Well the part he says "When I left you," makes more sense now (and he seemed to have matured between the show and the movie I guess that's where the learner part comes from)

He was not a learner in "Kenobi" by any means

Vader let him go because he saw he is weak like a padawan. He was pushing and pulling people all around and he couldn't stop a droid with the force and pull Obi Wan? He left him in fire just like Obi Wan did on the Mustafar. He paid him back like a pro. This is what i think, this is how it looks like. Btw, Vader went easy on him because he pushed him from the fire.

@@yurgalmightygmail Yeah that was my hunch too actually. A real Sith that received a royal ass whooping from a Jedi and wants revenge, would take no pleasure in giving an ass whooping when their enemy's at anything else than full power, otherwise their victory is hollow, unearned, and their true superiority over their enemy would remain unproven. Vader's ego, and anticipation of that moment for 10 yrs wouldn't let him kill him, not after that sad battle lol. My jaw freaking though dropped as he dragged Obi-Wan thru the fire, that's some fitting revenge right there. Not only would he have taken no pleasure in killing this far weaker Obi-Wan, but Vader may have refused to go after them so he can eventually track down both Ben and his allies.
I have a gut feeling that Obi-Wan will get his mojo back and curbstomp Vader, he is completely capable of it imo so long as he gets in fighting shape quickly. Plus itd be a waste of bringing Hayden back if we don't get a cool battle damaged Vader fight with his real face and voice. The line would still make sense if Ben beats him, and so would Vader's caution and fear of Ben that we saw in IV.

@@yurgalmightygmail This is a terrible explanation, no offense. He could have just held him in the flames using the force. Clearly Kenobi wasn't nearly as badly hurt as Vader in Episode III and considering the fact, that he was looking for his fromer Master for 10 years makes this encounter utterly ridiculous. A fight in an industrial pit and then some fire stops him form capturing Kenobi?
