Although many dislike these reloads, I do enjoy them. They stand out in their own unique style without becoming the generic blob that is tactical-realism reloads.
Tbh, they look very stiff in a very robotic way. They could do with some smoother transitions, to help give that more natural type movement to them. Though some of the animations do a bit of a better job on that front, such as those of the QBZ family.
@@stepanokhrimenko9189 They work but they still look very bland and boring to look at it. Nothing wrong with wanting some flair and personality on animations, really.
they should have dynamic reload times where it plays in with the suppression mechanics, making it so that when youve been shot at in the last minute or two the guy reloads quicker with a more urgent animation, would make the game feel more immersive
I never liked these much. Squad may be a sim-type game but that doesn’t mean realistic reloads have to be boring. They proved this with their own predecessor, Project Reality. The complete lack of any camera animation and the weirdly fast yet still consistent pacing of each action just doesn’t look good.
Many devs seem to think that realistic=slow. Insurgency suffers from this as well. The animations are both slow but incredibly methodical and consistent at the same time. People who are not that skilled in using weapons like regular soldiers don't reload like this
@@andreavacca9182 I suppose it's a design compromise for developers of large-scale tactical shooters. They believe fast reloads encourage a fast-paced playstyle, which is something they don't want to emphasize in their games. However, there are instances where fast reloads can work well in tactical shooters, particularly on small-scale maps. Case in point: Ready or Not.
Counterpoint, making your camera shake and wobble like you’re a drunkard when reloading is unrealistic and unnecessarily intrusive. My head doesn’t bounce around when I put a mag in my rifle.
These reloads aged badly now , squad now has faster ttk and the reloads are way too slow , the lack of camera animations also adds to this . Yet the alpha version which follows the pricipals of project reality and project reality itself has the same pacing and the animation are more pleasing to look at (edit : to clarify i am refering to alpha v9 from 2017 when they still follow the PRBF2 aesthetic)

The weird pauses could’ve been substituted for struggling to put the mag in or showing the character putting the mag in their vest before putting in a new one. I’ve hated these animations because it just shows that the character is being slow on purpose. I’d rather them make mistakes on their reloads to extend the time rather than just then looking at the mag for a couple seconds
@@DarrenSmith-j8m cool, but it shouldn't take that long in a combat environment and besides, even on a full loadout why even check the need for bullets in a mag?

They probably dislike it cuz the reloading was too slow.

litterally every pistol is the same animation, same can be said for pretty much every single gun in this shit game

Idk what y’all are talking about, these sounds are amazing.
Totally
But they made the AK sound worse, they edited it
So Satisfying
Average Simple milsim reload animation enjoyer.
luv the animations, just perfect for squad

Iterally empty reload on every AK except drum mag done with iraqi reload, no one in combat do that.

It doesn't even take that long tho. Everyone is just typing that it's too slow because they feel like the other games do it differently.
more of checking if the mag is clean without dirt or debris
g53?
You do Rising storm Vietnam 2
You should do insurgency sandstorm or rising Strom 2 : veitnam
I like Militia
Finally someone has done what the pathetic reload chanels wouldnt bother
In Wormpool AR standard animation you can see how magazine moves separately from hand and doesn't keep up with it, cringe
The only thing I dont like is iraqi reload with mag drop on AK. It doesnt match for tactical shooter.
To squad devs: THEYRE TOO SLOW SPEED THEM UP PLEASE IT NEEDS MORE URGENCY AND ADRENALINE
Smooth is fast
No they're okay, delete the game and go to insurgency or cod
No personality, no sense of urgency, just a lackadaisical set of animations
