It was sort of like the Imperial Star Destroyer, but it was far smaller and likely far cheaper while still maintaining a good fighter amount as well firepower (In addition to being very modular, as in you can easily make it into a carrier or an anti-capital ship vessel). I think Thrawn would've really liked this ship.
@@GonnaDieNever Well, it was built like a couple thousand years before the Acclamator so the lower firepower and hyperdrive speed is to be expected. It was also not designed as a troop transport, unlike an Acclamator, but rather as an actual frontline warship. I suspect that if it was refitted with the technology of the Galactic Empire it would then become viable once more, though it would be a costly repair.
Given that it's my favorite incarnation of the Sith, I'd have to go with any ship from the True Sith Empire. I still get chills watching that one Old Republic cinematic where the Sith ships jump into Korriban's orbit.
In a "rule of two" era, a good Sith warship would borrow from the methodology of WW2 'Q ships'. Ships that look like other large commercial haulers, then panels pop open, and guns rise into view to wreck your day. In a 'many Sith' era, something like the Harrower, built with whatever tech is available in your time.
I'm not so sure about that. By rule of two era, short of something like a lucrehulk, most military ships seem to have surpassed the size of merchant shipping.

As for a favorite I absolutely love the Harrower class cruiser. I honk it’s well designed for dealing damage with its turbo lasers and has a capable point defense systems. It brings over 100 starfighter in to battle: I really believe it is one of the best multi role flexible ships. It’s not perfect at anything but it’s really good at everything like the X-wing or MC-90.
Interesting that you bring it up. My OC is a Revan-era sith lord, and he commands a Harrower called the "Supremacy". After he leaves the Sith and the Sith fall, The Supremacy becomes The "Broken Castle". This remains his flagship for over 4000 years, a long time to live up to it's new name, as it becomes as much of a patchwork as the Millennium Falcon. He later retires the Broken Castle for an all-custom Flagship called the Eternity.
"If I were a Sith Lord..." I would take a Quasar Fire Class- named 'The Spirit of Vengeance' and fill it with fighter bombers designed for blitz tactics.
"If I were a Sith" My ship would be called the Blacklight... As for the design? thats harder to narrow down, because I would be going for something like the Nemesis from Transformers (G1/Beast Wars), that angular spearhead design, but I'd like big forward arcing battle-blades... not to many (like Star Treks Scimitar design), 4-8 total... Either 2 just on the port and starboard; or port and starboard, PLUS dorsal and ventral. My Star Wars Sith ship would be a medium-weight-class ship too, 500-900m, and which sporting Turbolasers and Ion Cannons, would rely on its psychological impact to break the opponents morale more then any of its weapons. ...really, im a Sith Space Pirate :D

The question comes to mind, what was it like being a regular person in the Sith Empire? How much did the Sith empire rely on non-force sensitive people to do things (like crew a starship)?
In a starwars RPG I was in, I commanded a Terminus class destroyer called the Tempest. But as the Harrower is my favorite, id command one of those called "The Inevitable End"
One day in 1977, five year old me watched in awe as the Devastator loomed into view, attacking that puny Rebel corvette... I have written stories with the Imperial class as the flag ship. I have always called it "Immortal." since then I have written other stories, played pen and paper, tabletop and countless video games that required a capital ship. It was always called Immortal, and unless it was physically represented at something different it was always an ISD. It has been a Decimator (SWG), several Star Trek ships (I believe I am up to "G") in STO and a Battle Cruiser and Battleship in Eve Online as examples. But ISD will always be my first love.
The centurion class ship is by far my favorite. Possibly because Nihilus is my second favorite sith lord. But honestly, if I was to command something like that I would probably name it something simple like Umbra. It doesn't need a fancy name, it only needs a fancy reputation and a simple name that can be remembered.
If I were in command of an Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer, I would name it Tarkin's Legacy, for the man who created the Galactic Empire's most iconic battle station.
"If I were a sith..." Just remember, you asked for this! I'd make a single frame, multi-purpose warship. It would be on the medium-large scale, 800m range. Shaped like a narrow arrowhead, similar to an SSD. The edges would mount turrets and not sunken into a trench, so each turret could fire up, down, to the side, or directly ahead. The core of the ship would be built to be modular, similar to the Imperial Strike Cruiser, with the main frame of the ship (the "V" framework, along with the rear engine area) left rigid and not modular. The frame would be capable of flight even if the core of the ship wasn't installed, though obviously with reduced power, only navigational shields, etc. Modular designs are typically weaker once shields are down; I would lean into that, with less armor and more shields, then employ fighters and escorts to handle enemies with particularly effective anti-shield weapons. It should make the ship extremely tough to damage at all (for its size) in most fights, thus further reducing repair and maintenance costs. In an engagement without fighter and escort support, the ship class would be weak to anti-shield weapons for sure. Bulkheads between the frame and core sections would allow either the frame or the core to potentially survive even if the other were catastrophically damaged; it wouldn't mean much in battle, since both components are required to be combat-capable, but rescue operations would find more survivors and salvage would be immensely easier. The core modules could be hangar bays, an interdictor platform, a space superiority configuration, a fleet C&C configuration, etc. The turrets along the edges could mount turbolasers, anti-starfighter lasers, ion cannons, or missile launchers, depending on the core module and its role. The modular core portion would have additional laser cannons for point-defense along the top and bottom, in differing numbers based on that particular module type. Production would be divided between yards. A shipyard would build the frame while a second yard builds the core module. The frame would be moved to the second yard (or possibly a third) for module installation, allowing the first yard to start on the next frame. The resulting design would be versatile, cheaper to build and maintain, easier to train soldiers for, and capable of focusing nearly all firepower on targets above, below, or in front of it (with targets to the side only getting one broadside, not both). The rear would be a weakspot for sure, tactical doctrine would have to take that into account. I'd call the class "Doom". It would form the core of my fleet, supported by smaller escorts with few, if any, larger craft. The sky would darken with thousands of my ships, spelling the doom of my enemies.
One of my favorite video games is a DS game called Infinite Space. In it, you can obtain well over a hundred different designs of ship that fit into the categories of Destroyer, Cruiser, Battleship, Carrier, or Other. Battleships are among the largest and most powerful ships, though the game does lean heavily to Carrier towards endgame. Various nations in the game have their ships designed in recognizable ways, and some of my favorite designs come from a nation called Reginland. Once I obtain some of their blueprints, my entire fleet becomes very Reginlanic...Except my flagship if I manage to obtain the designs for an Enemonzoan ship known as the Impero. It has a double-bow design and can even fit a decent amount of fighters while still being a powerful Battleship. The funny thing is that the ship was originally designed as a kind of key for a superweapon laser battlestation that can wipe out whole fleets from the other side of the system. So my fleet ends up being a bunch of large blue/grey guns-with-engines in formation around a double-bowed red/black star destroyer... Now, giving some considerable thought to my darker aspects as well as some of the things I most attribute with myself, my Sith name would be Darth Mental. As for my flagship, it would be an Impero-class battleship called the Insanity's Wrath. ...If I don't poke myself on the points of the Impero, I'll cut myself on the edge of what I just wrote...Seriously, though, Infinite Space is a great game that I highly reccomend and I now have a major urge to play again.
I've always loved the Golden Era Sith ships. I would command one of those (but beefed up and customized of course) and it would be named the "Drakodorf" and of course it would have it's own theme music.
My favorites are the Derriphan and Terminus. Love their silhouette. Also, the Knight Errant comics have minor Sith factions active during the New Sith Wars. They have some ships in these comics.
If I had to choose, I'd pick the Harrower (SWTOR fan here!). I'm a little bummed that the Eternal Empire ships weren't featured since they were technically Sith via Vitiate/Valkorian.
Kind of late to the discussion, but here's my take: My perfect Sith warship would be an Executor-class Star Destroyer. That thing looks like a Titan-sized dagger. As for the name, I'd choose "The Aneurysm": even if it doesn't kill or cripple you outright, it's mere presence is enough to paralyze you with fear and dread.
