The tiredness after a trip like that is more linked to motivation and excitement rather than jet lag. Whilst in England the serotonin high from being somewhere where you want every minute to count keeps you from feeling tired.
We accidentally attracted mice by keeping birdseed under our kitchen sink. Honestly, putting the food in a rodent proof bin solved half the problem. We did go the humane trap route, as well, as our cat had just had surgery and couldn’t fight them, and eventually got rid of them. It’s great that your landlord responded so proactively. Hope you don’t see any more!
re: snaps popping open - you can easily sew the majority of the front shut using an invisible stitch. i have a large chest and have to do this with my button down shirts. it doesn't take much time and is REALLY easy to do.
My opinion only, but I like your lashes without the extensions/fake ones. Lash serums really to work, you (me too!) just have to keep using it and be patient. Also, love the brown polka-dot dress!
Love you girly but you hit pan on that one powder so long ago! Treat yourself to a new one lol but we do love a queen who tries to use every last bit! ❤
At first I thought oh noo not again! But it sounds like the guy did a thourough job filling in the gaps, and it really does make a difference. I shared a house with a friend in Melbourne, Australia and we had mice and rats (it was an old 1890s workers cottage with a basement). Kept telling the landlord and his solution was to bring over more mouse traps rather than filling in the holes. When he eventually agreed to a pest control specialist taking a look we found out that my friends room (directly above the basement) was dangerously close to falling throught to the basement because the rats had eaten the support beams. Those had to get replaced! So I completely understand the oh my god not again feeling. Luckly for us with everything that happened in that house we can laugh about it now and chalk it up to a learning curve on how to advocate for ourselves. It's good they came quick and put in the mesh and patched up the holes. After they did that at ours we never had an issue.
new yorker here where mice are extremely common-- def assume that its a mouse. sounds like your landlord handled it very well. i would put some traps out too to be safe in case the little guy is stuck inside.
You can get these little plug ins that admit a high pitched noise humans can't hear to help stop rodents getting into the house - and they are suppose to also help with spider problems. We have a dog and she's not bothered by the noise incase you were worried about Leila or Moo.
Oh girl we had the whole zoo up in our place at some point lol. We live in the country side close to a creek and we had mice, toads, rabbits, squirrels, mother duck and ducklings, hedgehogs, birds and I’m sure I’m forgetting some all coming to say hi lol. I once shared my bedroom with a little bird 😂. It slept on my closet and was staring at me when I woke up lol. We are used to it pretty much. We get them out to a safe spot and move on. The only thing I can not get used to are spiders. Horrible 😅
pet foods attract mice, especially when they know cooler weather is coming. get yourself some watertight bins to keep Moo and Layla's food in and helps keep the food from attracting any pests. :)
Pro tip for the girlies who want the fancy cup but don’t want to spend $40- the 30 oz Built tumbler from Walmart + an extra long reusable straw is under $20 and works pretty well. It won’t stay too cold if the air is hot, but in the AC or cool climate it keeps my ice for 12 hrs!
The menu saying « Bibite » is killing me 😂 Bite is a slang french word to say p*nis, and a « bibite » is a fun way to say it 😂 I’m sorry I ruined the whole thing with this comment, but i laughed when i saw that clip 😅
I have a 15 year old cat. She regularly brings field mice home… sometimes without a body. In one week I received half a mouse, live bird and live bat. Rescued the two live presents and sent them on their way.
Oh i have a mouse story! So we have 2 dogs and one is smart one not so much! I kept noticing the pibble was sniffing around and kept going to check underneath a hutch and a recliner. Well one night at 3am i was up grabbing a drink and BAM a mouse ran right by me to under the hutch! Of course pibble ran after it and now i see what she had been checking out. So finally a few nights later i was letting doggos out in back yard and i watched the mouse run out! Thank god but it did chew some wires we found out awhile later! Always listen to your animals at least the smart ones🤣🤣
They were doing construction a few blocks away and a rat got in our house and it made my cat super territorial and she peed on the carpet to show she was boss. Thankfully we caught it and haven’t had one since
I just got the 30oz Stanley, I’m excited, I love the colors. It’s funny how even water bottles can be trendy. I used my hydro flask for the first time in forever today and was like oh wow, those were the “Stanley” of like 3 years ago lol
You can’t keep mice out of houses. Period. Sounds like the super made a good effort, though! Spiders, either-which eat worse things, BTW. Put food in mouse proof containers.
ohhh noo not the spiders in your bed and walls :c i get spiders in my bedroom a lot, and my room looks like its the only one that attracts baby spiders too bc its been maybe 2 or 3 times that ive had baby spiders crawling in my bedroom walls. its usually in summer (this year it happened again ugh) like dozens and dozens tiny tiny spiders crawling..im guessin they make nests somewhere in my room and everytime ive to really clean and look for it ugh i hate it. a few days ago i felt somethin in my arm and it was a black spider i fuckin screamed and jumped i hate spiders. if i got one in my bed i would stop sleepin here tbh.. i also have a very small room and a lot of stuff in it soo maybe tht doesnt help. im hopin now that i got an ac on my window during summer i wont have that baby spiders problem anymore
omg this time last year my bf and I moved into this house and it was INFESTED with mice. Like living behind the oven and going INTO the oven and pooping and it was terrible.
I came here to say that. I have ADHD and typically wake up between 12:30 to 1:00 every morning. I usually have to take a benadryl to get sleep after that but I wake up at 5:30 a.m. for work no problem.
@@margoedwards3035 My husband does the same thing. He wakes up for an hour or so every night. HIs Dad does the same thing and I am fairly certain that he has ADHD as well.
Welcome to that mouse life! Years ago I was living in a 100-year-old apartment in Chicago when an abandoned industrial structure behind my building was gutted for renovation, displacing probably hundreds of mice. For 10-12 days I would wake up each morning to a dead mouse in the snap trap behind my stove. The exterminator came three times and even after that I still got the occasional random lost mouse in the apartment. I honestly felt bad for the mice but also it was disgusting.
I live in NC next to a lake and we constantly have fruit flies, spiders, centipedes, and cockroaches. We only kill the cockroaches, we throw out the centipedes, and we make friends with and name the spiders and only catch and release them if they are in our bedroom. It’s just our reality that we’re used to lol and it’s funny to hear ppl who live in cities freak out over bugs and think y’all wouldn’t make it living so close to nature like we do. It’s just the reality of living in the woods.
I have terrible insomnia, usually i go a handful of weeks and then sleep normal and back again, I'm on over 2 months of not sleeping till 330-530 am everyday. I'm over it! i don't wish this on anyone
i love it when a landlord actually does their job. it's so rare and special omg.
The tiredness after a trip like that is more linked to motivation and excitement rather than jet lag. Whilst in England the serotonin high from being somewhere where you want every minute to count keeps you from feeling tired.
“Is it green?” 🤣🤣🤣 I love when my colorblind husband tries to guess a color. Bless their heart.

