Rank choice voting is unconstitutional. Our country is based on one man. One vote whoever gets the most votes wins this is a democracy The majority rules
It's technically a republic and at least in presidential elections... majority does not necessarily mean winner takes all.

@@Sean_Connery things are different on the local level. At the federal level for presidential elections, it's the electoral college (which makes it so that it's not always; "majority rules"). At the local level, it's whatever that jurisdiction decided on. All I am saying is; don't mix the two.

I really hope Oakland can successfully recall this mayor. Not saying the one replacing her will be any better, but after hearing her speak several times I really do not think she knows what she is doing.

The oakland Police department needs a strong leader, as they are just hanging out collecting the pay. Look at what the CHP has done a 180 stolen cars , multipales arrest, Oakland police ? it's not the Mayor but the Police.
It is a collaborative effort, one agency cannot do it all.

The A's are halfway through the door. They're going to Vegas. The new stadium design is really nice. I doubt that Oakland can come up with a more compelling offer. The city is on life support at the moment.