In the WEG 2e RPG my cica 5bby character is restoring a Gozanti to tender their TIE's, but I've found a crashed clone wars era precursor to the Gladiator Escort Carrier that looks like a scaled down Harrower with a Galactic empire era bridge sticking out the top, half it's complement was T.I.E. fighters (the other half where Y-Wings that where used for evac around the time of the Crash). ATM I'm using C1's an R2 and a Betty droid to try and run my Gozanti. C1-11P (Chip) be my side kick R2-CAP (Cap) and BD-0LL-Y (normally Doll, but associates call her "B-Doll" "Dolly" or "B-Dolly") boss around a couple of C1's and a couple of OOM's. I call my Gozanti the "Grey Walker". the Escort Carrier is a Minous class and only has a Registry number with a NX- prefix. If I was to have something for myself I'd like a Harrower built using "Modern" tech, though my "Daily Drive" would likely be a modern tech Fury.
The harrower is the coolest sith ship in my opinion. I really like the Arquitens class command cruiser, but If i could make another variant of the ship, i would make 2 airlocks for tie fighters for the front, and a small quasar fire class cruiser-like hangar in the bottom
I would name my ship the Fluffy kitten giving kisses. Because then every time I dropped out out hyperspace my enemies would have to say "OH NO! Its the Fluffy kitten giving kisses!" and everyone in the sith empire would scheme and plot to get an opportunity to serve at my side aboard, the fluffy kitten giving kisses. This would make everyone feel both silly and weak, which is what a flagships name is supposed to do.
I saw some artwork for a Empire at war mod i believe. It had Ships for the Sith Empire that looked a bit like Battle Barges from 40k. Can’t remember the mod
I always loved the Harrower class vessel from SWTOR. I do like how it can also count as a carrier and a battleship. I always wanted one in the game, but knew wasn't possible until the clan thing was added. I also love the Eclipse class super star destroyer. If I commanded one of them, I'd probably name the Harrower the Emporer's Fury. And if it was an Eclipse class, maybe the Sword of Armageddon.
Centurion class battle cruiser best weapons double than normal with those big guns from the eclipse fan film you showed armour and shields with power generator to match called the reaper
My favorite Sith warship will always be the first bad guy ship we see in a Star Wars film, the Imperial Star Destroyer. As for a name, it would be the "Dragon's Flame."
Either a Harrower or a Sovereign, the Sovereign being a particular favorite of mine. I’d name it Ash Horizon, on account of the color and the sheer mass of the thing. Oh she’d be a thing of beauty.
I would rock a harrower class ship, but with some modifications, I'd definitely want a ton of turbo lasers and point defense guns, but I'd have some tactical anti ship missile batteries and perhaps a giant death beam. Nothing says evil bad guy like giant death beams. I'd call it "Demoralizer"
If I was picking a flagship, I’d probably want something for more of a supporting role, since I’d probably have other battleships and/or destroyers in any reasonable naval formation. I’d pick a Secutor-class Battlecarrier called “The Fated Compliance”
I would want a Imperial Star Destroyer, custom or mark 3 which would have some design differences to make up for the lines faults and failings, such as point defense and lower profile bridge and shield domes. I would christen it The Redeemer.
Speaking of different Sith warships across various eras, I noticed that you barely covered the ships used by the One Sith. More specifically, the video doesn't mention Darth Krayt's fleet of Dragon Ships and Annihilator-class starfighters from the Legacy comics.
I would choose a "Harrow" class and named it "Anubis", in honor of the ancient god of the dead on some forgotten dust ball in the Unknown Regions. And installed 2 powerful mounted MACs and tons of missiles. Let's see how the enemy shields hold up.
I really love EAW Remake's version of the Harrower, it's more modern looking and more powerful since more space for power generation. If I can strap a Silencer or Gauntlet on them I would be unstoppable at least in conventional ways. It would be near impossible to destroy for something smaller than a fleet but you can destroy it with something like the Torpedo sphere or larger. The only problem is that we need to move like a UNSC ship and constantly repositioning to use the superlaser as much as possible. Since it's going to be automated as much as possible (at least the superlaser part) the radiation from the superlaser will not harm the crew unlike in the Old Republic era. I would call my flagship the Purger of Hope. Cause it's appearance will cause the enemy to lose all hope due to it's superlaser being a literal fleet killer.
4:54 800 meters, not 800 kilometers, lmao. You forgot the Sword of Ieldis, the Odionate Gunships, and a couple of others from the Knight Errant comics. I know this was an overview but there's quite a few more you missed as well.
Imperious-class Star Destroyer but give it Venator-like side hangar bays (not the big one, the small ones to the sides of the bridge. That'd be my flagship if I were a fallen Jedi. I'd call it the "Star of Darkness" to show the philosophy of a fallen Jedi: that the dark side is the true beacon of power and hope.

