@@davidlacko8503 because the video would be half an hour long, its the same process for every waypoint, nothing changes from the first one to the last.

Great Video! This always took me like ages, even with my mouse connected to the xbox. I‘m glad that we now can simply import it directly from Simbrief in the A310.
Great tutorial pal, never used simbrief before but with your help now doing EGCC to LFPG. Had a few discrepancies in the flight plan but pretty accurate all the same.

Hi James, great videos and piloting skills may I say, and very nicely and slowly explained by you. As an absolute novice you have been a godsend. Would it be possible for you to be able to re-do the tutorials as they have seemed to iron out the problems with the A320. Maybe a Newcastle/Dublin to Bristol. Or a Bristol/Manchester to Palma da Mallorca. I have just managed to purchase an Xbox X with MSFS 2020 Premium Delux and bought some addons. These tutorial videos are brilliant and extremely helpful for beginners like myself. I just simply would not have a clue what to do if it wasn't for content creators - Pilots like yourself. I have been waiting years to be able to do this kind of flight simming, and not clued up enough to spend out thousands for a PC. Keep up the great work and please upload more MSFS 2020 Xbox X/S Tutorials. Like European routes, ie Manchester or Bristol to Spain, best addons/airports/GSX Ground Services etc. Do you think VATSIM will be joining Xbox in the future? Also it would be great to have the addon for cabin announcements as you taxi to the runway. That would be amazing. Happy Flying and look forward to the new videos being uploaded. When you enter the data in MCDU manually like you did in the video what about the speed and altitude? how do you get those?

You don’t need the speed the a320 manually sets ur takeoff,climb,level off,desent, and appr so no need to worry about that and in simbrief it tells u the cruising altitude

ZFW is Zero Fuel Weight. The “mass” of the aircraft without any fuel in it. The ZFWCG is the Zero Fuel Weight Center of Gravity. Where the Center of Gravity is for the aircraft without any fuel in it. This is normally ahead of where the loaded CofG position is when fuel in onboard. 👍

can we use the flight plan for the routing from Msfx it self? while following other methods ?
There are airports like OPSD which only have VFR (doing flight OPIS-OPSD). Is there a way to manually push in runway/SID when not provided by flight computer?
Also I faced an issue that it took me to destination at the cruising altitude and didn't descend on its own. How do you plan for descent steps on flight computer? I entered altitude and set it to "managed".

If you play with atc on and you manually enter each waypoint in the fmc atc will only get you to the initial altitude after you takeoff and after that have to ask for altitude increases. Instead of putting the waypoints in the fmc do it using the world map starting from the gate with no SID or departure runway but only put the STAR without the ils runway. If you put which runway you want to takeoff from or land using the world map atc in the game won't change it based off the wind directions.

I'm having the same problem. So, I put in all the information manually while I'm at the gate and request IFR clearance from ATC without any problem. The only issue is when I takeoff, ATC only tells me to go up to 7,000 or 10,000, and then I would have to ask for attitude increases until I get to my assigned attitude. Is there a way that ATC can just guide me to my assigned attitude without asking for attitude increases?

@@BigClassroomTv SIDs (Standard Instrument Departure) and STARS (Standard Terminal Arrivals) are routes for departing and arriving at busy airports. They’re meant to get you in or out of an airport safely. There’s a lot of good videos explaining more how they work.

@fishstakes how are you dealing with loading problems? If i save my game let's sai in midflight then after i load it to resume my flight all data from the flight is gone and no toolbar either? Right now i cant even use load game options.
Great video. Question, if you don't select an arrival will the in-game ATC assign you one as you get closer to the airport? Additionally, if yes does it factor in the live weather so you'd be matching that of the AI traffic?
Yes to both, you will have to request the landing before you begin your approach though, you should be able to radio in to the ATC tower before landing.
Great tutorial. BTW, I noticed that you selected DIVA4A instead of DIVAM4A for your approach. Is that a mistake or it's just a 1 letter difference so it's the same?
isn't it possible to save the .pln from simbrief and load it into the FMC? Putting in the whole flightplan manually is a pain.....

Hello lovely video however I have a question. When I was setting up my approach I saw the approach on the vrmap within the game the approach looked very wrong as the lines were all over the place and everything is there a way to fix this and have a smooth approach?

For some reason when the ATC instructs me to climb to a certain altitude it tells me stop at around 13000 to 16000 feet as if that’s my cruising altitude. However I am following the exact steps here and was wondering if there’s any way to fix this.
How do you request taxi using the flight plan? Whenever I do it I get options such as South, North, Straight ETC.

if I enter the flight plan, I can't see it in the flight assistant and the tower doesn't know about it either! It's deleted at the moment of departure! Why?can you show me your flight assist?
17:20 You don't need to do the whole flight just to show that, you can use the function that MSFS has to teleport to a waypoint and go from there. It would for sure take longer, but it's not like you said that you'd need to go though the whole flight just to show ATC giving instructions on app.
Also at 18:26 you say that the first one on the list is DIVAM4A which is not, there is an M missing there. Probably you said that cause you know something I don't, that makes you believe the M is useless, but if I were to do as you said for a different flight plan than the one you've showcased I wouldn't know if it's fine with or without the M.
Finally I just saw your previous video before this about simbrief and you've mentioned in that video that you'll be using a website for calculating performance of the aircraft in this episode but apparently you forgot. Or at least totally ignored that part.
Overall I think this 2 videos lack of loads of infos that I would consider pretty important when trying to have a more realistic experience. Cause if someone decides to go through the hustle of switching the flight plan from msfs to simbrief they probably don't want things just half-way done. I surely would have liked those extra stuff.

Hi James. Is it possible to do several flights almost like a full shift...ie....Dublin to Liverpool then Liverpool to Heathrow then Heathrow to Paris. I'm on Series S and I did manage to find how to add waypoints but not how to get ATC to recognise my new flight plan. Thank you in advance.
Sadly I also can't get ATC to recognise a second flight. Seems like a huge oversight to me, the best you can really do is to land, park up and then load out to the world map and back in again. If you're operating on real time then you can keep the immersion pretty well, thats about the best I can think of though. I can plug in a second flight plan but ATC don't seem to respond to it.
For some reason the inputs simbrief gives me don’t come up when trying to enter them. Says invalid airway or facility does not exist. I don’t get it I got them from simbrief and most of them don’t work.
Not all are in the game, usually the ones that dont work you can skip over, your flight should still be mostly accurate.

Okay so what you gotta do, bear with me trust me I swear you gotta type in settings, “factory reset” same thing happened to me and that fixed everything, it will ask you to restart just click yes

Yes, you can contact ATC before your approach and request a landing routine
Bruh you put SANBA below DECEL at 9:05 then after a cut it appeared above DECEL at 9:16. And same thing happened with the other waypoints too.

Can anybody explain why when I switch to autopilot my plane starts flying in circles in a downward direction until it hits the ground?
Get a better co pilot because that pilot is stupid maybe.

Really informative video, but I ran into the problem with ATC not specifying altitude, while flight was stuck on 5,000ft, any ideas on why?
