Great video, I am following your great instructions, but they are not working. The QR codes are so tiny, they are not recognised. I have no idea how to input manually. I should just be able to add a device. But thank you anyway. I'm about to throw my BroadLink in the trash.
The S3 hub looks like it could be mounted, any ideas? It has a circular ( kind of ) with sliding looking mechanism.
I am trying to connect it with Broadlink fastcon app to link the buttons with my gu10 bulbs....but it is not working... I am.not able to add it to BroadLink Fastcon app.
Any idea?

Please provide the link for which Android app to install. There are several Broadlink apps and the instructions don't specify which one to use.

Installing an SC3 doesn't work for me using an android pixel 3a. The app allows me to select the SC3 AP, then it keeps telling me to sellect the AP and never goes any further. In smart mode, the blue LED does go to slow flashing, but then the app times out - it asks me if the LED is still flashing or not and suggests retrying. I've now tried 2 SC3's and am getting the same result. Also tried running the app on BlueStacks on windows and get the same result. Still no further forward
I had the same issue with my 1st SC3 but the 2nd one would configure. While working with support they recomended the following
1. Check the router's settings and make sure the encryption mode for the 2.4Ghz network is WPA2.
2. Turn off the firewall setting.
3. Enable DHCP function.
4. Check the port forwarding to make sure TCP 80, 8080, 16384, 1812 are enabled.
If the problem persists, please try adding the device to another router or use the phone hotspot to set up the device and see if it works.
I already had an RM Pro working so I didn't really thik I had a router issue. Like I say, the 2nd SC3 configured correctly. Accrodin to thier FAQ the slow flas inidcate that it can't connect to your network. They also recomended trying to connect to a router that doesnt use any special charicters in it's SSID.
The buttons seem to 'fall asleep' after 8 hours without one of the buttons being pushed, requiring either a lot of fiddling to wake the device up so button pushes are recognized. Is there any setting that needs to be adjusted to the buttons actually work when pressed, the first time, every time?
I have a similar issue however I am not sure it is the button falling asleep. On the Broadlink app I can see the button is talking to the hub as in the history it shows the button is triggered. I suspect the problem relates to the hub talking to amazon (in my case). Do your button pushes get registered in the app?
@@motecreative Yeah, I can have the Broadlink app open and be tapping away at the button and it doesn't show in the app either. I've since realized the folly of trying to get '4 buttons for cheap' and have moved to Aqara buttons. Soooo much better, plus each button has a press, double-press, and long press, so 3 buttons in one basically. (Although doesn't work with Alexa.)
@@chadlachlanross Thanks - I will have a look at other buttons. I am going to try Ikea Trafri Shortcut buttons as well. I'm happy to experiment - so far the broadlink ones are a no-go.

I can't set a routine and the video skips through that part too fast to follow.

Yes they will, you have to go to Smart Home, than it treats them as motion detected.
I will never buy Broadlink again.
