    You saved me just now, I think. I just received a couple new lithium batteries and they came with the BMS in sleep mode. They have Bluetooth as well but in sleep mode I can’t connect. I was going to buy a charger that will charge lithium at 0% charge, but I forgot I have a jump starter in the truck! I’m going to do this and see if the BMS wakes up and reads the actual voltage.

    My blinking light goes off on my ebike battery all i do to get the light back on is supply some voltage to the aux 8 amp connector and it wakes back up. Im not sure even a small amount of voltage will wake the BMS back up ? Looks like you proved this by connecting a 12 volt battery. Have you tried anything less than 12 volt battery?

    • @annpeerkat2020

      @georgesdesk Sadly these clear case batteries aren't splashproof.... the "cute"meter display on the top is a push fit into the case...if any water gets on the top of the battery it goes through onto the BMS. I'm not talking about it not being waterproof... they are not splash proof... which any conventional battery case is.
      These batteries are advertised as being capable of put in series of up to 4 batteries, to make a 48v battery bank. Unfortunately there is so much variation in internal resistance between batteries that severe imbalance occurs. (Each battery has a BMS intended to balance individual cells in one battery, but there is no balancing between batteries) You can't top balance individual batteries in a battery bank every few days.
      I bought some cheap, and recommended them to a friend who did the same. We both regret the purchase.... might be suitable for use as single batteries not in series or parallel, where there is no possibility of getting splashed, but not fit for purpose in multiple battery banks.

      Not from a car battery . You gonna need over 36 volts to wake up the bms if battery is 36 volts. It’s possible to use a solar panel as long as it’s over 36 volts to wake the bms by touching on the terminals for a short time . Thanks for watching 👍🍻

    What if your battery doesn’t have any of those LCD panels on the top of it? My battery got too cold last night. My CPAP machine shut off and I’m going to die if I go to sleep again because my battery isn’t working 200Ah Giantz LiFePO4

    • @EFFICIENTSELF
      @EFFICIENTSELF  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lithium batteries can temporarily stop working if they get too cold. Only way for bms to make battery function again is for temperature to warm up again.
      consider having a backup power solution for your CPAP machine, such as a smaller, portable battery pack or a generator, to ensure you don't face a similar situation in the future. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍🍻
