Amazing! It's too bad the internet didn't exist when I was active with judo. So much knowledge is so readily available these days. Great time for judo!
This is great for Karate practitioners too! We have a lot of movements in our kata that modern sport karate really doesn’t understand or explain what they are when in reality, they’re supposed to be foot sweeps.
Thanks Chadi, really appreciate your educational videos! I started Judo two months ago and i really like it as a 31 years old former Karateka! Can give me some advices as a beginner, some stuff i should learn and focus on? Thanks!
Karate and judo complement each other well. Since I practice both, I will try to give advice. You have some goals in judo, and an experienced trainer will be able to select tools for you - training depending on your existing skills and physical fitness. The sequence of training from the very beginning is described in many sources. All stages are important.
Patience, patience and more patience. Don’t be in a hurry to progress in belts and do flashy throws. Do it slow, do it correctly and then and you’ll be doing it beautifully. Fundamentals are EVERYTHING

Running out of time to talk to that first judo olympic class. All probably well into their 80's and some maybe into their 90's. They would have interesting 1st hand perspectives of the trajectory of judo from pre-olympic era to what it has become

@@Chadi Thank you really much for the kind reply!
I'll focus on the techniques and do them slowly and let the speed come!

Ashi waza is most important takedowns of Judo for police and security.

Maybe it was taken down because I cannot find it either. What is the name of the video? Maybe we can search for it.