I've always had the idea that if I had a ship, like an ISD or Harrower, I would name it Eviscerator, it's my go to for a ship name.
I've always loved the Golden Era Sith ships. I would command one of those (but beefed up and customized of course) and it would be named the "Drakodorf" and of course it would have it's own theme music.
Could you do a video comparing land based anti ship weapons or just diffrent types of land based weapon emplacements from diffrent eras?
My favorites are the Derriphan and Terminus. Love their silhouette. Also, the Knight Errant comics have minor Sith factions active during the New Sith Wars. They have some ships in these comics.
If I had to choose, I'd pick the Harrower (SWTOR fan here!). I'm a little bummed that the Eternal Empire ships weren't featured since they were technically Sith via Vitiate/Valkorian.
The Harrower is by far my favorite Sith ship. Would definitely name it the Darth Jar Jar
There’s a good reason why I publicly call the Sith: The Shit
Can you do a republic version of this
4:51 the harrower is now 800 km long as confirmed by eck
I would name my ship “The fluffy bunny” because what is more evil, than taking something innocent and corrupting it?
Have you been to Caer Bannog, then?
"That's no ordinary rabbit!"
Kind of late to the discussion, but here's my take:
My perfect Sith warship would be an Executor-class Star Destroyer.
Dave, that's what I'd call my ship.
"SIR! Another ship has just dropped out of hyperspace and closing fast...oh no.... it's Dave." 😨
👍😂
Run and fear, all, for it is I, Lord of the Sith Sir Henry, on the most impressive dreadnought you have ever seen....
The Prancing Pony!
Always thought it was clever to pick names like “Benevolence” for very lethal ships
Little correction: When you were talking about the harrower you said 800 km instead of meters. Great video though!
I'd happily name a ship "The Point" because sooner or later, the enemy would get it whether through force or fear.
I saw some artwork for a Empire at war mod i believe. It had Ships for the Sith Empire that looked a bit like Battle Barges from 40k. Can’t remember the mod
If I played more Old Republic, I could get my guild to save enough money to BUY a Harrower-class Destroyer, and I'd name it "Hammer of Retribution".
Do all Jedi star fighters!
Harrower in a heart beat. I don't care if it's an older ship. It's a sexy beast.
I like how the newer the faction the more vague it got
When you're done sith week you should try to make a compilation video out of then show the entire history of the sith
Now, I love me a good massive warship. So I’d definitely be taking an Eclipse-class SSD and naming it “The Anvil of Midnight”.
Harrowers and Terminus are my favorite capital ships. The Sith Imperial Navy could even stand up to the Eternal Fleet, while Republic ships could not.
Yeah, with McGuffin status nonsensical super-fuel that doubled their ships speed, damage, and shield strength… somehow…
Whatever of their ships is biggest, and I'd name it the Post-Dated Check Loan.
If I were a Sith lord, I would either call my flagship the Baby Puncher or the Puppy Kicker.
i quite like the harrower class hope they make into the movies/tv shows
If I was picking a flagship, I’d probably want something for more of a supporting role, since I’d probably have other battleships and/or destroyers in any reasonable naval formation. I’d pick a Secutor-class Battlecarrier called “The Fated Compliance”
The very old Sith ships look like something from Aliens or Halo. Big flying, rectangular hunks of metal.
some of these ship designs remind me of Halcyon class cruisers from Halo. they even have ODST drop pods
The harrower is one of my favorite star destroyer
I am a big fan of the Venator and the Harrower designs, so toss up between the 2. For ship name(s).... Will Breaker, Fury of Night, or Nolentem Fata.
I would want a Imperial Star Destroyer, custom or mark 3 which would have some design differences to make up for the lines faults and failings, such as point defense and lower profile bridge and shield domes. I would christen it The Redeemer.
The Sith were sponsored by Doritos
Speaking of different Sith warships across various eras, I noticed that you barely covered the ships used by the One Sith. More specifically, the video doesn't mention Darth Krayt's fleet of Dragon Ships and Annihilator-class starfighters from the Legacy comics.
Thought i was subbed, but resubbed regardless
The Harrower class dreadnought is the most beautiful ship in all of Star Wars
