yes, i was searching for that, saved my day!
Glad it helped.
this is gonna take my volca FM to the next level
Cool feature Paul, I didn't know about this... thanks for the tip :-)
Yes, I knew about from one of the early videos, which was why I wanted one [two :)] but as I said in the video, a few have asked about the sequences being longer than expected, so it was clear not everyone was aware of this feature.
“Eeeght” 😄
Great video, thanks.
I just learned about this feature...Thx for the upload...I subbed
Glad I helped.
Also works with the Volca Kick. I don’t have other Volcas but propably works with many other if not all volcas
tompparaideri it doesn’t, only from the sample & FM onwards 👍🏻
@@MicroBanshee Do you know it Keys has the function?
@@epicon6 I used to have the keys and I'm pretty sure it didn't have pattern chain, I'm sure the sample was the first Volca to have it.
No way! Thanks for the info! Totally awesome feature
Lovely sequence too. :)
Great Video. Easy and Short
Thank you
Nice demo my friend. Thnx!
Thank you
Great! That looks pretty easy to do!
!!! wow, thanks for explaining this in so much detail!!
Cheers
I wonder if the volca bass can chain pattens.
it can't, only the FM/Sample/Drum/Nubass can
@@MicroBanshee Thanks ..This had me confused as the instructions are very limited.
Still a stunning little machine..Ive had it a few months now and I cannot stop playing it with my Tr8s...the more I use the vola bass the more unique sounds I find..
Can I save, say 3 different patterns, then chain them, but play pattern 1, 8 times, then pattern 2, 4 times, then pattern 3, 8 times?
Or…. Pattern 1, 8 times, then pattern 2, 4 times, then pattern 1, 8 times, etc…?
No, that would be 'song mode' which this doesn't have. Try the Roland Verselab or MC-101
@@MicroBanshee ok gotcha. Thanks for the quick reply!
Nice!!
Thanks for the tip man ! One question, is there a way to record during a cianed sequenced ?
I don't think you can do that, I don't have the Volcas now so I can't check it out for you.
Hello, I was wondering if you could help me please. I am a complete novice and am looking at getting one of these. Is it plug and play in terms of not needing to buy other bits to make it work. All I want to do is experiment with sounds and try make some synth music. Cheers, thank you.
Yes, if you buy new the Volca FM comes with batteries, so it’s useable straight out of the box! Built in speaker or use the headphone jack
Can one volca connect to another and increase poly?
No, that's not possible, they don't work like that..
Micro Banshee it’s possible if you use retro kits rk002 cable that sets up polychaining with anything really that you run from the cable
I have a newbie question. I have roland fa06. But it doesnt have a pattern sequencer inside..It has only a simple step sequence. Shame. My question is. Can i control my fa with volca fm? should i buy this? is it possible chain pattern sequencing in external gear? how? thanks i will decide whether.to buy.this or not according to my requested answer
I don't own a Roland FA06, so I can't answer your question, sorry.
@@MicroBanshee i.mean any other external gear
The pattern chaining will only work on the Volca FM, I'm not sure what else you mean? you could 'midi' to the FM and play the sounds via an external keyboard
@@ozcandurmusoglu if you are talking about sending midi keys (generated by a pattern or just played) FROM the FM to other hardware, I'm afraid you can not.
The volca fm doesn't have a dedicated midi out to send data. I've seen a mod that you can made this midi out hacking the board, but it won't work for the keys, just the controls. Looks like this is hard coded by korg, so you won't get the keys info out of volca AFAIK.
I can be wrong, but that's what I read.
If you have a controller keyboard with built in sequencer, like Arturia keystep, it can do the job.
