I know this video is old, but I fly regularly at my local iFly, and I’m going on a cruise in a couple of months that has a Ripcord by iFly - so wanted to see what the seafaring version was like. It looks really similar except the tunnel is smaller and the view is better :) Ps. On land, if you’re learning to fly “properly”, you’ll likely wear a full face helmet like the instructors. The goggles and open face helmet are a more raw experience, great for leisure flights, and some guys do prefer to use them - but a lot of learners like me prefer being “sealed” in quiet (ish) G3s where we can breathe 😆
About 15 years ago, I did indoor skydiving in Las Vegas. I don't remember how much it was but I believe I flew a couple of times. There was about 3 or 4 of us participating. There was a weight limit of 250lbs and if you had back problems you were advised not to take part. My friend was going to do it but she had back issues so she opted out. The first time I went in they had me lay on the fan with arms and legs up (sounds "naughty") and then the fan goes on and up you go. That lasted maybe 15 seconds. The second time you "dive" in and that is when the instructor twirls you around and that lasted a little longer. It was so much fun!!!!!! I was so glad that I did it and my friend was so jealous.
iFly is actually a UK company and as I live in the UK i've done it twice before with iFly. They have three locations in the UK but I did it in Milton Keynes and it is about £30 (34 euros) (38 dollars) for one flight. The experience was very similar to yours and I to very much enjoyed it.
@@VeryunOfficialTravelGuides Well i've done some more research and they have lots and lots of locations worldwide, including the United States. In terms of flights they offer lots of different options. For example for two flights £59.99 (€66.70), three flights is £82.99 (€92.28), and four flights is £106.99 (€118.97). These prices are based on the UK iFly, prices may vary in different parts of the world.
I did iFly on Anthem in June, along with my 18 year old son. It was a really weird sensation but I am so glad I did it! It was easier than I thought it would be. My son loved it. There was a kid (about 12) in our group that backed out. You did great!
I would say to be sure that you get to fly, book for a day when you’re in port. If the seas are too rough, they can’t open the attraction. Have a great time! I’m jealous!
Can’t wait to try this! Great video Morgan. 👍🏼👍🏼 Your excitement about iFly is contagious. There’s a place on International Drive here in Orlando that has one of these rides. I haven’t tried it yet but we watched someone doing it through the window one day as we walked back to get the car. I wasn’t timing it, but I believe it was much longer then one minute but you know it wasn’t free 😳
Hello Morgan, I did indoor skydiving in Las Vegas. I enjoyed every minute of it. The price was $99 each if we had a group of 5. We did get a discount for first responders and military personnel so we paid about $89 each. We got to fly multiple times rather than paying the single flyer price of $75 for a short time and flying once. The hand signals were the same. Im so glad you enjoyed it. Its really a fun experience. One check off the bucket list: skydiving on a cruise ship! I look forward to more of your vlogs!
Morgan, you can reserve it before you get on board (along with the North star) using the cruise planner. They do book out quickly but you can do it (have booked in the last few cruises on Ovation of the seas)
As you probably know by now, there are many vertical skydiving locations in Germany. Thanks for sharing your experience - your enthusiasm is contagious! Happy New Year!
We have a few iFLY indoor skydiving in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. I did the one in Dallas but I’m sure they are all the same. I selected the 3 flights package which was around $100 and each "skydive" was about a minute long. I’m going back sometime after the holiday rush is over so I can try the 2 flight plus virtual reality package. They have someone taking photos and videos of you so you can buy them at the end of your sessions. It’s the same training with hand gestures but they have different goggle sizes to accommodate eyeglasses etc. You were spot on about the breathing lol. My first time I completely held my breath almost out of instinct or something or just nervous haha
There is iFly by where I was grocery shopping this morning and I checked. 2 flights per person $59.95US (lasts 1.5-2hrs checkin to checkout), 3 flts $76.95, Best Value 4 flts $95.95, 2 flights + 1 Virtual reality skydive $96.95, 5 flights per person $112.95, Family/Friends 10 flts for 1-5 persons $256.95. If you are a repeat 'flyer' 4 flights per person $52.95, 5 minutes for one person $81.11. I've never done it and have no interest, but would have tried it for the same cost of the cruise.

I would love to do this again!

I would love to do it again! Do they offer an option for longer flights?

Planning to check this off my bucket list soon on the Anthem. Thanks for sharing your review. What’s the best time to book for iFly?

Thank you 🙏🏼
I would do this because I would NEVER skydive for real. NOPE! Looked really fun.
DeeAnne, this was AMAZING! I loved it every time, and it was included in the price of the cruise!

Scott, you should do it! It's so thrilling!
I love your T-shirt, that flying looks like fun, thanks for sharing.
My wheeldhair bound wife does it all the time and loves it
Can’t wait to try this myself next April 😁
It was free on this cruise.

You did it twice! I went 26 times
Thanks for that, Morgan! Was it difficult to breathe?? I wonder how that works with air blowing at you at that speed??
Pretty cool. Did it on land over the summer and the cost was basically the cost of a cruise. 😆
They probably only allow such short and limited sessions because of the massive amount of power it pulls.
There is a place in Raeford NC near Fort Bragg where you can do this. It is very popular and they have multiple package deals.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes there is. Check the Royal Caribbean website for the current details.
Where do you keep your sea pass/key card?
In the changing area with everything else. It felt safe!
Hi Morgan
Great video as always!
Say do they make videos of the people doing this so they can purchase as a souvenir? JEFF
They didn't when I was flying, but they did take pictures of some of the participants.
We havent experienced it yet but there is one I'm sure you have seen and not noticed. Near universal Orlando across from where wet n wild used to be.

I know isn't that weird about not being able to breathe? I'm glad I figured it out before the next time I tried it!
We have one here in Orlando. I've never done it but it's not far from the theme parks!
This was awesome! Always wanted to try that.
I only know that they have one in the Smokey mtns in Tennessee- USA
That was very cool. Go Morgan!
I really thank you for this information it is really helpful and very valuable to learn from in order to enjoy the experience

I cant wait to try this on Quantum of the Seas next year december
That was so cool! Good for you for giving it a try 👍. Great job.
Wowsers Morgan It’s looks amazing 😉 I just got off Oviation and I didn’t do the - I fly took pics wish I did 😱 it though😱
So what’s next skydiving Morgan! Go for it!
I doubt I'd get more than my height off the ground/grid. 😅
Unfortunately Morgan I would be to big for this but it does look like fun! But you looked like you had a blast!
I did it on land years ago (like 20 years ago) It was about 75 dollars then in Vegas

This is outside of the one time free session?
Morgan I just kept thinking of you wearing someone else’s Disney fur suit. Cause it is also soaked with someone else’s sweat. Lol
