    Ive just landed on this channel, and to be fair, Not often does someone talk the specs and to the reasonings of why those specs matter, but also give audio examples for those features spruiked.
    Subbed

    Great demo! I normally track through the FATSO, but last night night I ran mixes through the RNDI-S, TG2, and FATSO to see what everything added, and the FATSO does add a great finishing tone. I liked your 2 input, no compression or warmth setting the most on the track. It's was also a nice reminder that driving the input naturally compresses the audio like tape does, so you don't necessarily need to add compression unless you want it to pump a little.

      @LesVegasMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      @jonmanness that's exactly right! I'm a big fan of lite settings on the mix bus myself, but I always include them for viewers who prefer more aggressive settings as well. I don't want to hear "You expect me to hear 1-2 dB of gain reduction"? 🙂

    Nice unit. How good is a transformer circuit, is it too much for using on a mix bus (for color) in a sence of hurting big lows and highs or it's O.K.?

    • @LesVegasMusic
      @LesVegasMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @b.hornetiii.6771 Thanks for watching and for your comment. I think is good! It adds a bit of that analog sound we're all after without hurting the lows or highs.

    Question, when the knobs are in the same position supposedly the signal processed are the same right or the calibration is independent, because in my case i have to use tone to calibrate

    • @LesVegasMusic
      @LesVegasMusic  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ladanzza Hmm. Yeah. No calibration should be required. Check your cables. Make sure they're both plugged in all the way on each end. Make sure you're using balanced cables and not one unbalanced cable by accident. Make sure signal coming out of the DAW and audio interface is equal. One time, I had an audio interface that output signal -6 dB quieter on several channels. Drove me nuts trying to figure that one out! Also, if you have an audio interface with console software like UA Console, MOTU Pro Audio Control, or Apogee Control for example, make sure the fader on the channel that's outputting less signal isn't down a bit in the control software. I know you've probably checked all these things, but yeah, you shouldn't need to calibrate with the FATSO. Hope something I said here helps or that you get it sorted out quickly so you can get back to making tunes! ✌🏼❤️

    Hello our dear friend
    Have you thought about releasing a video or starting a group teaching mixing/mastering, tricks and tips?
    You're doing great!
    You have a good presentation, a pleasant voice and a beautiful picture.
    I think that you will be able to interest even more people by telling and showing sound processing techniques)
    Sorry for my bad english, google translate.
    Hello from Kyiv

    • @LesVegasMusic
      @LesVegasMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Aaron-pb8rw Thank you! Yes, I'm planning to teach all aspects of music production from start to finish as my channel grows. I'm getting close to meeting the requirements of offering members only content here on TH-cam which I plan to make VERY affordable for everyone. Maybe just a few dollars a month. I'm making a big push right now so I can get there, and offer that content to my viewers. I'm starting with gear reviews and comparisons because I'm always experimenting and doing that for myself and am just sharing my experiences along the way, but the goal has always been to ultimately help independent recording artists decide which hardware and software to buy and learn how and why to use it so they can produce commercial quality music on their own in the most efficient and cost effective way. So yes. Stick around. I plan to have some of the best content available online anywhere and always at a price that's affordable to all. Thanks again!

    So its another bbe sonic maximizer?

    • @LesVegasMusic
      @LesVegasMusic  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey @WaynePryce thanks for watching and for your question. Well, no but I can see how you could draw the comparison. The Fatso is a compressor, harmonic generator, soft clipper, high frequency saturator, transformer and tape head emulator. The BBE Sonic Maximizer adjusts phase relationships between frequencies, not by compressing the signal. It breaks audio into three multi-band segments, and delays the mids and lows so that the highs are heard first. This gives the audio a clear, defined sound, with the body and low end coming through later.

    Saturation over 100k ! I think you mean 100 hertz?

    • @LesVegasMusic
      @LesVegasMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @WithoutTroy Nope. 100KHz according to page 4 of the manual. Apparently, much higher than the range of human hearing. 🤯
