True, but games should also be optimized so that at 1080p they don't consume 80-90% the VRAM they do at 4k (2160p)... which is 4x the resolution of 1080p.

    • @evers6214

8gb is plenty for 1080p high settings any current game works great. You want high rez with RT just pay more. The 6700xt exists just get that.
Id rather have a cheap 8gb gpu option that actually can play games than nothing at all in this price range.

@@evers6214 I agree, but the 7600 should be 220-230$ and further more here is how it goes:
The rtx 4060Ti is a 50 class card, marketed as a 60Ti class card sold for 70 class prices.
The rtx 4070 is a 50Ti class card, marketed as a 70 class card, sold at 80 class prices.
The rtx 4070Ti is a 60 class card, marketed as a 70Ti class card, sold at 90 class prices
The rtx 4080 is a 70 class card(389mm^2 vs rtx 3070 392mm^2), marketed as an 80 class card sold at insane prices
The rtx 4090 is an 80 class card, markted as a 90 class card, sold at ludicrous prices...
So here are how prices go:
      4060 8GB - 220$
      4060Ti 8GB - 270$
      4070 - 350$
      4070Ti - 420$
      4080 - 600$

I just bought the XFX QICK 6750 XT from Ebuyer for £300. I would have liked a 7000 series RDNA 3 card but the only one in my budget (£300) was 7600 or 7600 XT at a stretch which were both way less powerful than the £300 6750 XT. The 6600 XT and 7600 are similarly priced so it's easy to choose the 7600 but if you want the next tier up then you will be paying over £400 for the 7700 XT which was out of my budget unfortunately. Still stoked with the 6750 XT though, it's an awesome card for the price! I don't think you can do better at £300.

So a month later, AMD drivers are already good for the 7600, but I imagine that over the next 6 months the performance will go up a good 5%.
The great thing about this GPU vs. the 6600 is an MSRP starting $60 USD less (one cannot compare a SALE priced item with NEW pricing for a NEW product, it's just stupid because no company can price new products based on a SALE price for last gen, it would take 2 generational launches for the company to be bankrupt, or the company could never have sales, do the math), next great thing is much better encoders, it's about 25% faster than the GPU it's replacing, the 6600, AND FINALLY you can use RT with the GPU, with FSR but still, you couldn't even use RT at ALL with RDNA 2 products because the performance hit was too great.

Have an 8 gigabyte card, buy 16 gig and plug it in. Yes the 8 gig onboard the card would be disabled, but you would double your Vram. It could be done. I am kind of amazed it hasn't been done. do u ppl have any clue how vram works? like at all?
this isnt a card aimed at proffesional use. its a low end fucking gaming card. its not a midrange card its not upper lowend card its a low end card period. its aimed at 1080p and low 1440p settings. mid settings 1440p only needs 5.6gb on the heaviest title in the market right now. 8gb on low end card will last 5-8 years. the card will run out of enough power to run the games at 1080p before it runs into vram issues.
u watched a fucking video of hwu telling bullshit and its stuck and now u reguritate shit u simply dont udnerstand.
this is a 250dollar card but with inflation its priced correct. a 269 dollar budget card for 1080p ultra settings is great in todays market. or u cna buy the worst gpu ever released in a750 and a770 and pay more for way less performance because the a 770 got 16gb but it has power enough to use 6gb of it becuase the card is utter garbage. same as 4060ti that is at best a 4050ti and thats me being generous.
u can put 100gb of vram on it it wont change a damn thing. it doesnt have the rastorization power to use it neither does 4070 4060ti a750 and a770.
but u most likely will be the dumb fuck that pays 500 dollars for a 16gb vram card from nvidia instead of a 6800 that blows everything nvidia have out the water.
but hey what do i know right?

I still haven't finished watching it.
It's his 1st video about the RX 7600 and supposedly a review.
    It's 13:36 long.
The first 5:40 is just about the drama around the release and his personal annoyance of the review-process of a card that has been sent to him for free, followed by talking about the mess of a release of the 4060ti, ending with a suggestion of people having to hold off purchasing any mid-range (or in his word, budget) GPU for another 6 months, to which he then actually talks about the card itself, starting with pricing.
Is the card good or not?
And does his personal privileged annoyance change the performance of the card and it's value or does he include that into his review as a factor?

