Great presentation, great product, cool people and fantastic musicians. At the vocals I got lost to listen to the compression, as the voice and lyrics were so touching...
+qwerty1000 because at first it is the camera mic picking up the bass from the room sound while Dave Derr is talking at 4:50 you here the Pro Tools track. Have a great day
Had mine for about 2 months. Its amazing on pop/ rap/trap vocals. The 8ms attack time works surprisingly well for these styles of vocals. A few DB reduction (5max) is what i shoot for, usually
@@chrisovid i don't have experience with EDM or HOUSE music but i dont see why not. Especially if you use it during mixing. This comp doesnt really soften vocals like some comps do. It kind of pushes the vocals forward in a good way. You have to lower the output the more you drive it. I only use it as a front end recording chain so i dont hit it very hard. (4:1 8ms, 100ms 5db max reduction). Super flexible unit and its the cleanest preamp ive ever used (with com/sat bypass). Comp/sat section makes it MAGIC
has a lot of great features. sounded nice on drums, but it totally sucked all the life out of that bass guitar -- most likely due to the high ratio and hard compression you used.
