Having Billy C as inspiration is a good one...You have some great chops and speed...Hopefully, you've learned or will learn to sight read...You'll never want for a job when you have good chops and can read...Billy's time in the US army band gave him a lifetime of excellence. ...I hope you listen to Mahavishnu Orchestra... Birds of Fire; One Word and Miles Beyond are killers!... The Inner Mounting Flame is some BADASS Billy too! The album Visions of the Emerald Beyond with Narada Michael Walden is Tasty too.
@@Riddim4 you right about that... i got into Bill with the Crosswinds album (pleasant pheasant) ... growing up every Lenny's solo was based on this groove... p.s. i could see Bill on his Vibes or North Drums playing his ass off on this song... PEACE!!!!
Great lesson! However that's not a polyrhythm. The actual pattern Is simply an inverted paradiddle followed by a normal paradiddle. The sticking is RLLR LRLL and all of the rights are played by the right foot. Nevertheless great lesson but the title is misleading because that is not a polyrhythm.
Nice pattern man and great exercise for right handed😉
Today I saw your performance in Hangzhou China. You were very nice to kids, thank you for your sharing.
Great lesson. Thx for breaking this cool lick.
Chambers uses the Hell out of that lick... Thank You Jerome, Your The Best !
Excellent!
Sounds like the Lenny White drum beat around 1:00 in the Return to Forever track Medieval Overture.
Kit mix it sounding on point!
Excellent sir nice
Great Lesson!! God Bless!! 🎼🎵🎶
最高にcool👍👍👍あなたのドラミングは熱くてメロディアスでテクニカルでグルーヴがあって最高にかっこいい😊👍
Smooth man!
Great lesson thank you Floody much!
Cool video and a nice pattern man, great work! Unfortunately, I don't see how that is a polyrythm at all.
Great groove
Me neither
agree... no poly at all :-/
yeah man this is a great pattern, I was hipped to this groove by Dennis Chambers with his playing on John Scofield records
I love this lesson
thanks a lot!

when i think of that groove... i think of Lenny White... the Astral Pirates album... Chapter 2: The Pursuit...
Good one !
I would go further back to Noonward Race on Inner Mounting Flame.

Good stuff bro, thanks for posting.
You doing a great job bro!!!
Chris Thomas 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 thank you
Polyrhythm or not it's a very cool lick /beat played by a very good drummer

Robert Guerra 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Yo this is dope !!!
Phillippe Harris thanks a lot
Wow nice one bro
thank you!!
I use this often as a groove splitting up the pattern between the ride and toms
Shoot you just did it at the end of the video jerome lol
Yeah man... totally Mahavishnu-style....
Thnx maaaan
When you hear people say something is crazy or cool, it’s a sign that they are more self taught as opposed to formally trained and educated.
Awesome lesson, Jerome. What snare drum are you using here? Sounds amazing.
David Mcmenemy that’s a Tama starclassic I believe
Tama ImperialStar.
dope
O my God😮
That’s not a polyrhythm. It’s a paradiddle between the left hand and the foot.
KIIIILLLLEEERRRRR
✔Nuevo suscriptor. Podrías hacer la canción justin bieber sorry pero versión purpose tour, por favor
Polyrhythm????
Great groove, well played. But it’s not a polyrhythm, nor is it a paradiddle.
😎✊🏾...🕺🏾👣👣🕴🏾
That's a displaced para-diddle, not a poly-rhythm. It's a hella cool groove man, but it's not a poly-rhythm.
So... A paradiddle?
Nope Nope almost but not quite
@@JeromeFlood2 oh, yeah you didn't switch positions.
I'm confused, how is this a polyrhythmic?
imo it's not a polyrhythm, just only a divide of 8 into 12312123........it`s a phrasing, maybe a kind of paradiddle variation....
'Rome, this is not a poly bruh!
That is Definitely Not Polyrhythmic(Poly Means:"More Than One")..No KINDA WAY, Yet A Groove Nonetheless...
Good groove. Not a polyrhythm at all.
Literally nothing polyrhythmic about this concept. And I'm surprised a Guitar Center Drum-off Grand Prize winner would make this mistake.
what polirhythm. poky rhythm.
Good player, seems like a nice guy but a little nieve and misguided. He’s also young so let’s give him a pass.