The only reason I'd play World of Tanks is to see how many times I can get killed in a single match. Not how many opponents I can take out,... which would be zero anyway, no,... just to see how many times I would die during a match.
I played Battlefield Bad Company 2 on my Xbox 360 back in 2011 online and rarely survived longer than 12 seconds between respawns. In all my 8 weeks of playing I scored three kills total. That's it,... just 3. And two of them were entirely by accident and the 3rd kill I ever got was after setting a C4 bomb and detonating it just in time to kill the guy who near simultaneously took me out with an RPG-7. Zero skill involved in that one. The other two?
Well,... I threw a grenade attempting to have it go through a window into a building. Instead it bounced off the exterior and landed directly behind me and exploded killing both myself and the guy sneaking up behind me. Then my other accidental kill was when I ran over a teammate with a tank I was trying to drive during a team deathmatch.
8 weeks, 3 kills, yes I sucked that bad! Ranked a perfect dead last on ALL of the leaderboards.
    So, World of Tanks?
Nahh,... I'll stick to playing Spyro Reignited Trilogy. 🤣

There is no real reason to buy a RX 7600 since it doesn't provide any real advantages. Cheeping out on RAM, 12GB to be precise, was a major mistake.
This reduces price conscious mid-range gaming to AMD Radeon RX 6600 -> RX 6650 XT, the Nvidia RTX 3060 12GB and then the RX 6700 XT 12GB with the Intel Arc A770 16GB as the only real alternative - these are all last generation cards, and Intel Arc still is somewhat of a oval wheel.

It's interesting that they didn't launch an XT model alongside the base 7600. AMD has pretty much always done this, so it makes me wonder if an XT version isn't coming, or if it is, maybe it's being based on the higher end N32 chip that is currently unreleased?

    • @siroz99
      @siroz99 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Ok, I did a bit more digging, and found out the N33 chip used in the RX 7600 maxes out at 2048 shaders, which is the number of shaders the RX 7600 has. This means that if AMD wants to release an RX 7600XT, it will either need to heavily overclock an N33 chip, or use a heavily cut down N32 chip (unreleased). I'm leaning towards AMD doesn't release an XT version of the 7600.

Halo Infinite a ton of VRAM? Umm I play it at Ultra High Settings on my old 1660ti 6gb card at over 60fps. With an old i5-8400 6 core processor. So VRAM hungry on it? Nah. Even on the One X it's like 4K 30fps or so. Not a demanding game. VRAM is only important at higher resolutions. So if you get a 3060 12gb card (regardless of VRAM) it's not future proof compared to this or the RTX 4060, which has more advanced hardware, and out performs it/and others by a large margin. Not sure why everyone is stuck on VRAM. This card runs Buldars Gate 3 well over 100fps at ultra high settings, even runs Immortals Of Aveum decently (which is still broken). This is a great 1080p card, which most PC gamers WANT. You want higher resolutions, buy a Series X or PS5.

      - 24 pin on the motherboard. Because I've seen Optiplex with only 20 pin instead of the 24 pin.
      - the PSU physical measurement (format factor). I hope your Optiplex is not the slim SFF version. But the regular tower, which can accept regular ATX size PSU.

Aim for 16Gb or face regrets sooner or later. I buy a 4Gb card thinking it would do based on my isometric rpg & mmo taste on 1080p screen... Everything she can do is 720p high. 1080 Ultra ask for fsr/rsr to clear solid 60fps and 1440p is out of her range. Glad i paid 185 not 200+, But yeah even 8Gb of vram is no more a consideration to me. 12 maybe short term, but 16 will do for long term and solid 1080p card. Dont forget that even if a card can do 100+ fps twiking settings, vram limitation show on screen and feel like massive stutters making impossible to play without lowering resolution and textures which make the game looking bad, like X360 kind of look in 2023...

8GB VRAM bottlenecks it but if it's low price its fine.

The MSRP is 60$ lower and it 24% faster that the card it replaces.
I do know that you can get a rx6600 for under 200$, but they won't be there for long.

    Lmao. Ironically I own a 13600KF.
I'm wondering if I should get this card as I'm still running a RX570. I've upgraded everything in my system except my GPU because I wanted something with AV1 encoding. I tried out the 7900XT but had such bad coil whine and it wasn't very stable despite having no OC.
I just wanted to ask for everyone's opinion for this card. This is my main list of games:
    Valorant
    Minecraft
Hydrometer and other similar factory games (Satisfactory etc.)
    Factorio
City builder/Settlement builders like Cities skylines and northgard and turn based games like Humankind and Civ.
Main one I want good performance in is Minecraft as I load my game with shaders and mods. I've never been able to get it stable around 140fps.
Oh, and I game at 1440p.
Do you guys think this is a good option? I personally think the performance is a little lacking but I wanna hear what everyone thinks.

It will run Cities Skylines well at 1440p on high settings (83 fps average).
All the other games on your list are less demanding and will run even better.
