In today's Lore Lesson, Seiben goes over the the rich history of Goblins found across the Multiverse of Magic: The Gathering. These tiny terrors have a rich history in MTG, starting from the very first set and continuing on more recent sets. With each adventure on a new planes, more often than not, you find some variations of this creature type! Lets examine some of the most popular and unique Goblins found in MTG lore!

Any chance of getting a part 2 where you talk about the goblins of Mirrodin, Mercadia, Fiora and/or Shandalar? And as awesome as Squee is, there's plenty of other important goblins like Daretti, Krenko, Slobad, Grenzo and the Shattergang Brothers.
I guess it says something about how iconic goblins are that, even after such an informative video there's still plenty left to touch on.
Yeah, goblins are in my opinion the best tribe, with lots of content in the game and in the lore

Thanks so much for the video! My favorite goblin has to be Krenko. Not only did he kill one of the Shattergang Brothers and start a huge mafia war, but he also stabbed Gideon TWICE after his protection field had been activated! (He is also my commander :P)

AlurichtheMad I wasn't covering specific goblins so much as just racial comparisons between planes with a few example figures thrown in.

Finally. Someone who understands that Dimir is just some fairy tale told by old maids to scare their children into behaving. I mean honestly. How on earth would a guild exist without a means to recruit openly? That's simply preposterous. And most certainly, they wouldn't employ a goblin of all thing, with a peculiar intellect and sense of leadership. Why the concept is just silly. i think its just as important to talk about the goblins of mirrodin. they were taken from their original plane and yet we have not seen other goblins like them since. that feels off to me.

Welcome to how I feel. I started back during the Homelands era. Which was a just plain silly set at times. ie: Apocalypse Chime. An artifact with near worthlessness in the game now. Unless the opponent has a few lands from the Homelands set. >_>
Sure, he forgot Krenko, but what about the whole plane of mirridon. You've got one of the smartest goblins in the multiverse there, Slobad. He even held a planeswalker spark briefly. His story is beautiful and sad.
Do more lore on Creature types like this please.

Silly fellow. Krenko isn't real. He's not a threat either. Nor is he an asset, highly valued for his keen set of skills. No He is none of that. Most certainly noone who would be employed by anyone, no less be employed. Yes. Certainly. Assuredly.

You forgot the Goblins of Paliano. Like Grenzo and his ruffians. Even the great planeswalker Dareretti the iconoclast is from there.
I had a Goblins deck in 1996, but nobody to play with...I would just carry it around with me.....Just got back in and am making a new one!!!
I wish that, if and when they do make kamigawa 2, we get some more viable akki. I think that they are the coolest looking goblins mtg has ever made. I have the spymaster tokens for now, but i'd gladly substitute them for akki tokens

I know Fiora hasn't had much coverage, but you didn't mention it. More importantly, you didn't mention the only goblin planeswalker: Daretti.

You forgot the goblins from Fiora. Where one was a huge political player on the plane and one is planeswalker.

I would suggest using videos like these to dip you toe in the water for certain subjects. For instance you mention Fiora goblins from conspiracy and if people start asking questions than push a little further with it. You've been making content for a bit so you probably know this. It's better to give us a little taste of something then revisiting it with another video than glossing over it due to time. Keep up the good work.
Mr. Recklessness good idea. I have covered Fiora and Conspiracy in the past to mixed reviews. should have touched on the goblins there though.

Idk, I don't think I like the way this channel is going. I get that you want I expand from the niche vorthos videos, but personally I'm not sure it really works for me and probably others too.
