not to diss on this car's performance.
Kaisuke971 Rather than resorting to typical internet insults, how about actually making a point about how this video doesn't sound like a 4 stroke engine. Feel free to look at some 4 stroke engine videos for reference, there's plenty of them on TH-cam.
colintraveller Bugatti ? Even the CCX is faster than that. Porsche ? If it does a lap time, it'll crush 6:50 barrier if you ask me... Zonda R fast on road tires :O McLaren ? Haha no time yet, just like Ferrari. I'm sure it can beat the 918 though...
technically that's impossible because anyone that drives the track can easy time themselves ... Aura force as i heard that new ruling ... if actually legit some would view it as certain makers not wanting Koeingsegg to create a unbreakable record [ Tin foil alert lolol ]

Info has come out of Chris Goodwin hit 2:34 in LT with passenger at Mclaren day. To use all this power One:1 needs slicks like GTR and FXX K. If not power must be restrained to save driver. Let me show how a real P1 would look if not limited on these silly street tires.

LAUNCH CONTROL 東瀛戰神 you have video of p1 and 918 time?
You must know a bit too little about tyres
alex renault check it on fastestlaptimes
Meanwhile in F1, drivers could wait 1min after the start of the One to finish the lap earlier
Are you conparing a road car to race cars?
Wow, with road tyres too!
Can they show us the top speed of this car anytime soon?!?!
Tão veloz e performante!
Avançadíssimo 🎉🎉

Fantástico 😍❤
It sounds as if the car is not even trying... just taking a stroll
Glorious 480p!
6 years later🔥🤩one :1
He did 5 seconds better then the last lap
RPM ?
Wow, just murdering the bugs.
You have to get more videos here ...
If this has been said...I apologize. That was bloody fast. There is not enough track to spool the turbos!!!
Out of last corner, with lots of wheel spin, it still accelerates from 60-65 kph to 200 kph in about five or six seconds... Haha.. Would be nice to experience that.
There is so much more in the car...
Only 1.3 g cornering? I'm sure there was more time in there.
Koengsegg 🎉❤
The Nurberg ring just cancelled the ability for companies to to lap tests and they imposed speed limits, so no new lap times until 2016 at least
So one of the fastest, most expensive road cars in the world sounds just like a rusting, 125cc, 4 stroke bike my uncle used to ride in the early 80's. If I were a millionaire looking for a new super car, that engine note would be really off putting for me.
Not to diss on this car's performance.
LewisHamiltonMSPR Best sound in the world check your ears.
LewisHamiltonMSPR You're deaf, please go to a doctor.
yamahaevo There are much better sounding cars than this.
LewisHamiltonMSPR Really ? I don't see many. Well i don't see any.
Kaisuke971 Rather than resorting to typical internet insults, how about actually making a point about how this video doesn't sound like a 4 stroke engine.
Feel free to look at some 4 stroke engine videos for reference, there's plenty of them on TH-cam.
this is sick. He don't even try. I mean it looks like if he can break like A LOT later, and he can go a lot over 300 on the strait
Shagreig Just like at Suzuka
Wow impressive .
amazing
Fantástico!
Gotta love the gore :)
Exciting
Did he really brake 100% into those turns? Sound/looks like he motorbraking instead xD
it sounded like he was just letting the throttle and downshifting
Exactly
1080P ??
Oh boy, I really wanna see this beast destroy The Green Hell!!
Paulo Monteiro can't. speed limits and One:1 got rekt doing so
Fantástico
"Robert had one passenger in the car", so there can be more than one passenger ok
JUSES CHIRST the car only has two seats
1.7 G through Eau Rouge. Wow.
Maravilha 🎉❤
is he driving in automatic lol ?
+NIkolai Wangelov Paddle shifters!
Can you see him using them xD? Because i don't see them move when the car shifts gear.
I'm very biased towards the 918 and porsche in general, but this is WOW... time for nurburgring
Next stop the Ring .. Time to put Mclaren , Porsche , Bugatti in the shade once and for all
colintraveller Bugatti ? Even the CCX is faster than that. Porsche ? If it does a lap time, it'll crush 6:50 barrier if you ask me... Zonda R fast on road tires :O
McLaren ? Haha no time yet, just like Ferrari. I'm sure it can beat the 918 though...
Mclaren have never published there time trial figures for the ring .. even though they claim it's sub 6 mins
I just news today the the 'ring officials have banned setting lap times check CarThrottle
technically that's impossible because anyone that drives the track can easy time themselves ...
Aura force as i heard that new ruling ... if actually legit some would view it as certain makers not wanting Koeingsegg to create a unbreakable record [ Tin foil alert lolol ]
colintraveller There are speed limits that's why you can't
it looks pretty understeer at low speed
Controlled speed
❤❤❤❤
The Stig's belgian cousin!!!
Top, muito fixe
Sunday driver .. Get the better one.
Rule the world!
I know it’s quick but it is so pedestrian when compared to the F1 cars.
