I won't be maxing out settings anyway so 4060 is doing well paired with my i5 10th gen. If i had to upgrade anything it was my GPU in my rig . considering only buying 4060 is doing a lot better in my current rig. I got my 4060 msi for 312USD$ if we convert am happy with that deal
16GB of VRAM is JUICY! I got the 6800 XT thanks to your chart and found it for $250 used, fired up RE4 Remake maxed out without Ray Tracing and it's eating up 12GB VRAM and since I always have firefox on my second monitor it shots up to 14GB VRAM used. It's insane how we still getting 8GB cards for $300 or even more. Raise our standards. 8GB for less $250, get 12GB minimum for $250-350, anything above $350 should have minimum 16GB of VRAM. Sharp textures look nice, guys. And it would avoid stuttering when running out of it since it had to load it off to your system RAM.
Congrats you got an incredible deal and it's an excellent card. I got mine in 2022 and it has played and streamed everything I want with maxed settings in 1440p. For anyone considering buying one, just know that the only thing the 6800 XT doesn't do well is ray tracing. Technically it can do it but it's better to just max all the settings and turn off RT. Remember what year the card came out.
Although I do wish to see more VRAM on the affordable cards, I don't really agree that we should be basing pricing off of VRAM or vice versa. Then we'd eventually get into the territory of RTX 3050 16GB cards that wouldn't even be powerful to utilize all the VRAM. It would just be a marketing ploy at that point.
4060 is a great choice if your psu is budget and you dont really wanna upgrade. I wont waste more money buying psu just for 10-20fps. I have things more important than games.
None of the GPUs that were suggested have a low profile version. And you can get the 4060, new for less than $280 easily. So yeah, couple that with low power draw, 4060 is still the budget king.

I will be considering the 6700X and maybe also look for any great deals on either a 7700X or any 6800 series AMD GPUs. Also, could you give me any recommendations for the CPU for 1440p Gaming?
Best Gaming Cpu to buy right now is ryzen 7 7800x3d, if you want cheaper cpu then it is ryzen 5 7500f or ryzen 5 7600. About gpus if you dont want to spend a lot you can get 6700xt (or 6750xt if its similar price) rx 6800 , rx6800 xt. but if i had 7800x3d i would aim for rx 7900gre
@@nozgul3865 I guess you bought i7 14700k or something similar. For that cpu i think you can pair every gpu. Basically if you dont want to spend a lot definitely these are the options: rx 6800, rx 7800xt, rx 7900gre, and maybe 4070 super. These gpus are pretty good. But you can pair it with every gpu right now.
as someone who has a 4060 and is deff feeling the 8gigs be a limit. is it worth it going with the rx7600? i've never had AMD and im in a position where im considering switching at this point
Got this a bit ago as an upgrade from my 1660 Ti and am totally satisfied with it. I don't like buying used parts and it was within my budget. Now I have access to DLSS and can max out almost every game I have, and on those I can't, I can still play them on high and get above 60fps. Playing the new SH2 remake on high with raytracing and am getting good framerates, and that's before an Nvidia driver update to help with performance.
In blender, RX 7600 XT scores 1300 while RTX 4060 scores 3100. More than thrice. VRAM makes no difference on entry level cards and also it's cheaper. In games as well the difference is negligible. The video creator is gullible for suggesting any other card for that price. Also used cards may perform good for now, but remember half of the life is already gone, so technically it should be less than half in price. But that's never the case, hence forget these old cards.
@@ZachsTechTurf The prices in the Eu are a bit different and sometimes a bit higher but i might look on the used market for a 3070 and see if i can snag one for cheap. Although Amd cards are a lot cheaper then nvidia and its basically just the features are different and some games are not as optimised but thank you for this benchmark list and i will take a look because i finally get to upgrade from a broken 1070 i extracted from an old pc i got from my friends and i am making a list of upgrades that once my birthday is (which does take a few months but also not too much) i get to fulfill that list
Hey Zach your mic/audio is still noticeably muffled compared to other tech YTers. It sounds like there's a high frequency roll off being applied and there's a bit of a hole in the high mids somewhere too which makes me think it's a mic issue.
2:35 FYI, 7200MHz is much slower than 6000MHz on Ryzen 7000 because the memory controller has to run in 2:1 mode to keep up with the high memory clock😭

if you want ray tracing, choose nvidia. but if not, you can get more with amds card. amds card can handle more graphical load since they have more memory. it will be faster. in nvidia, you choose it for the ray tracing and framegen. 4060 is specialized in 1080p gaming. in 1080p, 4060 will do just fine. however, since you said you game on 1440p, avoid 4060 if possible. . or so what i've heard. its just really about the price you got and the gpu quality you get. some says that 4060 should be called 4050 with its capability. ppl are upset becuz the 'quality' doesnt match the price.
Buy a used optiplex level prebuilt and slap in used single slot graphics card. From there get more storage. Once you've saved up like $100 money, get a case and swap the parts. Next snag one of those microcenter mobo+ ram + cpu bundles and get a psu, selling that cheap pc you started with. From there, get an EVEN BETTER graphics card (again used)
Try to get a used Office PC, if really have Zero money ask businesses if they have any old PC's that they are throwing away, someone might say yes! Stranger Things have happened, gl bro.
I'm currently using RTX 2060 super 8gb and planning to exchange it with RTX 3070? I don't want to go to AMD for GPU and I don't want to change my 650W PSU which I already changed few months back. Do you think its worth upgrading? I only need to play 100$ extra for this trade
Ignoring RayTracing is one thing. But you can't ignore DLSS. You can play CP2077 in 4K with DLSS in Ultra Performance Mode on a 4060 and unless you take a really close look at a still frame, you don't see that it's actually just rendered in 720p. That's how good DLSS is!
All the options you have given are all more expensive than the 4060 wym same price or cheaper 0:20 furthermore amd's 7600 option should also be trashed on but no one seems to do that
There is nvidia hate virus epidemic going on if you didnt notice. This guy failed to note how versatile and low power 4060 is. It cooks even rx 6800 just when you need it the most, titles like wukong and alan wake 2. On the AMD side they just refreshed last gen and put the same price. 7600 series is less power efficient than 6600 series. Also, 7800xt is slower than 6800xt and offers same last gen RT support. It is very biased crtisicm. Basically telling customers "you dont need RT, you dont need FG, you dont care about TDP, you only need raster and vram. He selectively prizes very aspects that amd is giving more - just raw resourses that failed miserably in above mentioned games. But this recommendation of 3070 over 4060 is really incredible..i can just say this guy is a fking idiot.

What resolution do you play at? Also pretty sure Firefox would just eat up system ram, not vram
That's a nice buy. Normally that's a good price for a 6800 non xt model. Imo 12gb should have been the minimum for GPUs like the 4060 or 7600.
Remember what year the card came out.
i bought a 6600xt for only 150$ and it broke 3 months later.. after i realized that the gpu was used for mining lol
Go big kids. Grab the 7900xt when the price drops.
Im staring at 7900 XT prices daily, will grab one when the price is good enough

But that's never the case, hence forget these old cards.

if you want ray tracing, choose nvidia. but if not, you can get more with amds card. amds card can handle more graphical load since they have more memory. it will be faster. in nvidia, you choose it for the ray tracing and framegen.

Thanks in Advance from Bangladesh, Your well wisher, Emon ❤
is the 3060 a good replacement?