"Mice Advice". The 2022 version of Rat Chat.
LOVE that... lol xxx
The sleep issues/waking for hours in the night that you mentioned could be due to your adhd! X
weirdly proud of drew for lotioning up while telling the mouse story lol
Rat chats! 🐁😂
Your patio at night looks like an actual dream😍
My opinion only, but I like your lashes without the extensions/fake ones. Lash serums really to work, you (me too!) just have to keep using it and be patient. Also, love the brown polka-dot dress!
That spicy pasta looks unreal!
That dress is beautiful!! How would it look with your white boots??
The Duck Tales shirt made me love you even more
Love you girly but you hit pan on that one powder so long ago! Treat yourself to a new one lol but we do love a queen who tries to use every last bit! ❤
I strongly recommend keeping your pet food in a storage container to keep away bugs and rodents

Girl!! We have a mouse too! We've put traps out but nothing. We're just hoping it goes on its own accord 😭

I work at REI and we have a bunch of those stanley’s in store right now!
9:30 it’s so cute!

Your vlogs are so good Carrie! That food omg! Im hungry 🤣🤣
"is that green?" lol drew
You can sew the bottom of the denim dress closed and just keep the top snaps functional!
Okay but I’m obsessed with your duck tales shirt 😍
I 100% had that gap denim dress in high school in about 1996!

I remember the mice ordeal. I was so invested! 😅
I’m obsessed if that’s an out of the box picture in your bathroom
Love the brown dress! Just gorgeous. Also, curious, where did you get that necklace from?

that part under the cabinet is called a toekick. :)
Layla being a loaf at 10:12 is too much for me
Layla 🤝 🍞
So during the beginning of the video I said “ooh new cup!” when you were filling up the water cup and then you actually talked about it. 😂😂
glad your landlord did a thorough job! but god, not the spiders 😭

Why did the breakfast look sooo good… even the water somehow 😂
15:07 Did you just say "pardon my french" and proceded to speak italian?😤😂
omg I’m an OG rat chat girlie and I want to scream that you had a mouse again lol
Makes me feel better because I too am dealing with mice. Not my favorite time.
The menu saying « Bibite » is killing me 😂 Bite is a slang french word to say p*nis, and a « bibite » is a fun way to say it 😂 I’m sorry I ruined the whole thing with this comment, but i laughed when i saw that clip 😅
Has anyone else realized the song thats playing during the beginning of the video sounds just like the intro song to Hey Arnold??
That pasta made me want to come thru the screen! Yummy
From the title I was like, well at least it won't be a rat or bad neighbour... OMG!!! A baby mouse, hope moo never knew where his food was going lol

What type of contractor did you call to help with the mouse/rat ?
Well- cats don't help 🤣

11:30 love the dress
Rat chats are back 🐀
Josh and Noelle ! 😀
Cute headband, do you remember where you got it?
They were doing construction a few blocks away and a rat got in our house and it made my cat super territorial and she peed on the carpet to show she was boss. Thankfully we caught it and haven’t had one since
hey carrie
All I could think about when Drew was talking was “Oh, Drew looks so handsome😊!”
Nooooooo re: the mouse!
i also bought the $40 cup i won't lie

we put out humane traps and then let them out at the park by our house and they were SO CUTE and small awww
@@sheilaturner23 So cute but so gross! I get the occasional cockroach and they are truly vile.
So glad you took care to move them in a humane way! Good on you! They really are so cute.
You should totally go get a sleep study. You could have apnea or many other issues keeping you from a good nights rest.
ADHD can cause sleep issues
The actual second-hand ptsd I felt as drew relived the great mouse caper… 😂
Fellow arachnophobe here, I do my best to remind myself they need somewhere to live too every time I see one... 😂 😂
Have you read into how adhd effects sleep?
I was thinking that too. ADHD is also hereditary.
great call out!!
I came here to say that. I have ADHD and typically wake up between 12:30 to 1:00 every morning. I usually have to take a benadryl to get sleep after that but I wake up at 5:30 a.m. for work no problem.

Atleast it's not roaches
Don't ever move to the country you guys...
Oh yeah- never own your own home...
You look so cute
Not me imagining you having to unbutton those bottom dress snaps every time you go to sit like men do with their blazers
