    Very interesting. It would have been nice to see the dash explanations with the engine running and a test drive video would have been helpful as well. Thanks for posting.

      Thanks Chuck Hall, I agree, I which I could have had the engine running but because we were inside I didnt want to leave the vehicle on. That said, the only real difference is they we wouldn't have had the annoying pop-up prompt telling us to put our foot on the brake pedal to start the car. Glad to hear you found the video helpful.

    Awesome presentation!... quality, reliability, and durability. RAV4 is the best! That's why it's the top selling sub compact SUV in the world!

    I was all set to lease this car until I found out my local dealer can't order the vehicle with the Weather Package, which includes the ventilated seats and rain-sensing wipers. I can't live without my ventilated seats lol-especially not here where it's warm year round. It's a mystery to me why not, but that's the way it is here...

      Hi Guy Merola, I do know that Toyota builds the Rav4 with different packages in different countries. That said, in Canada, both the 2019 Rav4 Trial and 2019 Rav4 Limited have both heated and ventilated front seats.

      @@ZacDrives Hi Zac. I think we have a special situation in Hawaii because we have a local distributor that sells both Toyota and Lexus, and they are the only one in town. This distributor does not use Toyota finance. They go thru a local bank for their customer financing. I also know that our Toyotas come from Japan rather than Canada, and that was the explanation I was given as to why the weather package was not available. Now this came from a salesperson, and I didn't speak to anyone in management. But if you go to the Servco Toyota website, you will indeed see that they only allow you to build the Limited with two different option packages. There are actually 5 packages available, but they only offer the ones that cost approx. $1,600US and $1,800US. My personal opinion is that they have done this for simplicity sake, and certainly not for the customer's sake. I can't think of any good reason why a dealership would want to limit a customer's options, right? In this case, they lost a sale to Hyundai. I leased a 2019 Hyundai Tucson Ultimate FWD and am very happy with it. But, honestly, I really wanted the Toyota! Oh, well..part of the price of living in "paradise".

    Great review. I like the new RAV4. Maybe the prices will lower in the Fall 2019, I am going to buy a Honda Passport or Mazda CX5 or Toyotoa RAV4. It will be hard to pick which one.

      Thanks for your positive comment @Ron Dail. Vehicles are getting better and better and I agree, its hard to choose just one. I like Toyota... but then again, I'm biased :-)

      Mazda CX5 is the better all around choice if you opt for the turbo.

      @@TheMadpressman , thanks, I agree. Damn dealers are not discounting the new SUV's. I would be lucky to get $2k off a CX5. Passport is supposedly be released Feb-4. I bet no discount on the Passport.

    Great review, One thing that to me as an inconvenience. You can't flip the rear seats down from the hatch area. You have to physically open the rear doors and release the latches.

    • @ZacDrives
      @ZacDrives  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi BZ1340, I agree that it is quite inconvenience to have to open the rear side doors to lower the 2nd row seats. Thanks for the comment.

    • @jomojigz
      @jomojigz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The purpose of not having to flip the seat backs remotely is safety, you have to make sure that you are seeing the seat before folding it to make sure you won't crashed on something there. And it is a good thing to hold on to the seat back while folding it so as not to flip uncontrollably :)

    Toyota really did it right w/ the design & technology features for the Rav4. Toyota's stepping away form blandness - its a start!

    What is the difference between the limited and trail/adventure drivetrain? I just want to know why there is such a big difference in towing capacity.

    • @ZacDrives
      @ZacDrives  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi MeMyselfAndTouYube, Great question. I'm not too sure how its possible... I think it has to do with how the engine is cooled. I would recommend contacting Toyota Canada directly for a more complete answer.

    Very nice but would prefer one with v6 instead of 4.

    • @ZacDrives
      @ZacDrives  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Barbara Carpenter, I totally agree with you. I love the power in a V6. That said, in today's market, majority of customers are looking for fuel efficiency. A lot of manufactures are going to even smaller I4 engines (1.5L or 1.6L) with a turbo. I am glad to hear that Toyota is sticking with a bigger I4 engine (2.5L) and no turbo. I have heard nothing but problems with turbos as they age. Thanks for the comment.

    • @BZ1340
      @BZ1340 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also Agree with the V6 option. I have friends who owned the older Rav4 with the V6, They have moved to another brand With a V4 But horsepower over 240 I think it's close to 260. Load up 4 adults and luggage and it's lagging in passing power.

    1 Major strike against the toyota rav4 is the unavailability of a power adjusting passenger front seat. Huge miss by toyota.

    Rav4 2019 is beautiful, only that the engine is quite noisy when accelerating. Something you never mentioned to the viewers. I just bought one in Canada (XLE AWD Premium Package) and I'm not so happy about it. It has raving engine noise. I've seen some videos that only honest car experts mention this noise to the viewers. But the majority of dealerships try to hide it. Please be honest with people no matter what part of this world they live and don't just think about selling a vehicle. Surprisingly, Only one pocket back seat, just passenger's side. Maybe as a caring manager, you should tell everyone WHY. I doubt you give a reasonable answer to my question. After all, money doesn't grow on a Tree.
    P.S. One more corrections to your statement, the Rv4 we buy in Canada has Vin number start with 2 meaning made in Cambridge, Ontario. Majority Rav4 in the USA has Vin number start with J stand for made in japan. Also, there are more exterior color choices in the USA compare to us in Canada. They have many vibrant cooler colors compare to us in here, unfortunately.

    • @louisbinwag3304
      @louisbinwag3304 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are rigth the managers or sales representative does not tell the truth here in Canada .. most of the Rav4 here are made in Canada comparing to USA .. I bought one to Rav4 XLE AWD and I was expecting that it should be made in Japan ..but upon watching here in the yutube I found out that it was assembled in Canada not in Japan so it very disappointed on our part us a buyer....

    I would like for this vehicle to have the back window go down like the 4Runner and the passenger seat to fold down all the way down.

    It would seem to me Toyota would put in the basics first remote start...heated mirrors,,,,,and not have the fancy mirror camera that you will 99.999999% never use.

    • @ZacDrives
      @ZacDrives  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The mirror camera is quite helpful if your cargo area is full. IT is also only available on the Limited trim level and is not a standard feature on any other Rav4 trim level. Remote Start is also something the can be added to the vehicle as an option.

      The trim level shown in this video is the highest model. It has the most features and is thus, the most expensive. There are a number of trim levels that come with a lower price tag.
