The Nagant 1912 is the unlicensed copy, that was made in Liege, Belgium and Garate Anitua Y Cia Eibar, Spain. It was one of the main handguns of Greek officers from 1907 till 1922, but some of them were still used in WW2, with some being captured by the Germans. The German designation for the captured revolvers was Revolver 613(g). In Greek service, these Revolvers were known as Nagant 1912s
I was confused looking at this thing cause I have an 1895 Nagant, the long cylinder and the round itself confused me. But I looked it up and yeah it was a legit thing. Well as legit as a knockoff can be. Only thing I see wrong is that since there's no spring on the ejector rod so you need to pull it forward yourself.
11:54 Yea, that actually happened, funny enough, in the early war Australians and Brits used Enfield 1914s in Africa in particular as Sniper rifles, before more modern No.4s and appropriate scopes became available.
I really enjoy them adding the Gras 1874, single-shot black powder rifles are always enjoyable in games, especially when they're extremely outdated by the time it's being utilized.
To be fair, very, very few countries, even in desperate situations actually had enough of those left in operational state to be used that way, or justify their inclusion . Greece is probably the only such case in WW2.
The Bazooka and the Panzerschreck in this game lacks of wire attach into the power charge (both of these launcher rocket rounds are required to pull out the cable and plug into the power charge, for allow the launcher trigger the rocket)
@ermeteT7997 Theatrically, they can reload by one man but... In practical case, it's too hard to maintain balance upon a long tube launcher so yeah 2 man squad is need to fully operating this weapon.
I think i remember reading about it somewhere that devs who made the models initially simply didn't model the wires and thus the animators didn't include them. If the animation is rewamped, that would probably be accompanied with a slight remodeling.
@@stepanokhrimenko9189 both modellers and animators know very well how each weapon system works. It's simply that in a videogame where you are forced to recreate some squad weapons in order to make them individual (because no one would ever like to play as a loader of an lmg or of a rocket launcher), you can't set up accurate reloading animations for them.
@@ermeteT7997 Day of Infamy and HLL show that those animations can work in First Person though, so I stand by my word. I'm not arguing that S44 should've gone for the 2 man AT teams, only saying that sadly we are unlikely to see that wire animation any time soon
Very nice for showing the Greek faction guns. I think this is the first all weapons video showing them, almost every other all weapons video don't include them somehow
One thing I actually like is that in classic Squad, the soldiers remain calm when reloading the guns. But in Squad 44, on some guns (such as the STG44), you can see the soldier's hands quivering loading the magazine. This detail could infer modern Squad is played by experienced military soldiers, while Squad 44 is played by random citizens sucked into war through enlistment.
I own a roughly 1943 dated (by serial number) M1, and let me tell you that video games don't nearly hit the ping like it does in real life. Would recommend.
Wtf, they finally replaced the rifle of Britsh Rifle Grenadier from No.4 to SMLE? I mean, they still didnt really use cup dischargers in combat, but at least its now on a rifle it was actually issued with.
A thing sometimes done irl to prevent jams, but really its just a clever way to extent the empty animation on a weapon (or rather mags) with a last round hold open feature.
The Bren animation shows the bolt needing to be locked back when irl it has a last round bolt hold open. Same with the Mg26(t) / Zb30, as well as the animation showing the same gun mag rocking in the wrong way.
That magazine check animation at 3:09 is reused from the original Squad game, and is just cringe! Generally, speaking of Squad, it has that smooth-ASMR type reload animations that happens to be in one speed, zero dynamics. It simply does not make any sense in true combat, especially CQB. In emergency situation, it pisses me off when I need to get that magazine reload as fast as possible but the soldier acts way too calm for his own good. While the enemy is approaching me around the corner, the reload animations be like: "If it can be reloaded on time, there’s no need to worry, and if it can’t be reloaded, worry is of no use.”
i see they STILL didn't fix thompson not locking forward yes that's a huge problem because you literally CAN'T count your rounds in combat and we have omnipotent soldier who ALWAYS know when he ran out of ammo so even when we hear click he doesn't pull the trigger on empty mag and mp 40 still does cursed HK slap reload, when will these people learn that this is NOT how this gun works but hey at least no he remember to charge the STG44 also everyone misses old shooting range
MP40 has reworked reload animations, which the empty one no longer does the HK slap. Some guns still has Parkinson-ahh reload animations from Post Scriptum days that needs to be reworked.
The thompson stick mag is has a feature that can hold the bolt, even when the gun out of ammo. Unless user press the trigger once when round are empty. And mp40 animation is fixed, bro.
Nope. Stick magazine on every thompson variants, has a feature that can hold the bolt even after the magazine out of ammo. Unless user press the trigger once
Too calm reload, and dont get me wrong, i dont want them ww2 soldier to reload like cod operators, but not too calm like this, especially in the middle of the battle field with bullet and grenade exploding around you
I love how everyone who ever makes one of these videos knows that you have to include the final M1 shot so we can hear the ping
It is an unofficial Law, you must respect it as a guntuber!
Man these are some damn nice sound design, music to my ears
Damn, you went all out and even included the animations when using the bipod. You earned yourself a subscription!
Love the weapon variety in this game, the audio and animations are top-notch as well.

A true man of taste I see..
I like the reused model and animation of Browning Hi-Power and the “23” marking from the game Squad 😁
MG 08/15 misses the important step of pulling the belt to the left while cranking the charging handle twice.
i'm glad they patched the new revolvers animations as they would spin the closed cylinder which is impossible to do
that’s alotta guns

Some animations, like the 1911 or stick mag Thompsons are incredibly robotic
Yea, the animation set is kind of mess since iirc even at PS days there were different animators trying to use different styles
