Hey Jolmer, always happy to see a new video from you pop up in my notifications! Don't forget to fulfill the challenge of mikey and tell us you 5 recommendations ;) looking forward to getting to know some new channels ;) keep up the great work. Besides your videos i also enjoy watching the progress of your channel, congrats!
Thanks! 👍🏻 I was way ahead of all these aviation TH-camrs, when I tried to start my own channel referral chain/challenge. Which didn't took off 😋 Here it is: th-cam.com/video/rE0XLFe7oFs/w-d-xo.html
@@EliAviator Normally, it's not so difficult. It varies between countries, wheather or not you need a permit for microlight aircraft to fly from one EU country into another. From the Netherlands to Germany and vice versa, there's none needed. Now with Covid, it starts to get difficult again. Hopefully everything stays open, but who knows?
Very good mini series Jolmer. Covered a lot of ground in the air and content in the camera! Great to get the shout out from Mikey as well. Subscriber numbers on a reheat climb out! 🛫 (I can remember asking my followers to support you so you could pass the 1000!) 😎👍🌟
Damn, those views from the cockpit are beautiful! I'd love to fly over fields like that, but i'll need to wait one year to go to Flight School! Cheers from Argentina!
That's probably one long year of waiting to start flight training? I can understand you'd be very eager to start? Thanks for watching! 👍🏻 Hi back at ya from The Netherlands! 😎
@@ForFunFlyer Yes! I'm 16, i already did go to the airfield from where i'm going to move to, my Grandfather was an aviator there actually, in the 40's, and they are going to accept me next year! I would love to go there more, but i'm 1.500 Kilometers away, and there is a pandemic out there, so i'll wait hehe
@@hachipanki8634 That's awesome, to follow your grandfather's steps in becoming a pilot! 👌🏻 Yes, the Covid crisis hits everyone, right? Just don't let it ruin your ambitions, just go for it! 💪🏻
Great to see you had a safe/successful journey Jolmer👌 what are the performance specs on your plane? Horse power, fuel burn, cruise speed etc. Happy flying🇿🇦
Thanks! 👍🏻 Max cruise speed is 100 kts indicated at 4900 rpm @ 18 ltr/hour fuel burn. I can push it to 5100 rpm continuous, but I'd just gain 5 to 10 kts extra speed, but the burn would go up to 23 ltr/hour (estimates). All in all a very practical plane, capable of stable slow flight (demonstrated Vso is 37 kts) and a practicle cruise of 100 kts. Very happy with those numbers 😎
Fantastic video Jolmer & it was great to see Mikey give you a shout out! Thanks to Plane Savers that's how I found you & have been following along since. What are your favorite TH-cam Aviation Channels? Maybe you could do a video of that too? Cheers from Australia!
It was the duct around the oil cooler, that was untightened at one side, due to vibrations. The duct is thin aluminium, which acted as a whistle with the air rushing in from the front. Nothing critical but very annoying 🙈 Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
Great last part of this trilogy, Jolmer! Those fluffy clouds look adorable above the glowing German landscape. Glad everthing turned out well. Was it loosen tape in the back?
Thanks! 👍🏻 Well, it turned out to be a loose side of the oil cooler duct, but I'll show that in an upcoming video. Still nothing critical, but very annoying 😋
Thanks Jolmer, just found your channel because I was looking for info on the Sting S4. I've seen all three of the videos in this series, very interesting. I was also watching a video on the retractable version - did you consider that one ?
@@ForFunFlyer same could apply to the VL3 you flew(!), also in case of a forced landing, much safer into the water/sea or standing crops with less likelihood of overturning..
@@mikegmdw1 No, the construction of the VL3 retract LG is better than the Sting, as far as I investigated both. So VL3 with retracts; yes 👍🏻 On the Sting, IMHO, not so much...

Did your palms get sweaty due to the deterioration of the weather? If yes, you must be happy the big ventilator in front of the aircraft remained operational 😜Great video!
Well, it was a very humbling experience for sure. One where I probably blinked less with my eyes than I usually do 😉 It was marginal, but stayed VMC nevertheless. But barely...
A flight with coffee and most importantly when cake is involved is always a good flight. Thanks for taking us along Jolmer.
Affirm on the cake! 😋 Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
Awesome trip back home.
Congrats again on the big up from Mikey. Well deserved. Keep it up. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks! 👍🏻
Nice episode Jolmer! Keep up the good work! 😎💪👍🛩

You're welcome! Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
Jolmer, you have done it again! Another great video and content, Mikey was right👍😀
Thanks mate, appreciate that! 👍🏻
Great last video of this adventure!
It must have been a bit exciting to find your way through the low clouds! Nice job!

Thanks! 👍🏻
@@ForFunFlyer How easy is to fly over the borders in Europe?

Thanks Jolmer, just found your channel because I was looking for info on the Sting S4. I've seen all three of the videos in this series, very interesting. I was also watching a video on the retractable version - did you consider that one ?
