People need to start suing city officials for neglect and incompetence.
It's not just the officials. Oakland city employees in general are lazy and incompetant.

Except that's just going to hurt everyone in Oakland. Because the money to pay them has to come from somewhere. And they won't be able to use that money for other necessary services.

Probably not. A while back, I watched a news report about a woman whose info was stolen. They had credit cards and a car loan in her name, but when she applied, she was getting turned down for both cause of her low credit score. when it came to the car, she asked the same question. Feds told her no cause it was bought using fraudulent/crime funds
The city should be sued into oblivion for this ish. This is reprehensible, and they're doing absolutely nothing.

Hopefully there’s some financial recourse for their data breach. I’m going through the same thing as a result of Oaklands data breach and it’s a fuckin nightmare!
City administrators are so care free about the issue. I dont sense any seriousness in their demeanor and strong desire to solve the problem and repay these victims.
Oakland can't do anything right. It lost the As due to incompetence. And now this. WTF??!? Not a good look people

I'm just hearing about this today. Merry f'n Christmas my fellow Oaklanders. And I just found out that My property tax has been overcharging me by 20% for many years. Gotta love it. Better check with your accountant.
so was it ur accountant and u actually got overcharged? property tax is ~1.3% in alameda county, sounds like u shouldve known as a homeowner ur first yr u were overcharge instead of YEARS at 20%? it doesnt math

No one is entitled to silence anyone , don't assume people are either but I know who is silencing me , sometimes I find out abruptly or in real time. Silencing , bullying , human sex trafficking and false imprisoning someone while you keep abusing them is human sex trafficking , especially if you hold on to a thing of value of theirs while you do this
Like I'm going through , people watching me my entire life in every place I lived. I contacted places multiple times and they ignored me and never called me back , for many years , even in 2014. You will never get straight answers from people who don't use their own identities and blackmail and enslave others to be in this same situation
