belur temple was built by Hoysala king Vishnuvardhana in the 12th century.
this temple is full of unbelievable surprises.
and it has world's most beautiful stone carvings.
I forgot to mention about the sculptor who made this beautiful temple his name was Jakanachari and there is a movie in kannada abt him.. the movie name is Amarashilpi Jakanachari.
