Was there today across the loch from it hunting for an old village, still as picturesque as ever. I’m local so it’s within daily reach for me 🙂. Anyone that’s never been though, trust me it’s worth the trip
@@GaryGough yeah very true, no idea why to be honest. I had heard a couple of times there was plans to finish it and make it a holiday home but god knows what happened to them.
Just watched your last two videos back to back Gary and thoroughly enjoyed them, especially the narration in a proper accent! What I thought was quite funny was that you said what a long walk in it was, then did the big reveal of the pink house, then showed us a B&W shot of it, brilliant.
Nothing short of incredible, the location, Drone footage and music was brilliant. As for your images, just amazing, the image at 11.09 was the pick for me. Still trying to warm to the drift wood image. I know I'll never get to Scotland so thank you so much for sharing that video that shows some of it's beauty.
Thank you for showing, Mr Gough! Great video, beautiful location, cool music. I think, there's nothing wrong with pushing some driftwood into the right direction... 😅 Woulda coulda shoulda.... yes, in such a location with that sunny weather every photographer will understand that. Can't wait to travel in the UK again someday. Best regards from Germany.
An amazing escape from the fake reality of politics and into the REALITY of divine inspiration and creativity with artistic endeavors which lifted my soul into unfathomable heights of joy.
Hi Murray. It was a super easy walk too 😁😁 there's a Munro close by though. When are we meeting up next? I've got a few trips up North if you're interested? I'll drop you a text xx
Imagine living there mate. I can only imagine how awesome that would be, though a little on the bleak side in winter perhaps :) Lovely images mate wit a nice bit of mystery to go along with it :) Great stuff as always :)
Loved this Gary I've never heard or seen the pink house , I'm lucky enough to live in Bonny Scotland and want to venture to this place now another one to add to my bucket list , thanks Gary 👌👍
It may have been a secret location but its not now, I loved the long sweep of the shore stones which leads up to the pink house, it must have been a great day out for you with good weather. And yes if only there was mist or snow or even rain whatever the conditions you would have still got some nice pictures there. Thank you for taking us with you again I enjoyed that.
Loving the soundtrack, you always match that well with your locations. I’m so pleased you kept the wind turbines in, I know they are a bit “Marmite”. I love them.
Spent many holidays in the 1970s on the wyvis estate staying in culzie lodge with extended family. I have returned on a couple of occasions to visit the estate. Many Thanks to Marie and Gordon for there hospitality when we returned. The pink house was open to the elements on my last visit so good to see it has some protection now. Wyvis estate and especially Culzie Lodge ( Now demolished i believe ) holds the most fantastic memories for many of my family and I hope to return one day.
What an amazing location and I'm surprised I've never seen images from that location before. Definitely need to replace the sky in that last shot though 😉 😁
Great video Gary, had a similar experience in Assynt 2 weeks ago when I hiked up Suilven after wild camping and thick fog a mist rolled in for sunrise, just have to go back I guess 😊👍📸
This was a great video Gary! Really well explained and informative. Im only a small channel that I revamped during lockdown. Beautiful images and the breaks between the info was great. Just subscribed to follow more of your work. Thanks for sharing, Well done.
Beautiful bonnie Scotland, nice scenic vlog Mr Gough, Ive noticed over the years that in Ireland and Scotland they sometimes paint their houses in those pastle blue green light blue or even yellows, i think they suit the country environment.
The Pink House is a modern build that sadly ran into issues, further up Loch Glass you come to Wyvis Lodge which is stunning property, both are well photographed and well-known within Scotland. The distinctive pink exterior of Culzie Lodge on the loch shore looks somewhat alien in this landscape, thus creates its own features which can be said to either be a like or dislike. Numerous movies and dramas plus the odd cookery show has been filmed from the Pink House. Paul Paterson Photography
Another great video Gary. What an amazing location. I didn't know that was there. I don't think it is a blot on the landscape as it is miles from any other houses. But the wind turbines everywhere are a definite blot on the landscape. Great images as usual Gary.
Unbelievable locations and photos. Loved the drone footage also. Paula’s narration was another added bonus. I liked the fact it felt like a story from start to finish. A location to return to and I am sure you will. Loved it. Richie x
Great video Gary, I also really like the music you've found to use, too many TH-cam videos use the broken out of key music and it either doesn't fit or is just boring and not particularly pleasent.
What a fabulous place, such a shame it couldn't be finished, the pink I believe comes from Ireland , houses were white washed with pigs blood mixed into the white , it gave protection from evil, I may have got this wrong so if any Irish subscribers could put me right I would really appreciate it, take care my friends, Oh by the way I like your image Gary ;0)
Well done on the photos Gary, and the location is fabulous. While the pink house house may be viewed as an interesting novelty to some, to my way of thinking it's a blight on the landscape, just like the wind turbines. Just my 2 cents...
I must admit, I also think the house is a bit of a blot on the landscape, but that’s entirely subjective and my view is coloured by the fact I only like pink in nature, i.e. in flowers and clouds. I still haven’t got over the shock of discovering my stepmother had painted her garage doors and front door pink, several years ago. I think this is a winter location and would be completely transformed with even just a dusting of snow, on the hills, or a thick frost, in the early morning or evening with some clouds above the house, picking up some pink colour from a rising or setting sun. I don’t feel the wind turbines are a blot on the landscape - I like them. Again, that’s subjective. I really like wind farms in water, but have never seen one firsthand, only photographs.
Nobody should be aloud to own land like that. It should be for all to enjoy. Great photo's but my personal choice would have been that spectacular landscape and not that house. Sorry.

lol
be ideal spot for an astro/ northern lights scene with it...
At least the music was outstanding. The chimney issue is easily solved by raising the mountain range a wee bit.
Not a fan of the pink house then :)
I’m not surprised the house didn’t get planning consent as it’s an eyesore - good light or no, a blot on the landscape if ever I saw one …
How can anything be a blot when it's built on your own land? It's on private property as I mentioned.
